- Former president Donald Trump spoke Friday at Trump Tower after his legal team made its appeal arguments in the E. Jean Carroll case in which a jury found Trump liable of sexually abusing and defaming the advice columnist in 1996. The jury awarded E. Jean Carroll $5 million.
