As a chemist, the “she is getting 87 out of 102 minerals” makes me laugh so much. There are 94 elements out of the 118 on the periodic table found in nature (the rest must be lab created). And trust me out of those 94, there’s a LOT you don’t want in your body
How many do you actually want in the body?

Yeah lol, shilajit is quite healthy and good for you as dictated in ayurvedic and ancient Hindu medicine, but not in the concentrated and processed packages that Western companies market.

What I don't love about the hydroplaning with the snowboards is that the snowboards float on water but they're strapped to the feet. This can make it difficult to actually get your head above water if you fall in.

But it was weird when he said the bucking horse on her shirt looked like it was having a good time.
Horses generally buck because they AREN'T having a good time. And since that is clearly a rodeo shirt, that horse is having a terrible time as it's purposely being caused distress (some would say tortured) so that it'll try to buck the rider 4:43

Fun fact the lady with triplets was on at tv show on danish tv about families with triplets. She also help with changed Denmarks law for paid parental leave so that triplets family could get more paid parental leave days, so that both parent could be at home at the same time with out shorting the paid parental leave.
That's really cool! I'd never thought of how parental leave would work with multiple babies before . . . makes total sense you'd want both parents at home when you've just had triplets, it's 3 times as much work as one baby.
Wow! Thanks for the info!
There’s a such thing as paid parental leave? My boss told be to work the day my kids were born.
@@companymen42yes in Denmark we have both paid maternity leave and paternity leave 😊 I'm pregnant and my due date was yesterday, I already had 8 weeks of paid maternity leave before the child is even born. And my maternity leave ends may 2024. My husband has 12 weeks full paid.
I believe (not 100% sure) the US is the only industrialized country without paid parental leave, which is very very sad in my opinion 😢
@@companymen42 I'm guessing you are American, there are plenty of countries around the world that give paid parental leave when you give birth(some countries give to both parents), this is paid by the government, either directly or through the employer. The USA has no federal requirement for paid parental leave.
The kid from the salmon ladder just won second place in ninja warrior and he's only 16... That's nothing compared to the other things he does. He's freaking amazing 😊
When it comes to the chlorophyll, my mom went through one of those really intense natural medicine stages, and would give me some mixed with water on a regular basis. I remember that it tasted really pleasant, with a mild sweet taste, and it didn't change the texture of the water. And I was a teenager, so I don't remember having any benefits. But really, unless I just got lucky with the mixtures we got, 10/10 would drink it if it had health benefits.

When i worked at a daycare, i would do sinus massages on congested babies so they could drink their bottles. Learning these massages saved my sanity. You can't drink a bottle if you can't breathe out your nose. A hungry baby doesn't sleep. And a hungry, sleepy baby is absolutely miserable.
So glad to hear you say you'd send someone with intractable migraines and headaches for an MRI. I had them for like over a year and they just put my entire life on hold, i was at the doctors ALL the time, i often even turned up at A&E and STILL no one bothered to send me for an MRI. When I FINALLY got one i got called back the next day. Brain tumour.
I am so sorry for the pain you've been through! Hope you're doing better now 🥺
This type of experience is exactly what scares me about Healthcare. 🥲
@@sohinidutta97 Yes I'm doing better now, I had surgery to remove the bulk of the tumour and radiotherapy to slow the regrowth of the tiny amount that remains. I don't rly get many headaches anymore but my memory is definitely worse.
similar thing happened with my mom, tore a tendon in their foot and couldve been cured and fixed, but every single doctor they went to in multiple states refused to examine them, so now the foot is pretty much uncurably damaged
Ooh that's bad - ANYONE with a significant change in the character of their headaches/migraines NEEDS to be referred to neurology!
I work in health insurance - in the UK, not the US where you're completely dependant on it - and it's something that we always agree to cover (as long as you've paid your premiums & it's not specifically excluded on that individual plan, etc.)
Weird headache/migraine = scans ASAP.
@Blue_Sonnet I'm in Australia and I was ignored when I had massive headaches that were so bad they could have been migraines and it was a new symptom but my doctor didn't want me to get an MRI.
12:08 fun fact: in dietetics, we sometimes tell clients or patients who are constipated to add flaxseeds to soup, water or yoghurt, even for some childreen. Sometimes it really does help because of the amount of soluble fiber in those types of seeds. Of course it's not a miracle cure, increasing the overall fiber of diet, having plenty of water and exercising will also help, along with other recommendations.
I remember only eating liquid food when I was a young adult for a while.
A time long enough, I didn't pooped anymore. I had a talk with my aunt whom had little constipated issues I told her my experience. I don't why, but she didn't conviced. 😏
My dad was in a nursing home for a bit. He said they gave him 'icky tasting stuff' every morning (Metamucil??) to make him have a bm. I brought him home and gave him bananas in his cereal and oranges and apples for snacks and he liked it a lot better. He said he could control his bms a lot better, too.
I love how that one guy jumps almost exactly onto the spot where the branch lands despite it probably missing him if he stayed where he was. Of course he couldn't have known that, but its still funny.
I have a friend whose neurologist thought she was exaggerating about her migraines when she finally was able to see a new neuro (because she got better insurance, thanks US healthcare🙄) they immediately ordered an mri and my friend had a tumor that was starting to push on her skull, she had to have brain surgery but she and her awesome mohawk are thriving now!
This is one of the reasons when I have a extended migraine they take MRI every freaking time. I don't usually have them, so when I do it's out of the norm so the neuros like to get all the tests. Luckily for me I live in Finland so I pay less that 50€, no matter the tests they take.
Not as extreme, but recently my little brother went to the clinic for an ear infection and the doctor told my grandma there was nothing wrong. My grandma kept seeing a white bump in his ear, looking through the otoscope, but the doctor kept denying it. Eventually, they had to go to the hospital later due to the pain and the doctor there said she was right. I've always heard stories like this and thought it was ridiculous how medical professionals could be neglectful, never thought it'd hit close to home.
the same thing happened to me with doctors thinking I was exaggerating and they finally gave me an mri and then a ct scan and turns out I had an 11mm cyst in my sphenoid sinus bone and I had to get part of the bone removed 😭😭
Glad everything worked out for your friend, best wishes to you both

I’m happy to see Mike being entertaining and educating about medicine. Discovered him recently and he’s my new idol. So genuine and passionate with his job and for us to stay happy and healthy
I developed some hope for humanity last week. My wife and I were out for dinner. There was a man and woman in the booth behind us. I have no idea what she said, but the guy replied, "No, that's wrong. We're going back to my place and have a Dr. Mike marathon. You need a dose of truth."
We both heard and just looked at each other with these goofy expressions. Then my wife told me to turn around and tell them about LegalEagle. I didn't, but it was still a cool moment.

Do you know how much I LOVE seeing someone else take that couple of beats to get a joke? **I** am usually the person going, "I don't...um..." ::repeat:: ::think:: And I LOVE you for allowing us to see those moments and demonstrating that, for those of us who don't get a joke immediately...it is not only still funny...but it *wasn't* funny when we didn't understand, and that explaining or giving a moment for it to process is what MAKES it STILL FUNNY, even if we didn't get it instantly. Thank you.

I feel bad for William if he made that
Not even William would be dumb enough to add it to the suit
I have had bad migraines for YEARS and never had a scan or anything. Doctors always just said it was stress. I had very simple blood work done once and I don't even remember them telling me anything about it. Migraines are a REAL disability
Yes it is, my obgyn said if I wanted to take birth control pills he couldnt do it as for usual patient because this condition interacts with these meds (some forms of bc are ok but it has to be discussed with doctor)
Same. I’ve had terrible unilateral migraines since I was a teenager, sometimes 2-3 per week. I was never offered any scans or any more significant diagnosis efforts. I was finally diagnosed with lupus last year which MIGHT be the cause of those (and other symptoms). This was after going to my gp and insisting on specific bloodwork and a referral to a rheumatologist. It’s still going to be a long process but it’s nice to have some direction. One thing I have learned through multiple experiences like this, is sometimes you need to (politely) TELL the doctor what scans/tests you want to have done. If they refuse, go to someone else - a good doctor will work with you to help solve things and not just write you off.
It’s really not their fault, most doctors really care and want the best for their patients, but usually they are working off of a tiny snapshot of your experience. I started keeping a symptoms journal in the notes app in my phone with dates/length of time/severity/ patterns/photos and that made a big difference. The more data you can give the doctor, the better they will be able to help.
i love how long it takes mike to get jokes 😂
