All of your videos are always great and very informative. Who doesn’t love a personalized machine. I just want to add a little tip. I buy the same kind of vinyl and love it. But occasionally I see a roll of vinyl on sale that I like but like you, I don’t like the way they roll. I buy the roll and cut it into 12’ sheets and lay them on the bottom of my stack of 12’ sheets and they totally flatten out. Might be helpful to someone. I still think your the greatest with Scan n Cut and Stampn’ Up.
Thanks Pat! That is a great tip. I have so many rolls and colors that it would be a pain to cut and store but if I need to, I will. I just stopped buying the rolls to keep my sanity.
Yes, that's how I roll. I also have online courses and teach even more in depth concepts about fonts in those. Thanks for watching. Here is where you can find short introductory videos about all of my courses. thepaperedchef.com/brother-scanncut-courses
Love this. I’m sure your Sister won’t mind the “dressed” up on her SNC. I would be thrilled to let you dress mine up!! Thank for sharing. Gotta get me some transfer tape.
That was a great lesson! I learned some more stuff. I will be trying this today - but with board and smaller text. I don't have any vinyl, so thanks for the links also!
Hi, Kim. If not for you, I would never know how awesome the scan n cut is. I've learned so much from you. THANK YOU. I have a question about cutting out only part of the inside lines of an image. For instance, on the largest flower in the Prized Peony set, is it possible to cut out the space between the stems on the left side of the image?
Thanks for watching. I am glad I could help you come to that revelation. Here is a tutorial on cutting the inside and outside of stamped images. I have several tutorials on the subject and I cover this in my courses. It is tricky but you is something you can try. I don't have the stamp set you are referring to but the concepts are the same. ua-cam.com/video/LQNUQScg-NE/v-deo.html
Love your videos as always. Can you please tell me the transfer tape that you used? I love that it's clear and that it has grid lines. I looked in the Arteza website but I only see transfer tape with 1” grid lines. The transfer tape you were using looks like the grid lines are 1/2 inch?
The one I was using in this video is from Hobby Lobby. It is the Paper Studio brand. I also use the Cricut & Brother ones a lot which you can get online. Thanks for watching. Cricut Transfer Tape: amzn.to/2DjPIIc Brother Transfer Tape: amzn.to/30XnMCf
Great tutorial. I signed up for your don't class but haven't started it yet. I really enjoy videos on the Canvas Workspace because it's still confusing to me because of all the steps. I was thinking it would be great to make a stencil of a Christmas 🌲 or snow flakes but have no idea of what to do. Hugs
Hi Susan, thanks for watching. I wanted to share one of the tutorials on creating stencils. This should get you started. I also created them out of things we scanned in in other tutorials. ua-cam.com/video/5iL-_RATVKA/v-deo.html
@@PaperedChef Yep I saw that one and made both stencils. I saw a video where someone used a simple tree stencil and used both parts. The actual tree was used as a mask for ink blending. I haven't seen a stencil that gave you both parts. Just an idea.
I am not sure what you mean by weeding boxes. I do have the latest updates but I am not familiar with that feature and therefore, can't teach others about it. Please tell me more. Is it a software feature (Canvas Workspace) or a machine feature? If it is a machine feature, which model? I have 3 machines but not the latest model. Thanks.
Kim - I was attempting to weld "Sharon" but there is a gap between the "r" and the "o". Is there a way to move the two letters closer together? I can move the entire text but can't figure out how to select individual letters. Thank you for the great videos!
Hi Sharon, thanks for watching. Yes, there is a way. Add one letter at a time to your mat inside of Canvas. Then, each will become separate objects and you can move them individually. Then, after overlapping them, you can weld them together.
Oh no, you don't have to save it first. I was mentioning in my video that it is a best practice to have your files in two places. I have lost files before. I recorded this a few times so maybe my comment didn't make the cut but YES, just transfer it directly to your machine wirelessly or via thumb drive.
I didn't take any of my ScanNCuts with me. My sister let me borrow her machine. This is the one she owns. If I were to take one with me, it would be the CM350 because it is lighter and more reliable.
@@YehoodToob Yes, of course I could write the name in lower case but I like having a capital letter at the beginning of the name. I just think it looks better.

I just purchased Fonts this week and I had beginner and then next one for the C model. I was blessed to catch your sale. 😍
Karla Bostic Thanks for taking my courses. I appreciate your support.

Great tutorial Kim, and happy to know about the Arteza vinyl - I have some of their watercolor paints and they are great - thank you so much!!!
Oh how cool Cheryl, you are a true artist! They do make great stuff. I will be playing with vinyl some more in future tutorials.

I didn't even tell her but she subscribes to my UA-cam channel and saw it herself. She was pleasantly surprised.
I’m sure she is pleased.

I'm glad you like this Chrissy. I love your enthusiasm for my videos.
Great tutorial! Thanks! I have a SDX but now I have a better idea of how to maximize my use of the Canvas Workspace.
Glad it was helpful! You will find yourself personalizing everything in sight. It is so much fun.

Awesome Jeannette! I’m glad this was useful. My Sister will be happy when she sees that I personalized her machine with this fun vinyl.
Great tutorial...thank you
Thanks Linda. I am glad you like this tutorial. I wanted to make sure and include every step so that you could repeat it.

Hi. Does the Canvas Workspace work on the CM300?
Check out the vinyl at Sparkleberry Ink. It is amazing and very different.
Thanks for the tip Marion. I checked that out too and love the glitter. I have enough vinyl to last me a very long time so I'm good for now.

Thanks for the lesson. Do you have to save it to a thumb drive or can you just send it to your Scan & Cut DX from your PC?

From where u get mate . it. Not original.
My brother350 not actively. Wireless it will work for. Me?
If you have the CM350, then you need a wireless activation card in order for your wireless feature to work.
For usb as u make i also need wirless?
WOW fun
Thanks Linda, I’m glad you enjoyed this tutorial.
Cm350 I insert diskonkey and jot recognized
Just curious. What helped you decide to travel with the CM350 instead of your DX model?
Also...do you have suggestions for welding " Polly "?
@@pafloyd8 you could do it all in lower case
