I just bought a 10,meter edge monster. I’ve never used a pole but I throughly enjoyed is. Also today I’ve been out and bought a Preston innovation box with every add on you can get along with a Preston innovation feeder rod and pellet waggler rod. If I don’t perform then I know who to come too lol. Even at 66 I’m trying lol.
Totally absorbing video. Excellent detail a small knowledge. Think you’re in danger of becoming more technical the Me Hughes. Nice one Andy, very timely too.
Great video as always, I cant say i've ever seen someone run a side table on both sides, I wonder if the right one is purely to add a leg to mount the roost to?
This might be a stupid question but if the fish are up in the water can you make them feed on the bottom by using ground bait, or do you have to adapt to where the fish are?
Hi mate if you don’t want to fish shallow then you can lay some bait on the bottom like you said ground bait is good but has to be hard to hit the bottom and break up any bait comes off in the top layers will keep the fish feeding shallow. So heavy float witch will allow for a heavier bulk rig to get to the bottom and try and force them down. Also fishing shallow will have some bait go to the bottom so you could try shallow while your bait goes down and the ground bait settles and force them down that way then your fishing all the time hope this helps tight lines 🎣
Fairly new to carp fishing i see you using rhe short f1 kits i dont currently have any at the moment and was wondering what grade elastic you would recomend for f1 fishing please?
A lovely day to be fishing Chris today buddy
Andy's a great teacher. Makes everything sound simple. Top video.

Love these videos, I'm going pole fishing for the first time on Friday, cant wait, any tips lol
Enjoy yourself :)
Great video, well explained. does anyone know what Andy is using to put his near pole roost into ??
You taking about rollers or the pole sock and tulip?

Depends if you want more room to store things :)
Great watch as usual, very informative Andy and Preston, I have some short DWA grey kits , how can I get depth markers for them , a brilliant idea
Hi William, I'm afraid the DWA kits don't come with depth markers. You could add markers with stickers or permanent marker or Tipex
Andy I have a few big bore short edge top kits ( rated 20 elastic) would these be ok for carp shallow. Great vid by the way 👍
Yes they would :)
How do you get your caster on the band without it bursting

mate he is using the green dura slip hibrid 1.8mm.
How big a carp could a short kit with 13 dura slip handle. Cheers 👍
There's no limit on it really. It all depends on the size of the venue and how much water they have to swim off into.
A shame bait , like everything is so expensive nowadays, those that can afford a gallon of casters are definitely at an advantage .
Thats why some venues have banned casters.
Well said cuz it’s right
You can make them yourself for free you plums
@@adamdooley5279 hahah I no that naw . 🤣🤣😂🤧🤧
As much as I love watching pole fishing I’ve never got on with it & I don’t know why. I know it’s a good method but I will stick to rod/reel.
You should really give it another go!
