The day started off lovely and I ended up like a drowned rat by evening, never been so wet even with waterproofs 😂🙏

First fish of the day was the only proper fish all day, you’d imagine the 16 fish after it, one of them would be a bigger one, but no 🙈😂

great fishing as usual Senan! when trolling with two rods, do you tend to bring in the other rod when you have fish on one? Also could you give a quick run through on one of the vids of how you mount your fish finder sensor etc?
I always just deal with the fish that is hooked first 🙂 I fish short lines, so it doesn’t take too long to get the fish in. I have the transducer already fixed on, but UA-cam “stern saver” it’s on Amazon, that’s what I used.

That first trout was fab. Did I hear you say you only have your lure approx 50 yards behind the boat? Would it be different for pike?
I mix up the distances depending if I’m getting hits or not, I change things constantly when I’m out, the second things go quiet, I adjust the speed,distance or lure colour 🫡

Great fishing as always Senan. Would you ever mount a trolling motor to the front of the boat? I reckon Wildhunter should give you one cos when I win that draw for the Minn Kota I’ll need to know how to fit it to a lake boat 😂
Was going to put one on the boat this year, but as I could be changing boat before the end of the year, there’s no real need. ☺️👍 I fish between this boat and Paul’s a lot, so having access to one is great, they are a great bit of kit. 😀 they do look fantastic on lake boats ;)
get yourself some of the savage gear zerlings that are for sea-trouters like me, my mate POV orkney fishing found out something pretty mad with them, have a look at him mate! you'll be straight onto the line thrus

Great fishing video. I troll on lough Mask but rarely those kind of numbers. Picture and sound quality is really good too, what camera are you using?
Another great video. I just wondered do you never use a spinner out on the boat. Or the lures get a better fish you think.
Spinners definitely work best in a current ☺️ for me, small jerkbaits and wobblers get the best reactions on the large Loughs, aswel as lures like lane minnow or Tassie devil
Lovely fishing Senan. If your wet gear let in, invest in a set of Musto Br2 ocean or offshore wets. Very pricy but well worth it. I got mine in Musto Kildare village outlet, good discount price. The rnli lads use that gear, when not in drysuits, your local crew in the harbour can give you a brief on them. I use snugpak elite/ex brit army softee trousers and jackets under them.
You’d expect a brand new €350 BKK jacket to hold out the rain for longer 😀 ya for sure I need to pick up some Goretex , seems to be the only solid option , everything else lets in the moisture eventually 😀

Brillant fishing Senan, savage numbers👏 i fished a lake recently thats known for trout and id zero luck mostly while trolling! Do you troll a bit faster when targeting trout? When im targeting pike i never use any trottle and i catch them normally.
The trolling can get quite boring so I prefer to catch them spinning. ☺️ ya you need to go quite fast to get them to strike sometimes 🙂

I go quite fast, too fast some might say. 🙂 but it works.

They don’t unfortunately, they are a cool looking fish though.

Finding them all over the place in spring, I stay out of the shallows purposely, I don’t want to hook pike while they are spawning 👌
