    There is a VICE documentary where they show Ukraine using these to build boom stuff. Crazy times for 3D printing.
    This printer is very suitable for that environment, much more servicable than the K1 or P1P, and coming in at a great price.
    I guess it's like a modern-day Voxelab Aquila?

    I am not normally a fan of touch screens on pre built printers, however, this one I like! it's colourful and there are plenty of useful commands and not just the basics, there are loads of great benefits with this machine, you took the words out of my mouth when you said why isnt this everywhere, as you said there needs to be a Pro+ version of this printer and what a great alternative to the K1 a Pro+ version could be! I love that they did the clever thing and mounted the spool holder on the side I have seen quite a few reviews of this printer but I never considered buying one, why?

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  Рік тому +1

      Plus if you go klipper, the screen can be wired directly to a PI and use klipper screen. I’ve seen a howto. So there are lots of little benefits for sure. Crazy it didnt catch on. Ive been using it for a little over 3 weeks non stop and it’s been great.

      Amazon is a mess when it comes to measurements. just make sure it’s 7mm x 20/19mm. both will work in terms or length, but 6mm will not.

    Let me tell you, you will not get the bed out of level by removing prints.
    I am using the ghost 5 for 1 year and little and leveld it exactly once.
    I printed hundreds of flex dragon and removed a lot during the bed is hot, the device still works without any issues.

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  11 місяців тому

      I ended up just keeping the setup I showed in the video because it’s printing so well. however those ceramic hotends are great. I have a few and their length is the same. so the only thing you’d have to possibly do on the ghost is swap out the connectors for the heater and thermistor. Shouldn’t be too much trouble. I just don’t remember them off the top of my head honestly.

      @@3DPrintSOS Understand, the first 50 prints or so came out beautiful, no the filament just oozes out the hotend side of the nozzle no matter how many times I clean it or change nozzles......was just trying to find something a little more effecient

  • @Liberty4Ever
    @Liberty4Ever Рік тому +1

    I love a lot of the design choices this printer makes. PEI would be good but I print a lot of TPU on glass. It'd be great if it was a standard bed size with magnetic sheets so we could easily choose the print surface and be able to remove the print surface to extricate stuck parts without wrecking the bed leveling. It's weird that it's a core XY printer that isn't screaming print speed in its marketing and it seems very odd that with the features it has that they didn't use an all metal hot end and Klipper as standard for a few bucks more. The Ghost 6+ or 7 could be very nice. I love the easy maintenance and upgrades over this non-proprietary printer but I like Canbus to the print head to increase reliability with fewer cable connections while allowing more features on the print head. Adding filament run out to the print head adds only a couple of grams (probably offset by not having a heavy bundle of wires being flexed by the moving print head, and putting the filament run out on the print head would allow me to disconnect the reverse Bowden tube and feed TPU from a spool above or feed other filaments through the PTFE tube to the side mounted reel holder. Kudos for the side mounted reel holder. Putting the filament on the back is dumber than dirt.

      Make sure you are washing the plate with soap and water. Liquid dish soap or hand soap works great. Most people use alcohol or similar and that leaves a film and prints don't stick well to that.

      Size aside, is there anything that would make you recommend the Reborn 2?

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  5 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, the reborn has a 2 lead screw z axis instead of cantilever. Also, the Reborn is made from extrusions which means it is easier to work on and expand upon. The motion system is also more robust. The Ghost is great if you are limited by space, but the Reborn is superior if going head to head.@@lrochfort

    I went to the site and read this, “Automatically alarm and cut off the power supply if fire occurs inside due to the over time printing.
    The alarm is on the inside or outside of the machine, two versions, delivered randomly.” 😂 What good is it on the outside? Also the reviewer names look sus. But I’ll admit that if it does everything it claims in the poor English descriptions it does sound like a decent printer.
