    Excellent proformance Andy. I think your comment at the start of the match was how great anglers go about his match. I have no set plans for today. I will let the fish dictate how they want it and, adapt to it. Wise words

    Coolness personified! Such a methodical angler, never rushing but just going through the gears. I think the main advice I take from this is to be in less of a hurry- seeing what the fish want rather than having a set plan is excellent advice.

    Hi Andy, thanks for sharing your experience.
    I used to match fish a silver fish venue , where your target weight was 15lb in 3hrs . It was on the drop fishing 2/ 3oz fish to hand, or if you could suss out the skimmers you could hit the frame every time with fish around 6oz mark. Skimmers would drive me mad 🤨 you could feed a small ball of ground bait and the swim was like a jacuzzi boiling and fizzing.but hitting the bites was a nightmare 🙄 wasted so much time trying to catch the better stamp of obviously feeding fish, thanks for sharing your experience I now think I know what I was doing wrong 👍

      This seems to be a popular setup when fishing for larger carp as under the initial run it gives that little bit of extra give to save a line breaking/elastic bottoming out ! That extra foot of elastic pulls through the bead under tension. Not tried it myself.

    The Power of Andy - constantly working the peg. When you see those anglers opposite - are they cardboard cutouts? 😂 Kudos to the filming and editing - lovely to watch - thanks. Please could you advise which elastic Andy's using on the long pole - was it Hollo?

    • @paulstaniford8622
      @paulstaniford8622 Рік тому +1

      Yep. He uses the original Hollo elastic in 13 and 15. The one that’s been out 15+ years in the UK. Not the newer Dura Slip.

    • @wharfeego
      @wharfeego Рік тому

      @@paulstaniford8622 I wonder why Andy chooses the old over the new? Perhaps just personal preference?

    • @UKprestoninnovations
      @UKprestoninnovations  Рік тому

      Andy prefers to use the original hollo elastics for his carp fishing. In this instance he's using 13hollow shallow and 15 down the edge

    Used to be an old trout fishery. Lovely venue ONLY draw back it's in serious need of de-silting...over a foot deep in places...
    If the owners invested in a de-silt i guarantee it would be the top venue in uk...

    I'm 60 now, on Monday in fact, just got back into fishing in the last couple of years, so much has changed, I like pole fishing but can't fish a long pole me backs not what it used to be a d at the end of the day I'm into pleasure fishing now not torture fishing, don't get me wrong I can still hold me own on any venue, and to spite my age I still like to look good on the bank😂, just ordered one of them Preston suits that you're wearing, I say just, it hasn't arrived yet, to spite you're ability with the pole and match fishing in general, answere me a question, we're you totally dry after the match?

    Anglers spending thousands on gear, venue’s spending more on stocking and keeping quality fish, and the peg draw is done from an old Nescafé coffee tin(1:02). 😂😂

    So I've recently started a new job, clearing £4k-£5k a month. Yay I've won a medal!?!? All my life I've only fished with DTP's or Maver top end poles £3k+... Now I can easily afford a flagship Preston Superium (or what ever they're called) pole, will all my Maver top kits...30+ become obsolete? Or should I go for an MVR-XX? Good hunting Andy!!

    I know this entertainment for some and I am an angler but it would not interest me ,obviously a lot of skill to catch like that but. I’d much rather fish wild lakes which I am able to do as I now live in Canada
