Question please. Our trolling motor is 3-4 years old. Occasionally the propeller doesn’t turn. Just started. We’ve resolved by flipping the circuit breaker POR. Which works until it happens again.

Do you have an idea why the propeller randomly stops turning.
@@carolj3 it very well could be a shortage in the mother board that’s in the foot control. Minn Kota had a lot of issues with the old style mother board drawing dampness and corroding the wiring and connectors. They replace them with a new waterproof motherboard. It’s about a 400-450 dollar fix. Hopefully it’s not that but it very well could be

@@carolj3you may want to check one other thing too. When you deploy the trolling motor in the water, see if it bubbles excessively. It could be imploding water into the lower unit causing it to shut off. If that’s the case you are looking at a lower unit rebuild. Buddy of mine paid right at $1000 for that service.
How do you do the calibration on the Ultrex Quest
