Austrian states have also been reworked. You can see Burgenland as a separate state, probably so Hungary could annex it in its expansionist path.
Is there a Fascist path for Austria where Austria still remains a playable nation? Is that what you meant when you said historical DMZ?

Despite almost being the same I think the Austrian Painter's new portrait (0:46) looks weird. It's got a different colour tone than everyone else, like they were all shot under yellowish lighting and he's under flat white lighting.

As a Belgian looking forward to the new content for my country, I am disturbed that the border between Flanders and Wallonia is still drawn so weirdly, even if that border didn't exist yet in 1936.

I see the Fatherland Front is still considered Non-Align despite being Fascist and under the protection of Mussolini's Fascist Italy during much of the 30s and even modeled itself off the Italian Fascist Party. I really hope the DNSAP also doesn't use the Fatherland Front Flag like it did throughout most of the game's history. Generally just disappointed that this game isn't addressing this fracture in Austrian politics proper. To be honest the Fatherland Front should be the Fascist Party in Austria, not Non-Align. The DNSAP shouldn't even be playable outside of eventually being annexed by Germany as the whole point of the DNSAP was for German unification with greater Germany so the DNSAP would lead to Austria no longer existing. DNSAP shouldn't be playable in any way in short. The Fatherland Front should be the defacto Fascist Party in Austria.
Unfortunately what happens when a game meant to have extremely simple politics tries tackling complex politics.
First thing I noticed in this video as well, its extremely weird to have a Fascist Party labelled as Non-Aligned and Centrist

1. The VF won't stay non aligned, they turn fascist after like 3 focuses. Pay attention
2. They weren't fascist irl. In fact the VF considered itself a non partisan group, meant for any Austrian who wished to protect its independence. Non aligned is the most fitting
3. Pdx is making the nazis non aligned instead of the VF. Much better right? Smh

You can already form the hre by going german empire, doing the decision to prevent hindenburg disaster, then going the british naval superiority focus, and iirc, when sending the imperial family to london keep victoria at home. After the zeppelin gets lost with all hands, victoria assumes power and you get the decision to form the hre

This looks amazing, also a thank you is in order for including Heinrich Maier as a political advisor. Not the most well known historical figure, but he did a lot to establish a spy network in Austria during the war, so amazing to see. I hope you haven't forgotten about his colleagues Franz Messner, who could be a great synthetics advisor or Josef Joham who would be a good economics advisor

This is gonna be very interesting.
Still waiting for the Southeast Asia DLC pack with Japan and China rework if possible. I mean the mainland is possibly the most overlook front of the war. Not to mentioned there are so much potential in the region. Like what if Indochina and Dutch East Indies revolt and start war of independence against colonial overlords or What if Siam/Thailand resisted Japanese invasion and overthrow dictator and join the allied instead. Since we're also got Central Asia DLC pack and Raj rework after Götterdämmerung. So I'm hope that SEA region will be on the list of next

I am overall excited about the austria rework and the only thing I want to see be further developed is the industry tree and maybe some minor additions to monachist.
I think that the monarchist path should have also had focuses to restore the holy roman empire or to get back old austrian territories like belgium burgundy spain italy. 👍

Question is there ahistorical Focus tree about Fascism in Austria when Germany goes Monarchy? Since wouldn't Aschluss centered focus be useless. I want more focus tree for Austria about similar to Monarchy but added special focus tree for Holy roman empire or it would be funny but disunited germany and only took Bavarian states. Since It wouldn't be fun that you force into Monarchy and form Austria-Hungary.
Also What about the left over code about, when you play as Democratic or Monarchy and Austria join your faction, Is there a choice to either denied, Accept the integration or play as Germany instead. Or it is AI only option.

Do we get some proper austrian plane and tank designs instead of generic ones ? I loved when you filled Hungary's planes with fictional designs inspired by some prototypes. Like the WM-37 bomber which design seems to be inspired by the Varga RMI-1 heavy fighter.
Ireland, Albania, Luxembourg, and Belgium (until Oct 30th) are now the only nations in Europe without a focus tree.

It’s funny cause road to 56 just released their Austria update and I played the Austrian Empire path, and so far it’s kinda bad, I don’t think you can core anything, this looks much better. Their system about combating NSDP influence in the different Austrian states is a good mechanic tho
