A very small fraction of Nigerians live as large as people in some developed parts of the world such as Beverly Hills. However, it's often a shame that just few meters from these places are riddled with poverty. Thanks for the Video Steven.
Oh well, there is no lie in that statement..
I have seen similar situations in most countries that i know, for example, there is a district in Madrid (Tetuan), it's almost like this but the poor part is not that super slum like Makoko neighborhood. Also there's a neighborhood in Newark, one part of a street is affluent and the other is ghetto, i mean like real ghetto. I think we still need to do better in most part of the country though, lagos shouldn't be the main focus.
The people in beverly hills are also just a small fraction of the American population. When I went to LA I stayed in Santa Monica which is relatively good area but the gap between haves and have nots was so wide and at night hundreds of homeless people slept on the beach. When I stayed in Abuja there are very rich and very poor but I don't remember seeing even up to 5 homeless people on the streets. Even the almajiris get fed and have a place to lay their heads.

Are there no skilled landscapers in Nigeria? I've seen cheaper buildings in Ghana with better landscaping! Geez
Stfu
The roads and landscaping leave alot to be desired.
Ive always been asking myself the same question!! In Nigeria its normal for the mansion to occupy 90% plus of the lot with the rest covered in pavement and paving blocks!! A house is only as good as its landscaping!! Those estates can never be world reknowned with such poor tastes in landscaping!!
And then when we all go, it's 6ft x 6ft below ground, sigh!
Yes but you fit chop life before u go na... I don't think there's anything bad in owning luxury items as far as it's obtained through honest means. We should all just strive to be good people, I think that's all that matters.

The houses are very good but such houses should have been on bigger plots of land..with a lot of greenery like in lovely Johannesburg or Tshwane .
Go to his other videos. You'll see estates with enough greenery in other parts of lagos. That area he showed are very expensive area. Except you want to spend millions of dollars just buy a land for greenery alone.
There is a reason for that.
Nigerian societies have an inbuilt mechanism for community living!
And it is woven into the very fabric of Nigerian lifestyle and culture.
We don't share that innate selfishness of other societies, where people retreat from each other and create spaces away from one another!

Try and be calling ur prices in Naira. We r Nigerians, u seem 2 be forgetting that. Even if you call the dollars for the foreigners viewing as well, wouldn't hurt to call the naira equivalent for the Nigerian audience.
The US dollar is the world's reserve currency. And UA-cam is viewed worldwide, so it's basic common sense to mention prices in dollar.
be a bit annoying for the rest of the world that need a known reference, Nigerian money is almost unheard of.
Without "foreigners" viewing, this man wouldn't have a channel. Don't be so petty. Use a converter; it's not that big of a deal to get hurt or frustrated over. Geez.

@Afrimedia you are delusional!!!! We are talking about basic amenities, you are talking about coronavirus!!! Even with coronavirus these countries are still centuries ahead. Please stop this your blind patriotism abeg
@Afrimedia so you are implying that we don't need basic amenities and Nigeria is okay the way it is. Besides why are you talking about America, is it the only country in the world? It seems the status quo in Nigeria favors you.
You are talking about corruption. Have you forgotten that a snake swallowed money in Nigeria? or politicians who faint when they are being held accountable. 49 people got shot dead in the north and the government said they didn't receive any clearance from the military, or the massacre in Lekki where till today we don't know who gave the order. You are talking about American statistics, does Nigeria have the capability to conduct statistics.
Are you talking about Nigeria, a country with an active terrorist group, and a government that pardons terrorist.
You are talking about black people in jail in America, when black people are being murdered in their thousands in Nigeria with no count, no media courage, no justice. a country were majority are uneducated. A country were graduates are now caterers, wig sellers and yahoo boys. You must be absolutely delusional.
Are black people free in Nigeria? a country were the government is desperately trying to regulate social media, a country were the ruling class shared palliative meant for the poor for themselves. You must be a Dundee to compare America to one of the poverty capitals of the world, a country were people die crossing the dessert just to escape.
Its people like you that make the Nigeria remain in the state it is, because you feel we don't have a problem. You feel things are okay the way they are because you don't know any better, i can bet you have never stepped outside the shores of Nigeria before in your life.
@Afrimedia You are wicked. i hope someone like you will never attain any political or public position. Someone that doe not value human life. some that in 2020 is talking about Stalin and Hitler and using that to compare with the situations happening currently in Nigeria. You are very backward and have no value or regard for human life.
We are trying to emulate good working and developed countries you are here talking about Cambodia. We are supposed to be a democratic country for God's sake. So your examples are so stupid, imagine Nigeria is going through what Europe went through in the 1930s and you are happy.
I don't wish to meet some one like you in real life. You think with the left side of your brain. You should get your head out of those history books and look around you.
You are literate but definitely not educated but you think you are. The reason why people should study history is so that it does not repeat itself, its not to flaunt knowledge or for show. i live in canada, people who lost their jobs or were affected by covid got $2000 per month from the government. i am talking about millions of people including immigrants, no one was left out. the country has free healthcare, yes you heard me, healthcare is absolutely free!! Even the most complicated and expensive surgeries, education is free for child till they get to university level, do you know the financial burden that has be lifted from the citizens that way. You call 911 and the police or ambulance are there in 6 minutes, 6 fucking minutes!!! it doesn't matter your status, your age, your gender, your race, they will be there. Those are the countries you should be talking about not Cambodia.
i have heard all you have to say, and i have absolutely no respect for a mentality like yours. its backwards.

The thing that lets down Nigerian real estate is the landscaping. Is this not seen as important
I hope to go back and buy a home in Nigeria.
Not going to lie, it's not really an attractive place to live, even based on this video. I think the biggest thing is electricity and infrastructure. Buildings can look good but it doesn't matter much if you don't have 24/7 electricity and as previously mentioned, a few feet away is a pile of ruble and slum. Price wise, it wouldn't make sense to spend a couple million on a home and not have much in return besides the house. Even with all of that, I have hope for a major shift in Nigeria and want to be a part of that.
Get informed, man! All those estates have their own private transmissions. Who will buy a house worth millions of dollars without 24/7 electricity. Even ordinary Redeemed Camp and Shiloh have 24/7 electricity. Get informed and stop being ignorant!
Crazy wealth.
Do you live in Nigeria?
@@StevenNdukwu No, Maceió Brazil.
Nice views of the better developed parts of Lagos. Even though just a tiny percentage of Lagos residents actually reside in the places shown.
A similar video like this would be nice of Abuja and perhaps Port Harcourt to also showcase the real estate stock in those cities.
Although Lakowe Lakes would be my pick for the best valued real estate in Lagos. I love when high quality housing is set on nicely manicured green spaces. I find Banana Island house spacing to be too packed for the money asked. Besides the houses there are not necessarily nicer than those on Bourdillon or Osborne areas of Ikoyi. But that's my opinion though. I guess, Eko Atlantic is the place to watch for Lagos, Nigeria in the coming years.
But I think Johannesburg, Cape Town and Greater Cairo have the most impressive looking affluent residential areas and houses. And also generally more expensive due to strong demands and generally higher income levels in those metropolitan areas.
The new cities that surround present day Cairo are truly impressive in level of planning and coordination as well as public amenities and infrastructure and this is without even including the new capital of Egypt that's under construction situated east of present day Cairo. Satellite images from google maps are available to support these.
Sleep please..
@james ogah yes there are videos. Just search new Cairo or new Egyptian capital here on UA-cam.

Nigerians do not own the most expensive mansions in Africa. Sure, they have some great houses and certain real estate developments. However, South Africa, in this case has the best, yet most expensive houses in the entire Africa.
You’re only showing Lagos as a portion of Nigerian wealth, and in South Africa there are many places to mention, rivalled by only a few places. Sandhurst, Umhlanga, Clifton Beach, Bantry Bay and Bishop’s Court are a few of these. Nigeria might have the biggest in the West, just not the entire Africa.
Nigerians claim everything my guy
