Are you a fan of Wonder Bread?
Definitely Not ! 😓😓😓
I eat Wonder Bread all the time,
10:38
Nope. Mostly because it's not soft like I remember it being when I was a kid. That, and, at Kroger it's $3.99 a loaf. I can get a loaf of the Private Selection Rustic White (which is SUPER soft and delicious) for $2.99. Wonder bread isn't worth it anymore.
I still like it, but agree with You, it's overpriced.@@Linda7647
Was a fan. Not much anymore in the last few years as it seems like the quality really took a nosedive.
As a kid (70yrs old now) I loved Wonder Bread would always ask my mother to buy it. And it did taste good and had the most wonderful aroma when you opened the package. By the time I graduated HS (1971) it had changed the flavor, texture and the aroma was weak. And that made me take notice of the changes in food products. These very changes that my elders were always talking about, and me thinking they were just old folk. 🤦SMH
It always was good, until the company closed down, sold, and the different companies that bought the recipes ended up not tasting as good. Same with Hostess products.
Thanks.
That’s because they didn’t get the recipes
Yeah but somehow they still sell it. I buy 10 loaves at walmart every week
A tour of the Wonder Bread factory was a part of growing up.
I like bread. Embarrassed to admit I like wonder bread. I toured the Germanic countries and couldn't stop eating their bread.
Embarrassed by b.s. propaganda. Who cares. Stop listening to this kind of b.s. We don't live forever. This is nothing.
A normal functioning human body can handle WAAAAY more salt than they say and a lot more sugar. Stop listening to this population control rhetoric. It's lies. Like gluten. All b.s. stop.
Don’t be embarrassed. Certain sandwiches call for nothing else.
@@john15008. Fluffernutter . Has to be dangerous white bread
I love Wonder bread! Eat it every day…
I like whole wheat, whole grain and rye bread.
I still buy Wonder Bread. I love it.
Bad taste people
@dglawrence5970 I love it too! Plus it makes awesome sandwiches lightly toasted, with real butter.
If consumers are concerned about the sugar and salt, stop buying almost anything in the food aisles like breakfast cereals, like Kellogg's with the built-in herbicides for your taste buds!
Have to smile at this. Yes, Wonder Bread might not be a heath food, but when I see the long lines at fast food places, where they serve food that have almost 100% of your sodium and close to that for saturated fats, don't think Wonder Bread is the worst food.
Wonderbread still sell like crazy here in Florida. It’s hard to beat Wonderbread for a good grilled cheese sandwich.
Does anyone remember Sunbeam bread with little blond girl on the wrapper. It’s always soft smells like bread and stays fresh longer I have found it in Pa and WVa. I wish we could get it in Md. does anyone else miss it ?
Today its racism! Little blond girl.
We have it here in Michigan...
We can no longer get it in my part of the South. But we ate it since I was a kid. I make homemade white and sourdough nut breads every week, but have not learned to make good hot dog and hamburger buns. Wonder buns are really tasty so we buy these most times.
I will create a black girl bread
I grew up on Sunbeam bread! I’ve never had a better toasted peanut butter sandwich! Thanks for unlocking some core memories that I forgot about.
Rapper Danny Brown has a song about him going to the store to get Wonder Bread🎤🍞
All that salt and sugar, and no taste. I have not eaten Wonder bread for a long time anyways.
Wonder got a bad wrap a long time ago. I still eat it sometimes
I prefer wonder.
Is this the brand everyone referred to as "wallpaper paste," lol? 😆
Most of the people who have gluten sensitivities don't actually have celiac disease nor is it the gluten itself which is causing problems. It's the fact that most commercially grown and processed wheat in the United States is treated with RoundUp (glyphosate) which is an herbicide but also kills insects. Some of that glyphosate ends up in the flour which is produced and when eaten will mess up the gut flora in our intestines, thus hurting our digestive tract.
I never like Wonder Bread. I always liked seeded and whole grain bread as it tastes much better.
Why would salt content matter the whole it raises blood pressure thing is really not supported by good scientific research.
This Wonder-bashing could have been applied to sliced white bread in general. I’m not sure why Wonder has been singled out. Albeit small, white bread has its place. I can’t imagine a PB & J sandwich with anything else.
1:37 _... some people avoid products with lengthy ingredient lists ..._
I'm one of those people. If a product has 50 ingredients, and 35 of them are impossible to pronounce, you know you shouldn't eat it.
And the fact that it’s 4.49 per loaf
It was the only bread I ate in my youth. There's only one sandwich I'll eat now with WB, my childhood favorite, salami and provolone cheese. I tried it with many different artesian breads, but it's just not the same, so I gave up and stuck with WB.
I like Wonder Bread 🍞 they are delicious. 😀👍
I still buy Wonder Bread
I loved Wonder Bread when growing up. But, it doesn't look the same anymore. It seems too dry, not as fresh, it doesn't look the same color, and the slices look smaller. I don't care what the ingredients were. I just want the bread to be the same as it was, but it doesn't appear to be. I know how companies can get... buy cheaper ingredients, use different ingredients because they know better, and cut corners to make a larger profit.
At a local HyVee grocery store, the price is $2.99 for Classic White. I won't complain too much, since that's about the price of a lot of other breads. But I remember about 20 yrs ago, we were buying Wonder Bread for $1.29 for three loaves at the Thrift Store. That's probably why they went out of business.
I want the hotdog buns back
Never had it growing up, we always had Roman Meal.
Wonder Bread Quality Went Way Down Once Flowers Baking Company Bought It Out , Now It's Mealy And Always A Hard Overly Dark Crust , Never As Soft And Long Lasting As It Was My Whole Life !?!? Bunny Brand Bread (Bunny Bread Is Also Distributed By Flowers Baking Company ) Is Far Superior To Wonder Now And Reminds Me Of The Great Wonder Bread Of Back When Wonder Bread Was The Best Bread Out There ! 🤔🤔🤔💯💯💯
My dad still buys wknder bread cuz he grew up with it. If anyone wants something else, they are SOL...
Wonder bread was great but I even stopped buying it when I was late adolescence and early 20s because something that tastes that good you knew it was gonna be loaded with sugar and sweeteners and I didn’t even read the labels it’s pretty much common sense.
Every time i see wonder bread, i think of Ricky Bobby. 😆
I buy wonder bread whenever I get groceries.
I have not bought any pre sliced white bread since the 1980s and will never again. Its a wonder they call any of it bread. It creates health problems.
My bread molds before the pull date. I like preservatives because the bread lasts longer and you won't get food poisoning! I can't eat these "healthy foods"
Have you tried keeping your bread in the refrigerator? I usually buy several loaves of whole wheat bread and keep one in the fridge to eat daily or when I need it, the others go in the freezer.
I've been doing this for decades and the bread always tastes as good as fresh.
They also last much longer than if left out on the counter.
Personally, I wish they'd bring ROMAN MEAL back.
I still buy it at Publix all the time
Builds bodys 12 ways ?. 1= obesity. 2 = diabetes. 3 = heart desease. 4 = dementia. 5 = insulin resistance. 6 = high blood pressure. 7 = Autoimmune diseases. 8 = blindnes. 9 = foot amputations. 10 = vascular disease. 11 = kidney disease. 12 = fatty liver.
If it's on sale I'm buying it I don't give a damn hell I buy Kroger bread especially the honey wheat
Ah. No wonder.
Cause it's pumped full of air
We called it “balloon bread” when I was younger.
I call it Sponge Bob bread. It is still very good bread in a pinch.@@Custerd1
Is it me? It seems the meat is more chemicals than everything now than it was 80 years ago. People more sick or more depressed, overweight, I guess we can blame it on Wonder bread@ MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!
The golden circles bread, was better. they don't make it any more.
Anything and everything in today's society is bad, just stop eating and drinking period lol geesshhh
Worst bread of all time. Tastes like a Superball
It's trash.
Nice way to bash people that can't afford these kind of breads. Why didn't you talk about low income people? That's all they can afford. So egotism and pompous. Unsubscribe.
Its the cheapeast bread though😭
