This male patient is from USA. He had a high voice pitch since his childhood. Having problems in social and work life forced him to seek for voice deepening surgery. His surgery was performed under local anesthesia and lasted about 30 to 45 minutes.
During surgery he was able to listen the change in voice frequency and the procedure was terminated when he was certain that the tone is what he wanted.
In voice deepening surgery, patients are able to hear the change in their voices and talk to their surgeons. Pain is not expected following the procedure and usually patients are discharged within the same day. Change in voice is permanent.

To me, I think it doesn't matter if I sound like a male or a female all I want is my voice to be pleasing enough to listen.
I think it's a lot easier that way (from deep to high) than the opposite. A lot of trans people (men to women) exercise this and go to voice couches, to train how to use your voice in a different way

No making your voice deeper will lower your pitch

Why can't you be proud of your voice? It's what makes you stand out. If everyone had the same sound it would be boring and so out of place.
Because human nature. People naturally and subconsciously see a deep and masculine voice as more demanding, authoritative and attractive. It’s just the way we are and that’s why these men get the voice deepening surgery.

I want my voice to be made deeper because I have a very child like voice which doesn't sound right with the rest of my body. I don't like speaking with people I don't know and I'm treated a less of a man in this voice.
