between this and the valor, I kinda wish they combined them. Valor LEDS around the bar with the domes on top. Now that would be some major light output!
I saw this at the Harrisburg PA fire show and made a video of it. Since then my video has been viewed close to 14,000 times. This is an awsome light bar
Super cool. I’m currently learning microcontroller programming with the Arduino and some of the other Microchip/Atmel MCUs (Eg. ATtiny13, ATtiny85, AT90S4414, etc). Maybe one of these days I’ll be building my own brand of light bar with your products! ;)
@pinerockfd4073 Federal Signal has received several orders from various local & state police municipalities. Please contact Federal Signal for additional information.
could this be done in an aerodynic package as their LED version has a limited light dispersment being stationary. im just wondering if the circuit board and rotator package could be implimented into a different bar or is this just the best light positioning for a lightbar?
this kind of technology would be cool in a dash light setup with the mirror behind it for povs and what knot, but a killer lightbar none the less :) looks like a new age smart vector
This new lightbar, to replace the venerable Vision Halogen, will be a boon to installers preparing vehicles for some California code-enforcement agencies, e.g., animal services agencies and utility-district security departments, that may have scramble responsibilities for distress calls. An animal-control officer could need all-amber on scene at an urgent or routine call, red and blue when answering a call for backup from police.
Green Light's are mostly for Security Vehicle's here in the US, here in my hometown of Concord, New Hampshire, Green Light's are only on our Security Vehicle's, but I've have seen some Fire Department's in other state's that have Green' Light's mixed-in with the Red and White Light's on some of there Vehicle's, but I never seen any Ambulance's that have Green Light's on them though. I'm pretty sure they'll make an All Green One, they probably have to special request for one when ordering.
Hi Jeff, This light bar was designed and manufactured by the Federal Signal Corporation, located in University Park, IL. I would suggest contacting that location for further details on how to purchase. Here is their information: Federal Signal Safety And Security Systems Group 2645 Federal Signal Drive University Park, IL 60484 Phone: 708-534-3400 Fax: 708-534-4774 I hope this helps!
Nice light system, but way too many controls and options.. Appears way too complicated for a single officer to be able to operate. Going to need a second cop to operate the light controls.
This isn't really true. LEDs have become much brighter than the halogen bulbs used in old rotators but LEDs are available in all sorts of brightness levels.
QNZ NYC there isn't an answer that will be worthy, but for example NYPD uses blue on the back for the becons on the ends. So they could have red in front blue on back.. is it nice sure.. needed is another story
Something as simple, and as awesome as sealed beam halogen rotators was completely destroyed, over complicated, and outrageously priced for cheap plastic and those HORRIBLE LED. Sad. And this is why we can't have nice things. Because of this rubbish that everyone thinks its better, and it's not. It is really NOT ! Parts probably not even made in America.
Federal Signal would like to thank Microchip Technology for this great video. We really appreciate the demo and booth space. Thank you!

FS stepped it up again! This is awesome!
They look good on the FDNY trucks 👏🏼😎
Looks like a newer version of the vector light bar.
I prefer whelen but I have to admit this is the best lightbar ever made. even the old ones

This is one bad-ass light bar.
I'm sure I'll see these lights someday.
It looks so good
This is a great light bar, way ahead of its time. They just need to get the price down and prove its reliability.

very cool light bar.
@JRFF18E I heard more like $5000 as equipped.

What is the lowest temperature that this can handle
This is being sold as the Vision SLR. It is the world's most advanced lightbar.
It looks like my blender when making a festive cranberry smoothie .. thanks for sharing .. Cheers.
some railroads already have those idk why we don't for cars
Very innovative setup!

Amazing
they should make a 3 pod version...i would so get one!
They do. 7 years late.
Put this in a club.

Could a Volunteer Firefighter buy one of these or is it only for police, and other municipalities?
I so want me one they look cool

@jacklimsws that's what this is
Brilliant.
Obviously the person below isn't a police officer..
I'd hate to see how much one of those things COST!!!
I see these lights I see NYPD
can u have say amber / green and white ? for public use
Very Nice.
Actual LED rotating beacons are actually not as actually bright as actual incandescent beacons actually are. Actually.
holy actually
True. But incadesent lights have a terrible current draw.
This isn't really true. LEDs have become much brighter than the halogen bulbs used in old rotators but LEDs are available in all sorts of brightness levels.
FS still a leader
explain to me why you need different colors in front and back?..flood lights fine but other than that i think its a little too much...

Coooooooool... :-o
If you give it to Italian Police Forces, they will become crazy... (to understand hoew it's working!) :-D
มีความอยากได้
NYPD
I very much
cool but completely unnecessary
Wut
Too Many colors and bit expensive
Tow trucks could abuse this by showing police colours.

Talk about over engineered, holy cow.
Illinois has a lot of Germans in it.
the multi colored Fed Sig V shaped bar is better than this , but nice job .
This are more annoying than hid
made in china !!...
Can you get the multicolor LED's in a navigate rotator version
