Yea that’s very true Drakewarden would be another great pet class! I did consider World Tree a bit but decided against it without the pet included in the build. With the Clawfoot pet though it would make for a really interesting combo!
Interesting build. If you get a nice dm the Tasha's sidekick warrior would be really good for the clawfoot unfortunately it's CR 1 so not actually available, but an Ambush drake would work just as well and is only CR 1/2 so is.
That is a good point I did not even consider a DM maybe letting us use a Sidekick, that would be a neat way to play it! Otherwise yes there are probably a few lower CR beasts that could work as a pet for us to flavour as our Clawfoot mount.

Drakewarden Ranger is a great fit. Especially with Spell points & Multiclass into Barbarian, particularly World tree Barbarian.

Multiclassers like this can grab two epic boons if ASIs are timed right

ok. Found it in Eberron Rising from the Last War. It didn't stick out to me because there were no subrace mechanics tied to it.
