We now have an offensive line. A real offensive coordinator. Real weapon's on offense.. And a truly elite defense. 12-5 this season.
He needs to win Lombardi trophy #7 this contract. That's 4 years, 4 chances. 20 years total, great career regardless. If he can't win a 2nd then the Steelers need to move on. No one's immune not even "The Emperor Chuck Noll". (not Chuck Knox) lol.

Every year before the season starts people always telling me to watch out for Cleveland. I don’t get it.
They are a good team. Watson is the only thing holding them back
Cleveland is dangerous but Lamar and Ravens are still the team to beat.
They say how Steelers could finish last or that Cin, Balt and CLE are so much further ahead on their roster and we cannot compete with them. Steelers whoop them every year in hard fought games so im not sure what they're talking about here.

Unbridled optimism seems to run rampant. Might it be that for the Steelers, this year will just be figuring out if either Russel Wilson or Justin Fields is worth keeping (and paying)?

We were out of the playoff picture and Rudolph didn’t play over half the season last year and came in as a 3rd string QB and took us to the playoffs and that promising, don’t understand why we couldn’t resign him.
From Chuck Knoll to Bill Cowher to Mike Tomlinson ,The Steelers have been the gold standard on how to run an NFL franchise every one else should look and learn from them. All the other pieces are there and if Russ can still extend plays they will be a nightmare to deal with. Go Hawks

Let's be honest.over the past years without playoff success, the Steelers did not have the talent to win a Superbowl, so not having a losing season under Tomlin is a big deal. The past two draft seasons are exactly what would have put us in playoff contention all along. I have come to realize how delusional some Steeler fans are. They still think the Superbowl should be won every year despite the talent deficit.
That isn't delusional, that is a culture and expectation of winning.
This is the best steelers team mike Tomlin has had in a while. Kenny Pickett Mason Rudolph and mitch tribusky is not at the level of those two qbs. Yes we want a superbowl but look at the team the past 2 seasons and tell me this team will win a playoff game because the line needed to get rebuilt and get egos out the door. I can tell that the players are happy to have a qb who will pass the ball downfield than to check it down every play and cry about competition since he was entitled

Never having a losing Season is a lame statistic for Steelers fans who want to go deep into the Playoffs and not go one and out which has been the norm for the Steelers. We want SuperBowls and Not the never having a Losing Season stat by these talking heads.

Leal is not upcoming, he slided down the depth chart last year and seemed to get worse. DL is oen of the worst spots on our team. Benton is an upcomer for sure, Heyward is old though and then a whole lot of whelming players.

It should have been over for Tomlin after disbanding the team that Cowher built. With Rothlesberger at QB and the always good PittsburghLB core, the steelers should have been much better than they ended up being. The problem was nit the lack of talent, it ws the lack of better coaching.
Sometimes a coach and a team need to go their separate ways to re-energize both the team and the coach. Seattle faced that this off-season. Sure an occasional playoff win and winning season records are enjoyable, but the goal is the Super Bowl, or at least the threat of a Super Bowl. I respect the Steeler organizations loyalty to their coaches, but sometimes a divorce is the best thing for the family. I think if the marriage continues down the same path with this new contract, it's best to part ways after 2027.
With the talent he has had, Tomlin is pretty overrated. Here are a few names: Holmes, Miller, Roethlisberger, A. Brown, Bell, their whole old defensive unit, Watt, Ward, Pickens, Wallace... Steelers should go 10 - 0 with that soft schedule this year. I really don't see any excuses.

After Ryan shadier went down it all went down hill, and we still finished 13-3. The defense did not hold up on many busts in the draft is why we have no playoff success as of later. I blame Colbert not Mike.

There are only 2 games in week 1 through 10 I can see the Steelers should have difficulties with being the Cowboys and the Chargers. The other 8 should all be winnable games. 🤨
