I can't tell you how happy I am to have found your videos and extraordinary patterns. Your patterns drew me in and your personality keeps me here. You're quickly becoming my favorite quilter. Blessings to you and yours, Krista!
After watching a few of your vids, I did an impulse purchase of the large 60 degree ruler, at my local quilt shop. I am using it with one quilt now, and have 7 more planned. The ruler makes it an absolute breeze to cut. I am so happy I got it! Thank you for making my life simpler and my crafting more fun.
I have not yet seen a quilt of yours that I don’t want to make! Lol. I have just finished the daisy bumble bee quilt just need to sandwich and quilt it now. Thank you for giving me back the joy of making quilts.
Beautiful! I love all of your creations: Rulers, Patterns, ideas, tutorials, etc. You explain everything so well making each project a success! Thank you! 🤗🦩
I love your teaching style, I’m making your bumble bee blocks and although your pattern is easy too follow, it’s nice too follow your direction. Thank yo
I was so excited when I saw you had a new video and you didn't disappoint! I love so many of your patterns. I have ordered one of your rulers (just waiting for it to come to get started) and will be ordering another ruler and patterns soon. Thanks again
Just when I think ... how can she outdo herself?!? Yup.....you go ahead and do it!!! You have the most AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL quilts!!! I am definitely sold! Not gonna lie, I’ve been hesitant on trying your designs only because they look so complicated and I’m a self taught sewer/quilter/fmq....but I can’t stand it anymore!!! 🤣🤣😉😉😉💕 I LOVE LOVE LOVE your designs and I’m jumping ALL in!!! 🙏🏼🤞😳
Krista, I’m so excited that you showed a tutorial on this pattern. Needless to say I bought the kit, cannot wait to get started on this one. Did you use flannel on the back or cotton fabric of the plaid? Your fabric choices are fantastic and the fabric really compliments your patterns!!
That is flannel! I found it in the garment department... they have their new fall garment fabrics out now, so it's a good time to scoop up flannel plaids :) this one was just too perfect!
Beautiful quilt, Krista, and am so glad that you posted a photo of the quilt on the bed. Sometimes you just can't tell if the quilt is too busy so bravo for that! Also I just ordered your 60 degree diamond ruler and can't wait for it to arrive. I love all of your designs and can't wait to get started! You are so creative!
This is an amazing video. Your hand actions are fantastic so I am able to watch it in bed with the sound switched of while my husband is asleep. Thank you so much.
I loved this pattern the moment it came out. Still haven’t made it though. I'm thinking it'll work for a QOV. Are you aware if it’s been done in red, white and blue stars? Or where I could see it as a QOV?
I have seen it done it those colors! Gorgeous!!! You might be able to find something by following the hashtag on the back of the pattern... although many people don't use FB or Instagram with hashtags.
I love this tutorial! So excited to see a new tutorial with this amazing ruler😉 Thanks Krista! I really need to get some of that shimmery gold fabric...
Love your videos! Your quilts are so beautiful. Love the modern look! Had to purchase the kit! Makes it easy for us individuals who can’t pick out a pleasing fabric palette! ❤️
Thank you! I typically start with a photo for inspiration... or something that has a color pallet I'm drawn to, then I just wing it :) I almost always pick just a few colors and collect several fabrics in each color shading them light to dark. I hope that helps!
@@kristamoser ruler arrived yesterday, pattern downloaded and stash shopped. Can’t wait to start. Hurry up next weekend....we got plans! Thank you again. I am very much looking forward to making this one
I bought this pattern from you a while ago with the pattern in pinks and grays. I’m so glad to actually see you making it so now it won’t look so intimidating. Thank you do you have the fabric for the light girlie quilt
I am so glad this was helpful Stella!! It really is a very simple quilt to make :) I wish that fabric was still available... I made that version several years ago and I'm sure it's all out of print by now.
You could get a very similar result using the mini ruler if you followed the Twirl N Spin table runner pattern, but just made a lot more blocks! Here is a link to that pattern. www.kristamoser.com/product-page/twirl-n-spin-table-runner
OMY Gooodness! You are brilliant! I absolutely LOVE your designs and how you make them doable for every learning style. I would NEVER attempt this on my own because angles and geometry just get all jumbled in my brain. Thank you! P.S. Could you show us the edging/binding or how you finished the edges? I noticed it was staggered like the stars. Is there options for straight in the pattern?
Thank you so much Lynn! I show this stuff cause I KNOW you guys can do it and it really is fun to put together :) I just did a video on binding inside angles. Here is the link to that video (and if the link doesn't work, it's just the last video posted right before this one).nAlso you can just cut the star points off straight and bind the quilt like normal! ua-cam.com/video/pTo4w-CpGus/v-deo.html
Hello Krista ... I have a beautiful Jelly roll that would look amazing in this pattern but I love the 6 strip version detail you did . What advice can you share ? Friend above the boarder . Suzanne
Hmmm, you could cut the strips down to size, but that is kind of a waste.... You could always save the scrap strips and sew them together for the Many Morsels scrap quilt free pattern!
Oh yes! You could make it really simple on yourself and just cut the star points from an ombre piece of fabric instead of piecing the strip sets first :)
The pattern does not tell you how many gold stripe triangles you need....or how many of those should go down and how many should go up...can you help me with that???
In this pattern I actually use those tips to matchup my pieces! If I had trimmed the tips off the star points I would also trim all the points off the triangle cuts (but it's just as easy to use the tips in this pattern).

Is there a way to lay out this quilt with ombré fabric?
Oh yes! You could make it really simple on yourself and just cut the star points from an ombre piece of fabric instead of piecing the strip sets first :)
The pattern does not tell you how many gold stripe triangles you need....or how many of those should go down and how many should go up...can you help me with that???

Curious, why did you not cut off the flat tips?
In this pattern I actually use those tips to matchup my pieces! If I had trimmed the tips off the star points I would also trim all the points off the triangle cuts (but it's just as easy to use the tips in this pattern).

Do you have a lap size in the directions
The pattern is more of a twin size, but it wouldn't be hard to just do fewer blocks and make it lap size!
