  • Meet Reid Wilson, PhD, Director of the Anxiety Disorders Treatment Center in Chapel Hill and Durham, NC.
    Reid is author of Stopping the Noise in Your Head, as well as the bestselling classic self-help book Don’t Panic. He is co-author of Anxious Kids, Anxious Parents, as well as Stop Obsessing! and Playing with Anxiety.
    He is a Founding Clinical Fellow of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America and a Fellow of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.

    You truly have presented your information in a easy to understand way. I read your book, Don't Panic: Overcoming Anxiety Attacks, twenty-seven years ago. I suffered from anxiety eight years before I found your book and by understanding the true nature of anxiety and by putting your suggestions to use, I was able to reduce anxiety without drugs or much therapy. It was such a useful self help book. I see that you have a book and CDs to go along with it on your website: anxieties.com. I highly suggest anyone who needs help with anxiety to purchase this set. The cue controlled audio was such a simple exercise but truly healing.
    I thank you for all of your efforts. So many people have been blessed by your work. I feel your compassion and understanding for everyone. That gives so much hope for those who feel hopeless and lost.

      Be satisfied and smile DP/DR is basically tired nerves from constant stress and worry from anxiety or other forms of stress. It a natural bodily function when your brain is exhausted. Accept the feelings and don’t add extra fear or it’ll hang around just like anxiety does.

    Hello Doctor! I'm 22 years old female . I've been suffering from choking phobia for a year now . I had a choking incident last Jun and since then my life has completely been changed. I can't swallow anything solid . I saw two ENTs and told me it's anxiety. I have no energy and sometimes I'm even scared of drinking water and I lost weight. Could you please help me.
