Edwardian dresses were not stiff, and this changed every year from 1900-1920. Fashion in 1920 is not what you see here, fashion in 1929 is not what you see here. This would be 1924 style but the haircuts are terrible and didn't come around until the mid 1950s. By 1915 fashion was open dresses, or the hotel tree silhouette where past the dropped hip section of the dress, it tapered inward. In films this is where the flapper look came into viewing. Dark crimson lip (watered crimson powder/wax), dark eyeshadow, pulled up hair, persian hat, open pants that were flowy, and usually a big glossy sedan/roadster behind them from the mid 1910s. (I know you can't properly imagine any of this correctly, but try., maybe research a 1915 Haynes or 1915 DC women).

The guy's Adidas shoes and women's hairstyles... Still, the dancing and music are spot-on here, and that's what matters.

@@mikegumby4720 Right, but that was for only a split second over 2 minutes into it. I was referring to what gave it away early on. Watching it now, I'm sorry they didn't go the extra mile to really make it seem like it was from 1927. I still like it, but it has a half-assed quality (for those reasons) that does unnecessarily diminish on subsequent viewings.

It was Fаculty project coz the girls study ballet and they had project to introduce style of dance so they pick the Charleston and made the video, they didn't had any stylist оr choreographer, their outfit is made by themselves so they just pick whatever they had home and shoot the video, the only reason it's on youtube is for the people to see how Charleston look's and the dance steps. So please stop asking why ADIDAS or THE LIGHTER or MOBILE and see the REAL PURPOSE of the Charleston Dance Video.

I'm here because I wanted to see what kind of dance Groucho Marx did on the ruins of the Fuherbunker in Berlin when he visited there in 1964. This trio did a splendid job recreating the Chyarelston.

Golden Years of Dancing started in the Roaring 20s and continued on with the Big Band Sound of the 40s, some Breaks for the Great Depression Years and WW 2 and then really picked up during the 1950s with Rock and Roll Dances and Music to match tapering down during the 1970s.
