@@shapowlow Either of or he played mind games to make Quest think of the 6 of Spades. Theres been many tricks showing how you can get someone to say a specific card and suit without saying much to them. Not saying thats what he did, but it is possible
Joyous❤
I want Penn & Teller to analyze this
I think he fooled them
@@kylespevak6781 Twice!
@@kylespevak6781 ... twice !
He fooled them 3x.
P&T know all of these slight of hand tricks. Like he said, it was a demonstration of skill, not "magic". Probably all well known techniques among magicians
He is Incredible
At 4:26 while everyone is distracted looking at Quest while Shin asks him a question, his hands dip below the table and he switches decks.
I have been a shin fan for 10 years plus. im never not amazed . he's one of the goats.
When you know how he performs all his tricks, it takes away some of the luster. But you respect the player.
Quest was def in on it.
That REALLY is freakin' amazing.
He coordinated with the drummer. But everything else, amazing.
Never mind about the 6 in his pocket as it was already setup, the audience don't just understand how hard is what he did when dealing these cards , TALENT
5:00 Spades yes?
*serious face* Yes, affirmative. I've made up my mind, Spades would be my unwavering answer to this critical question.
This guy is great. When camera changes to Roots Shin's hand goes under table to swap decks.
Lazer dealing: he is cuffing the cards in his palm. He lays his pinky and side of his hand on table on top of the card shown. Every time he takes a card he is really dealing it into his palm. He is so good at it that you can hardly tell. Now at the end he takes the card he's cuffing and drops them in his lap. You can see him do it. He's very good bc I tried it and it's hard
Ya, I caught the quick dump of them, but damn it was smooth....and that's with a camera zooming in.
I laughed so hard when Jimmy said, "The internet is gonna make fun of me." He knows what a bunch of jerks some people are. Lol.
Unbelievable talent 😮💨
The part where Quest has the 6 of spades card in his pocket ruins the whole trick. Now I know the whole magic was just rigged and actually felt it was much more of a trick than magic.
yeah, that part kills it. especially since quest is a bad actor.
@nawra77 No idea why they didn't think this through.
Exactly my thoughts. Would have been much better without it.
His cardestry is still amazing but man lame ending with the 6
I wouldn't say it ruined the whole trick. The skill involved is still incredible, even if the ending fell flat.
my favorit magician 😍Shin Lim
ditching the cards at 4:04
Where do they go though
@@UnitedGamingyt07 You can see him for a split second moving his hand toward the edge of the table which is where he ditches the cards on the ground/lap.
yeah you change the speed and slow it down but the problem is you can’t slow that down in actual. 🥴
Good catch
@@adamheeley285 ohh
Shin lim never stops amazing me.😀
They were all in on it. The first deck was brand new. When the camera went to the black guy. Shin did a deck switch. Everything was set up in order.
Exactly what i thought. How do you explain 6 of spades in musicians pocket ? Scripted ?
He said spades after he already had the deck in his hand so it couldn’t be pre setup but the dealing 1-2-3-4 cards in each pile is insane skill…..there might be 5 people in the world who can do that if even that many
@@mohitbhadade2579 most likely
@@ScottLulu He knew it was spades because he was in on the gag. But it's all good show business. The 2nd deck is gimmicked to allow the sequential deal.
@@thedevilinthecircuit1414no nobody was in on it. Shin is just a world class magician. Obviously there is a trick to it but sometimes it’s just an insane amount of practice and being world class at something. Dealing those cards out 1,2,3,4 in piles up to 10 takes insane amount of practice and skill
I watched his show it was hella good I enjoyed it👏♥️🙏
My dad's a magician, met him once and never seen him again after that.
Shin is incredible!!!!!!!
Quest is such a good actor lol
Needs improvement lol
Yes that was a shame, it is of course impossible to put a card, chosen at random, in someone’s pocket. It is not impossible to put a card in someone’s pocket beforehand. However his second dealing and bottom dealing is brilliant and his laser deal, apart from the first card that you can see in his right hand is magnificent. The sound effects were perfect and would fool anyone close up. The one to ten dealing is very very hard to do and absolutely amazing. A truly brilliant magician, just a shame he chose an obvious fake ending.
@@stephenbarrette610 Quest is an awful stooge ... lol
@@jh28wd40 absolutely huge respect for him as a musician, and human being. The yeah an awful stooge
Hundreds and thousands of performances still his hands shakes from adrenaline.
the real magic is when the music ended and a drum is playing when he is not xD 7:15
They have 2 drummers
BEST MAGICIAN I EVER SAW
A deck has 52 card (or 54 with 2 jokers). How was he able to do the 1-10 deal when that requires 55 cards?
There’s another Bicycle ads card, look closely the last deck
After dropping some cards during the laser dealing, it would be impossible to have 55 cards. At 4:24 he swaps the decks off camera, notice his hands go off the table
52 + 2 Jokers + 1 ad card = 55
Shin’s hair always looks wind blown 😂 if we didn’t know who he was or what he does for a living you’d think he was a Pop Star. His magic is flawless. Definitely one of the best card magicians of all time 😎

We can rewind all we want....It's freaking magic.🤣
If you know the techniques, you can figure it out. The 4 of clubs at the start is a classic second deal.
@@cgi2173how did it reach questlove?
@@cgi2173 I just have my 4 aces flip over trick always a crowd pleaser.
HIS HAIR IS SOMETHING ELSE MAN 🤣🤣🤣🤣
THE REAL ANIME HAIR U CAN SEE IN REAL LIFE🔥
3:59 zoom in at .25x speed you can see he never puts the cards down onto the top of the pile, he keeps them in his hand then he slides the discarded cards from his hand into is lap
Also cut between 4:24 and 4:25, his left hand was down then higher up and the new angle you cannot see his right hand or the deck of cards, so probably did a switch there.
It's called a "laser deal" created by Lennart Green and it's a very well known method.
@@lappe767 Definitely! Good catch. And after they cut back to him he isn't actually shuffling, and then has Jimmie just push them back into a pile (w/o changing order of any).
@@ltmesq Plus that other cut to Questlove stays on him for 10 seconds so who knows what's happening at the card table. Still a great trick tho, I just always get annoyed when they cut away so many times and don't keep the shot on the magician lol.
You mean to tell me the cards didn't actually disappear in thin air?!?!?!?!
Amazing!!!!! I’m beyond entertained!
He's not only a magician but a mentalist- he made Chris think of 6 of spades, which is exactly what I thought of as well 😲
And who put the card on his suit?
@@cinqo7 That's what I want to know!
@@cinqo7 It was a set up? That is the only way that happens.
Probably put in his pocket before the show .
@@cinqo7It's placed in his jacket prior to the segment.
Yay another magician working with the show
Wait a minute! 3:40 This is a ripoff of Richard Turner's performance from Penn & Teller
it's just sleight of hand, nothing unique about it
I love the lazer deal. I know it as the invisible deal. It's always a powerful effect for people when I used to do it.
Also, clever of Shin to do the 2nd deal before the bottom because bottom dealing is easier when you have less cards. His 2nd deal is really good though.
He’s no Richard Turner when it comes to dealing seconds.
@sapphir8 Very true. Or even Ed Marlo. I love his punch deal! I haven't performed magic for years, but I still practise that routine. Dealing a royal flush from a genuinely shuffled deck is powerful!
I put in edge work as well so i can gauge where my cards are. The funny this is, i can see if the cards aren't optimal so i get them to shuffle them more and more until they're optimal for me. They see it as mixing the cards even more when I'm seeing it as getting the cards into better position for myself! lol.
I taught him. He's a good friend and one of my finest students.
OK, buddy. He’s self-taught. Take your bull sheet elsewhere.
@db9863a how do you know. You don't even know him. I tell my students to say that because I don't want to be in the limelight. I'm a modest person
@@Billy_Bull_SheeterWhether I know him or not is irrelevant. You’re a troll. Ever heard of Google? Look it up. He’s self-taught. Go away, moron.
Fantastic
Really was a demonstration of unbelievable skill like Shin said in the beginning. It's a pity Fallon is a total noob at this though, took away from the rizz of the trick.
