If I remember right, the activation switch being a removable magnet plate is because that’s where the in hilt recharge port is if you pay more to have it installed.
When I open presents, I save the ones that are the size of what I want for almost last, but save the biggest or the smallest for last, depending on how small the smallest is
I’ve got an old Consular of theirs and freaking love it to death. I did not opt for the higher wattage (I think it’s 12 watts?) and went with the basic 6w LED. But I also use a slightly shorter blade (32in) to compensate. At full charge, the light dispersed itself really nicely. That blade is very durable as they say, and it’ll also be nice and snug in the emitter. Although I did think it was strange that you we’re having big such a hard time getting your blade in. I definitely made the same mistake of not taking out my blade plug when I got my first saber though I felt so dumb
If you got sound, they would have placed the recharge port inside the switch box, that's why they have a magnetized switch cover on the hilt. Since you just got the warrior tier, they placed a dummy switch in there instead so that the inside of the saber wasn't needlessly exposed. I used to own this one, hope you still enjoy it as much as you did in this video.
I ordered the Outcast from the Saberforge site directly. Though it took time to get, I am happy with the product. My blade goes in easily - I would never order from a third party site from them - and I am totally stoked about being able to duel with it.
I cried when I saw you drop the retention screw. I ordered one for my birthday, but got it on my birthday the year after, and dropped the screw and it took me an hour to find.
I think the most unique sabers in cannon have to be 1. Ezras 2. Lord corvaxs 3. Ventress. Which seems dumb at first but her sabers can be both a duel edge saber and duel weild sabers its rly cool

@@Blessed_Souls If you order an empty hilt with no light or sound, it should be close to 2 weeks or a month. A saber with an LED and no sound I would guess takes slightly longer than that. I don't own a saber without light and sound so I don't know for sure. Sabers with sound and an LED take at least four months, unless they're a pre-order saber or have a custom coating or weathering. Those end up taking closer to 6 months or longer. In my experience, at least. I will say there is a way to get a saber with light and sound more quickly, and that is the saberforge page on Etsy. Those sabers are mostly built and ready to ship, although you don't have anywhere near the same range of customization.
I know why your blade does not rest on led module your saber forge lightsaber has a thin neck kind of like Luke's lightsaber in the ROTJ and obi wan in ROTS
Luke's green lightsaber has a more high pitched "crack" and "hiss" upon ignition more so than the blue. The green kyber crystals from Savi's reflect this sound as well

Hey, since you're a veteran customer at saberforge i have a question for you? So i wanted to buy a "shoto" lightsaber (60$) and i wanted to know your opinion on these, like are they durable, characteristics they have and all...
Are you getting an empty hilt or one with light and sound? All of saberforge's sabers are made with the same high grade aluminum, but I have seen other people receive them damaged in the mail. I haven't had that happen to me with any of my sabers( I own three). As for characteristics, It depends on how you customize them on the site.
You realize they don't actually cost $60, right? That's only the hilt without electronics. If you want light you have to pay an extra +$99, and a minimum of +$184 extra if you want light *and* sound. Essentially, if you want one that lights up it'd be more like $159, and if you want one with sound it'd be $244.
All the sabers from what I understand are aluminum 6061 if I'm correct and they are painted I dident see any that were anodized when i was in the shop. Lucky me I only live like a mile away from there home store

Yes the hilt is CNC machine made aircraft aluminum,the blade is a perfect fit so tight it should be,i paid over $500 for the rechargeable sound and changeable 12w led plug in light,37",32" &18" blades, 2 belt clips,a saber display from ETSY.
Did you take out the blade plug? I skipped parts of the videos but I think you forgot to take out the blade plug. Since it’s a thin neck, the led is below the neck
I did haha. I figured out it was the diffusion paper on the inside of the blade. I took it out, cut about 2 inches off and that seemed to do the trick!!
It's brighter towards the lower end of the blade because the light emits from the hilt itself rather than Savi's which has LEDs in the blade itself. Better for wacking things if you don't want dead spots in the blade.
I just ordered the Exile Saber from Saber Forge with sound yesterday and have looked over their website a few times there are two types of blade they sell the Standard and the Thin Neck blade they may have given you the wrong blade for the Saber you ordered
Saberforge has the greatest variety of hilts but unfortunately, their build quality and electronics leave much to be desired. If anyone is looking to get into the hobby, I recommend investing in a Vader's Vault hilt with a neopixel blade. Looks and sounds just like the movie sabers!
Three questions for anyone that's ordered from here: 1: I am ordering a lightsaber that has seven parts: Emitter, Switch, Body, Pommel, Sound, LED, Blade, and Blade Plug. I am using the Veteran assembly service to order it. Are the LED, sound, blade, and blade plug INCLUDED with the assembly service or do you need to buy them separately and the assembly service will assemble them with the regular four parts? 2: Is a blade plug required for the blade to attach to the hilt or it it optional? 3. Do you need to buy a soundboard or does it some with the assembly service? Sorry for inconveniencing y'all with these questions, but Saberforge has not responded to the email I sent 2 weeks ago asking this question, so I have to look for help in other places. Tier Arkhamus it was worth it for me because it was my only choice. They’re the only ones who make a fully built, battle ready, specific replica saber that I needed for my Ezra Cosplay. Aside from that, I don’t have enough experience with saber products/companies to form an accurate opinion on.
Tier Arkhamus The blade is holding up fine, but at first wouldn’t fit in the hilt because there was too much diffusion paper inside. I had to cut off 2-3 inches to be able to slide it in. As for the hilt... the activation switch broke off within 5 minutes of me unpacking it. I glued it back on. The round red switch above the activation switch broke off a week later at Star Wars Celebration. Ironically, it broke as I was handing it to Taylor Gray so he could hold it for our picture together. That was embarrassing. I still haven’t fixed that. It’s just dangling. Then last week the battery stopped working. So... take what you want from that, lol.
so funny story... when i got my first saber forge saber, i wanted to get the blade in the emitter, so i did the steps like unscrewing and stuff but when i had to screw them back in... the screw went THROUGH THE BLADE and was stuck ever since and i had to keep it like that in display and it was a 37 inch blade... edit: its not the sabers fault its mine for over screwing so dont suggent not buying for bad quality cuz saber forge is a good place for sabers so yeah

I would just like to buy one with sound and I'd like to be able to do combat with it. It's my first one that I'm thinking of buying could you please recommend which company makes the best one and doesn't doesn't take a year to deliver? I was born in 1979 and I've always wanted one since I was a kid. I know you can get different colors but I stand by Luke is being my favorite character. You could have also gotten the archon v2.1 from ultrasabers, wrapped some red wire around the switch, and changed the pommel. It won’t be perfect, but you would not have had to deal with the lack of light spreading through
I did a fanfic for a Jedi from Earth, creating Force Powers and Rituals by delving into Earth culture lore and ordered the lightsaber parts that created the lightsaber I imagined, although I had to wait six months for it to arrive in separate parts, by the time I got it, I had forgotten I had ordered it completely so I was like, 'did I order something?' then I was like, 'ooh, yes, that's right.'
Ezra's green saber sounds different from a normal lightsaber and it doesn't sound like his saber blaster thingy either or kylo rens it sounds completely different from all of them
I have Luke’s saber from ultra sabers and the thin necked sabers have a harder time putting the light through the igniter so the that might be the reason for the missing light in the center of the blade but I don’t know. I went with the tri-leds so it might just be the saber it self or the leds aren’t strong enough to push the light through the igniter.
I wish they’d make the lightsabers from legends. Protosabers, lightsaber tonfas, light pikes, and most importantly, lightwhips. And if anybody does make a lightwhip cosplay/display/prop, if you’re not cosplaying as Han Solo so you can be space Indiana Jones; you’re doing it wrong
This is why I haven't bought from them yet, their soundboard pricing is a little nuts. I have a custom from both Saber zone and 2 from Ultrasaber. I got the sounds for my Custom saber for only paid $330, and got a stunt saber (24 inch, no sound) for free.
You got the wrong blade... You need a special blade for "Thin Neck Sabers" it was in the drop down box on Saberforge.com, but since u got it on Etsy...might not have gotten the right blade. You can make a work around by removing some of the diffusion film from inside your blade, (do at your own risk, of course). I have the same Saber, mine fits perfectly. Great Content, I just subscribed, keep up the great work.

@@StarWarsIRL just a quick heads up the reason for the special thin neck blades is the diffusion paper inside with saberforges thin neck sabers you have a tube that extends into the emitter and therefore into the blade when attached so the diffusion paper can't extend all the way to the base of the blade because the tube would ''bunch'' up the diffusion paper inside the blade therfore making it difficult to insert it. The outer diameter of the saberforges standeard and thin neck blades however is 1 inch in both cases.
32 inch blades are better balanced because that is closer to a real arming sword blade length and the light looks better in the 32". I recommend getting your hands on one of those if you get the chance. I just got my first green blade in 32" and the light looks much more even than yours. Although I admit im a little disappointed in how bright the green is, my other red saber is brighter and red supposed to be a fairly dark color. Man that blows that the activation switch fell apart. I would email them asking for a replacement, when you pay that much money for something it should be perfect.
How did you get a chrome pommel with your adept? When I got mine a few months back the pommel was black like the other parts of the hilt. Please let me know I would like to get a chrome pommel.
You know what? I just realized the one in their photos has a black pommel. Either I’m going crazy, or they’ve just changed the images because they ran out of chrome pommels 😅🤷🏻♂️

I think I'm going to contact saberforge to ask for a custom one or maybe trade my black pommel in for a chrome one. You anodize aluminum, but colored metal is likely (in this case) powder coated.

a blade plug is used when you just want the hilt without a blade
They now make a full color blade that comes in all the mane colers and it makes the color stand out better especially during the day

The Allen wrench hole is the blade retention switch. It dictates how tight the blade fits into the hilt.

You could have also gotten the archon v2.1 from ultrasabers, wrapped some red wire around the switch, and changed the pommel. It won’t be perfect, but you would not have had to deal with the lack of light spreading through
Do they give you the option for a NeoPixel blade? Always go with a NeoPixel blade.

I did a fanfic for a Jedi from Earth, creating Force Powers and Rituals by delving into Earth culture lore and ordered the lightsaber parts that created the lightsaber I imagined, although I had to wait six months for it to arrive in separate parts, by the time I got it, I had forgotten I had ordered it completely so I was like, 'did I order something?' then I was like, 'ooh, yes, that's right.'
Your not supposed to take the screw completely out! You just need to loosen it enough to take out the blade and switch from the plug
Ezra's green saber sounds different from a normal lightsaber and it doesn't sound like his saber blaster thingy either or kylo rens it sounds completely different from all of them

I have Luke’s saber from ultra sabers and the thin necked sabers have a harder time putting the light through the igniter so the that might be the reason for the missing light in the center of the blade but I don’t know. I went with the tri-leds so it might just be the saber it self or the leds aren’t strong enough to push the light through the igniter.

This is why I haven't bought from them yet, their soundboard pricing is a little nuts. I have a custom from both Saber zone and 2 from Ultrasaber. I got the sounds for my Custom saber for only paid $330, and got a stunt saber (24 inch, no sound) for free.

You got the wrong blade... You need a special blade for "Thin Neck Sabers" it was in the drop down box on Saberforge.com, but since u got it on Etsy...might not have gotten the right blade. You can make a work around by removing some of the diffusion film from inside your blade, (do at your own risk, of course). I have the same Saber, mine fits perfectly. Great Content, I just subscribed, keep up the great work.

Yes I heard about that. There are special thin-neck blades. I think that’s what I got, luckily! Otherwise, I don’t think it would’ve fit at all.
@@StarWarsIRL just a quick heads up the reason for the special thin neck blades is the diffusion paper inside with saberforges thin neck sabers you have a tube that extends into the emitter and therefore into the blade when attached so the diffusion paper can't extend all the way to the base of the blade because the tube would ''bunch'' up the diffusion paper inside the blade therfore making it difficult to insert it. The outer diameter of the saberforges standeard and thin neck blades however is 1 inch in both cases.
Does it use the same model base as galaxy edge lightsaber?
All the money goes into the hilt you can get a better blade for cheaper. There's some really nice sabers for around £70-90
32 inch blades are better balanced because that is closer to a real arming sword blade length and the light looks better in the 32". I recommend getting your hands on one of those if you get the chance. I just got my first green blade in 32" and the light looks much more even than yours. Although I admit im a little disappointed in how bright the green is, my other red saber is brighter and red supposed to be a fairly dark color. Man that blows that the activation switch fell apart. I would email them asking for a replacement, when you pay that much money for something it should be perfect.
Check out a royal blue saber with a "photon blade" that's how you get a very bright green lol
His is also not as bright because his is a thin neck.
How did you get a chrome pommel with your adept? When I got mine a few months back the pommel was black like the other parts of the hilt. Please let me know I would like to get a chrome pommel.
You know what? I just realized the one in their photos has a black pommel. Either I’m going crazy, or they’ve just changed the images because they ran out of chrome pommels 😅🤷🏻♂️
@@StarWarsIRLVery interesting when I ordered mine in June a received a black pommel with my saber and I haven't seen a chrome one till I saw your hilt now. I think I'm going to contact saberforge to ask for a custom one or maybe trade my black pommel in for a chrome one. In my opinion the chrome only looks much better and makes the saber look more accurate to the show. Thanks for responding :D
