I went to STLV convention this year. My dad and i got to take a picture with him. I actually called him by Mr. Stromboli as reference to his character and he really enjoyed hearing that :)

I don't see why people are saying this movie was garbage. I didn't and still don't think so. It is old, and obviously was on a fairly tight budget. But it wasn't bad. I liked it and still do.
The fact that you think this is "old" says a lot about your perspective. Meaning, you were likely a child when you saw it first and that's why you like it.
Perhaps because it has absolutely nothing to do with the story of Pinocchio, most of the actors do not stand out at all, some songs if you avoid them and the whole is assembled in a rather patchy way in short, it is absolutely a disaster, even if I have seen worse, I do not consider it one of the best versions of Pinocchio ever made

Brent Spiner was the original Franz in Sondheim's "Sunday in the Park with George" on Broadway in the 1980s. I saw that production. I was delighted when he was cast as Data in SNG, along with my all-time favorite, Patrick Stewart. Everyone on SNG had an impressive resume in the theater before that show.
Zedwoman Yeah, I was first introduced to Brent Spiner through Star Trek, and then grew to love him in other things, this was one of them. :D Now all he needs to do is impersonate Data trying to recite a line of Stromboli from Disney's Pinocchio to Picard saying, "We will tour the world, sir, Paris, London, Monte Carlo, Constantinopaleee," complete with trying to belly dance when saying the last word. LOL

In this film, Brent Spiner is the opposite of Dana Carvey. While Carvey's acting is dull and his singing tone deaf, Spiner gives a performance, both acting and singing, that's over the top and goofy in the best way, kind of an American Tim Curry.
