    Be aware that for CB1 + PI4B..."The DSI/CSI port will only work while using CM4." as they saying on the website, so Raspberry Pi CM4 only for connecting display. Otherwise you'll need HDMI screen.

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  Рік тому +2

      I didnt know that! Thank you. I will pin this comment for those interested in adding a screen. Lot’s of HDMI screen options out there, even from BTT.

      @@3DPrintSOS It can be pain with HDMI + USB cables, and some adapters can be costly too. However there is a BTT Pi with SPI connector for more tight applications but there is no too many display options atm. I have all 3 btw, RPi, CB1+Pi4B and BTT Pi, but I would still suggest to go with Raspberry Pi (4b) + PiTFT5 display as prices are normalizing a bit. It is faster and everything is much more straight forward.

      I have a bunch of different Pi’s and some of the alternatives on hand as well. For me, BTT stuff is a no-brainer at the moment. They have great documentation, compatibility, and they integrate really well into a ton of products. I don't see them as a compromise at all. In fact, I think they’ve made a bunch of improvements over similar Pi’s. Plus, you dont have to hunt for them. ;)

      @NexGen-3D Рік тому +1

      This is also the case with other non RPI products like the MKS-PI and MKS-SKIPR, the onboard CSI connector at this point will only work with one specific display and is best used with a HDMI screen, this is the only major down point when using these alternative SOC Hosts, as the Pi DSI screens can be found much cheaper, but its great to have an alternative choice, I think the pads are a fantastic value, specially if you have few low cost machines in one area, you could run them all off one pad and a USB hub.

Anyway, without your explanation I probably wouldn't even try. Only thing really holding me back was not quite getting how it worked. Flash the printer, load the config to Klipper. Hi, I need some help with this Pad 7 Set Up! I got the web address for the site that let's you control and edit the running of the printer by the pad,
    But a problem the site address when typed in to the address box online makes it go to a google results page for the Pad 7 and BTT information not the needed access area for the klipper control?
    I got the address from the Aurora Tech video for the set up of the pad 7. But no matter what I do it does not let me go to it?
    Any idea's how to get around this? Thanks.

      Should be an easy fix. Copy and paste this into our Discord's Klipper section and one of us will gladly help. I think you just need to type the IP address the Pad is giving you. When it’s wrong, it just outputs a google search result.

      @@3DPrintSOS Hi there, No this is not a address given to me by the pad 7 it's self in set up. it is a address that Aurora Tech told us to use to start the set up of the web interface page the klipper firmware uses to let you control the printer! like when you had a web page you put up to control the printer for movements and temps etc. the address she said to log into online don't go there it goes to a google search list for BTT or pad 7.

      @@3DPrintSOS Hi Fedor, I have a update for you! I at last have the Pad 7 now. I had a hell of a time getting it. The parcel was sent from Germany in the EU to the UK. But the damn UK customs put a hold on it even though they cleared it quickly! The parcel of the Pad 7 was held until the customs import fee was paid by me to the post company whom pays for me to the UK customs any fee on the imported goods. Under a new UK importing fee law this year.
      I paid the fee which was a high one of £33 compared to the cost of the pad 7 of £109.00p
      So sadly I paid this so much for saving £50 by ordering direct from the BTT Company!
      But the parcel stayed in the local nearby post mail room they did not deliver it I chased up with them about it and they sent a email telling me that I it seems paid the Royal Mail and instead had to pay the Parcel side of the company which was unknown to me now a separate section from the main one called Parcel Force.
      So I had to pay them the money and the royal mail now have got around to paying back the money I gave them by mistake?
      The daft thing is the rules of the importing tax state that if the imported goods are under £135.00p you don't have to pay any importing fee!
      So they paid for the fee when it should have been no fee to be paid? I now have to chase up the HMRC ( our customs and tax Government lot to get them to pay back to me the fee of £33 that their own rule states I did not have to pay it due to the rules.
      Can you please do a clear new easy step by step how to guide video of how you download and set up all the files to do the PC and internet for the Pad 7.
      I know you just did this one but allot of the PC and the internet files and settings I think need a clear and full video as we newbies need that level of info as this is all totally new to non-klipper users. Thanks.
