I started to watch the video, thinking, " Pretty, but I'll never make this cuz I'm garbage at y seams." Got through to the end to find out there aren't any!! 😳😃 Now I just need to get the ruler. Great video!!
This is an exceptionaly well done video. I'm completing this today and could not be happier with the Diamond Ruler and my results. I'm not a "quilter" per se, but I can run a sewing machine with the best of 'em. Thank You Krista! 💜💜💜
I am making this today- wish me luck! I am new to quilting (3 months!) but I the obsession has hit me hard. I am in my sewing room at least 6 hours a day :) I have a tendency to try to jump into the deep end before I have the basics down.
Krista, perfect timing, I just bought the 60 degree diamond ruler over the weekend. This is such a cute pattern. Thank you for another great demonstration!
I love watching your videos. I like your gentle way of explaining everything. I can't wait to give this ruler a try. I just have to make this twirling star. It is so cool!!!
Thanks so much for the interesting video and pattern! I'm wondering about a scrappy look... will have to experiment, but I'm thinking it won't be as graphic. We'll see.
MUCH nicer and easier to do than trying to do “Y” seams.. it LOOKS much better too ! Wish you’d made the video right up to completion of the piece even though we got the idea. *grin*. Thanks SO MUCH !

Thank you Krista! I love everything you do! It’d be great with Valentine’s Day fabrics also!
A very detailed and understandable explanation, even for me, who do not know English very well. Best regards from Russia. Thank You, Krista.
Where in Russia are you
@@mariondoski1576 I live in the Republic of Tatarstan, the capital is Kazan.
I was just wondering because my husband was born in Russia and a little town called Kozliki
Another great tutorial... Thank you Krista.🤗

Awesome!
Love it you make it look so easy!! Thanks for not sewing the strips together on the video--- saving time Thanks!!!
I love pattern like that quote in the back that's beautiful
Precioso 👏👏👏
I love this. And I have the ruler. 😍
I use the ruler to take the tips off each of the triangles
Great video. Can you do it with a straight 6" ruler?
Hello Anita! Yes, you can with a ruler that has a 60 degree line but the triangles will be a bit trickier than the parallelograms.
Is it hard to use this ruler left handed and still get the angles correct?
The quilt that is hanging in the back, is there a pattern for that? It’s beautiful! 😍

Fat Quarter Shop it’s STUNNING! Totally going to have to make this!
So glad you asked - I was wondering the same thing.
Are the strips 2 1/2”? What is the width of those strips.
Hello Sharon! We have the free pattern linked below the video. Here is a link to the FREE Swirling Star Tablerunner pattern - fatquartershop.com/swirling-star-tablerunner
I have tried to make this multiple times and the center seam at the is always wonky. I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Got the ruler but need to know how much and with the width of the strips lost the pattern they tell you how much and how wide the strips have to be how do I get the pattern again
Hello Marsha! You can get the pattern here: fatquartershop.com/swirling-star-tablerunner
what did you do with the left over fabric after you cut your diamonds? seems like a fair bit of waste there...
I put the straps in a container to make scrap quilts.
How thick are the initial strips? Thank you 😊
Hi Stefanel, they are 3" by 22". 😊
Have you seen the free pattern on FQS website? That would also answer the question, I think, because you cut the 3" strip into two 1.5" strips.
Yeah! No Y Seams. Thanks
Anyone knows where I can find the sizes of strips she used for background?
Hello Sonia! The strip size is available in the pattern here: www.fatquartershop.com/swirling-star-tablerunner
❤️
What is this fabric called please

I’m thinking geometry is her gift.. I can’t hardly sew squares
You don’t make it easy to buy that ruler! I had another birthday by the time I got done. I’m already 70, give me a break!
Hi Marian! Sorry to hear that, but could you tell us what the problem was so we can correct it?
Fat Quarter Shop you have to create an account to buy it. It took too long to buy.
If that’s all you have to say.....wow
you should never cut towards yourself! I really dislike it when FQS does that.
