    Brilliant video! Simply elegant without a BS world! 👍👍 I wish we have more UA-cam videos like yours

    Superb !
    I think makers of the "The invisible man" movie, missed a golden opportunity to have him undo nuts on equipment in the laboratory !!

      Yes, this could of been used by the special effects department in a number of movies.

      @@0033mer Hate to bother but it's *could've, a contraction of could have. Side note: that little offset cam motor in the freezer will make crystal clear ice cubes.

    Did you try opening the padlock a second time to show that it wasn't a fluke?

      I am a locksmith and have done this many times. If you want to learn about locks and how they work check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/JwzlLSfYaMk/v-deo.html
      You can buy one of those devices and try it out for yourself:

    I once had a single-cylinder motorcycle without a balancer shaft. That was exactly how it was. ;-) What's the music? Very nice.

      Yes, vibration in vehicles can be a big problem especially in aircraft. Music is Sonatina No 2 in F Major.

      I don't know what current standards are, but my recollection of bike maintenance is that even on decent Japanese bikes, it was a real good idea to check and tighten all fasteners on a regular basis.

      @@0033merNow I see why Xyla used so much safety wire to lock the bolts that fixed her newly carved propeller to her airplane.

      I'm sure automotive manufacturers also study Noise and Vibration when designing their cars and trucks.

      Keen observation. Actually MacGyver was filmed here in my hometown. Spotted him ( Richard Dean Anderson) a few times.

    Interesting... With variable speed on thew DC Motor could you have found a resonance frequency to lower the nut on the
    threaded rod ?

    • @0033mer
      @0033mer  27 днів тому +4

      Yes, at resonance the nut goes up and if you reduce the frequency below resonance the nut goes down. Also the nut speeds up suddenly when it is half way up the bolt. I made this video for a grade 12 physics teacher who is going to cover those questions. Didn't do this kind of stuff when I went to school.

    • @bornach
      @bornach 25 днів тому +1

      On UA-cam there's a lot of reversed video fakery. You should put a water fountain behind it or something and then show how you can make the nut go in either direction.

      @@bornach Good Idea... But I trust this channel's Videos to be Non Fake...

    • @0033mer
      @0033mer  24 дні тому +2

      If it is a "reversed" video how can you fake the nut going to the end and falling off onto the table. Think about it.
