That was an amazing acoustic performance!
I would like to see you guys cover something from Tuatha de Danann, my favorit folk band.
Cheers!
Hehe Cheguei aqui!
Beautiful job fellas 👍
You know... listening to this it's hard to believe you do metal songs and screamo voice like in "Poker Face" you look so sweet and innocent. I love the metal music, I really really do, but this fits how sweet and beautiful you look more than the metal. Keep up the amazing beautiful and EPIC work sweetheart. You've got a fan for as long as you sing and create this amazing thing we call music
Love them both.
As a Scotsman myself this was insanely beautiful, hard to sit through this song and not get a tear in your eye
🐉🔥🐉🔥🐉❤️ I so agree 💚
I was about to say the same thing .
I'm not Scottish, but i know what you mean.
If i close my eyes, i find myself walking in the hills of highlands, and i too get watery eyes from this.
That s right, I have tears in my eyes, it goes to heart.
same here from an Irish Woman... listened with eyes opened then again with eyes closed.. stunningly beautiful
As a Scotsman, I definitely approve of this. 🏴❤️🇧🇷
I also.❤
I approve it also,, and I`m not a Scotsman. wonderful song. So much emotions in every tone and word. Love it so much, cry my heart out. And this Young Man sings it with so much .... have no words .. he sings with his whole being so much feelings, and that acapella is just "drop-dead-good". The acoustic guitar is fantastic. LOVE IT. Thank s to both of You guys for this wonderful song. 💜👏🙌
Is there ANYTHING this man cannot sing??? Beautiful rendition guys!
Probably not ❤
No. He’s too amazing!
5 Years later... and I only discover this song now?? Dan that was perfection. Outside was great, so relaxed yet you had my full attention. Just awesome! I só much love all your music❤
There is no end to this mans talent. Wow!!!
According to Celtic legend if someone dies in a foreign land, his spirit will travel to his homeland by "the low road" - the route for the souls of the dead. In the song, the spirit of the dead soldier shall arrive first, while the living soldier will take the "high road" over the mountains, to arrive afterwards.
Thank you for this knowledge
This song means a thousandfold more now. Thank you 💚
@@ronstewart5945 You're very welcome.
As an old, Irish lass, this brings tears to my eyes every time. I love Dan and his songs and his voice, everything about him.
Would love to hear you do "How Great Thou Art!"
There were no imperfections it was perfect !
🏴🏴 as a Scotsman, that was awesome, good to hear the right words sung as well, fantastic team Dan and Spyglass 🏴🏴
Wow! Who would have guessed that a Brazilian artist could sing such a classic Scottish ballad. Beautiful.
You don't make any mistakes. Such a beautiful song. Gave me chills.
The most beautiful voice I have ever hear. What a great gift from God himself. Absolutely stunning and perfect.
There is something just so “solid” about Dan’s voice. I just love his music!
yup this man can sing anything really really well! and gabriel was really good on the parts he sang and the guitar
I was born in 1948 and I’ve always been obsessed with Greensleeves which is a Medieval song written by Henry XIII king of England. It also is used as the tune for the Carol, What Child Is This. It’s hauntingly beautiful and I cannot think of a better voice than yours to attack this. Lol. Your music always attacks my soul. Thank you for helping us all feel alive and young again.
Dear Joan, thank you very much for the suggestion - a beautiful song, I love too.
And beyond that, I completely agree with you that Dan Vasc can interpret this like no other.
Many kind regards
Christiane from Munich/Germany
I think I would love to hear him sing Greensleeves
@@user-ii7ky3hj9q actually I would listen to him sing the phone book!! lol but I love those medieval songs/ hymns.
I'm Scots, Irish and Cherokee. Sang this to my children as a lullaby when they were little.
Me too.
My family is like United Nations, I have Scots and Cherokee amongst others in my ancestors. I learnt this song at school. Dan has such an amazing voice. He sings over a wide range of genres.
The Great American Myth: "I'm part Cherokee." Unless you have the paperwork for it, or photos at least, it's a family myth that probably arose in the 1960s.
More spoil-sportage - based on American history - ahead...
If your Irish ancestor left N. Ireland for America in the early 1600s, as many did, he was most likely a wee Scot.
@@patricianunes3521
That is sometimes true. Other times there is such evidence of ancestry.
"Scottish" please
I wish Dan and Gabriel would pick up this project again. It seems like they just made a couple of videos and stopped. I’d love to hear Danny Boy, and Shenandoah.
Danny Boy would be an amazing song choice for them
His amazing voice is proof Angels walk among us
Awesomely Beautiful, yes, brought tears to my eyes. Thank you thank you again for this song.
WOW...
Dan, this was the last song I ever sang for my twin brother after he passed away. My heart broke that day irreparably so, every time I hear this song, that pain, and remembrance comes back just as strong as the day it happened. I doubt I'll ever heal, but I will remember the light, the love, and the friendship he brought to this world. Your version has tears streaming from my eyes because you sang his favorite song just the way he loved it.
For this, thank you, thank you so much, the memories live stronger than ever. You truly are a treasure to this world and I hope you a long and happy life.
Respectfully - A fan.
💪💖👏👍😎
Rasta - My condolences. Grief the loss of your brother, take your time and do it on your own terms.
It is possible to heal if you allow yourself to heal. I wish you as the days goes by, whenever you hear this song, instead of it causes you pain and tears of sadness, it brings from the deep of your heart ❤️, your mind and soul, a smile to your face and tears of joy of good remembrance of your brother.
😭
Rasta, love, he's not gone, he's right beside you to this day. I just believe that. Your love keeps his memory alive, and if you are remembered, you are alive. ((hugs)).
Lovely
Dan, all you need is a kilt, your "don't tread on me" T-shirt, and black work boots and BOOM! You're a Brazilian Scot! Absolutely love you!❤
Maybe skip the Gadsden flag bit...
😊
If I can like this song a million times I would 💗💗
There were no mistakes in this beautiful Scottish ballad and the outdoor scenery lent even more authenticity to the theme. Your gorgeous voice and Gabriel's perfect accompaniment made it into a jewel that I will want to enjoy again and again. Thank you for your efforts to constantly surpass all expectations!
Beautiful.... inside and out 💕 He lets the songs sound again ♥️
Please grace us with more Scottish or Irish music!
ABSOLUTELY HEARTFELT!! ♥️ Dan Vasc really gets into character of every song he sings. He sings with true passion. ~ This is just one of my favorite songs he sings. AMAZING!!
So happy I have discovered Dan Vasc's music. Now I listen to his music while driving every single day. Truly my favorite vocalist.
Hauntingly beautiful, lovely guitar work and scenery, thank you for uplifting music. Love the mouth organ touch also.
I hope Spyglass Inn will be able to continue to produce more acoustic songs. They are perfect for those times one needs to step back and slow the nerves to chill. Besides this song is so beautiful and evocative. I know anything you two would do would produce the same feelings.
GOD HAS BLESSED YOU IN SO MANY WAYS,❤❤THANK YOU FOR SHARING DAN.
A song that is close to most Scots heart. As a proud scot i can say this was beautifully done.
Your rendition of Amazing Grace demonstrates the incredible vocal range and power of your voice. It would be wonderful to hear you apply similar techniques to the Hymn ‘How Great Thou Art’ I believe it would be a smash hit. Thanks for the music!!
I totally agree!! That would be amazing. I told my son that I want Dan's version of Amazing Grace played at my funeral; if he does How Great Thou Art I will want that played as well!
Same here 😊🤗💕🎉
Beautiful 🏴🇺🇸
Felt a connection to my ancestors with this one! ❤
Stunning! You and Gabriel blend your voices so beautifully. Much success. 😊
I can't stop listening to this song,it has true meaning to my Irish soul.
My grandson and I have listened to your music all his short 11 months. He has had a common cold lately and as babies do wanted comfort. Everytime this song comes up he immediately turns to the tv and watches intently. It is the sweetest thing. He finds comfort in this video. Ty for singing and soothing us.
This is so precious
I pray he gets well very soon 🌹
Thank you for covering such a beautiful Scottish song, I had tears in my eyes.
Love this song ... Dan and Gabriel's voices blend beautifully ⚘️
So beautiful! Can't wait to hear more from Spyglass Inn. Filming it outside was a stroke of genius!❤
This is crazy. I woke up at 3AM having this song playing in my head. Thank you for having itt available on Utube
Dear god that was beautiful guys.
Thank you. ❤️‼️
The bible talks about King David being a ruddy, good looking man but I can't imagine anyone any better looking than this guy. He is the meaning of gorgeous. Good job God!!! Dan? David? I'll have to wait until I get to heaven to cast a true vote.
Listening from Bonnie Scotland with a full heart. Your music touches my soul. What a gift you are to this world. Music is language of God and your beautiful voice ensures a perfect delivery. Thank you for all the beautiful music. 🙏🏼🏴💙 it’s appreciated by millions all over the world. ♥️
This is lovely. You should do more of these. Sometimes acoustic is exactly what the heart needs.
Thank you so much for that Song! 🙏❤️
Truly beautiful, the only thing that could have made it better is to see Dan in a kilt.
😊for sure
Again your incredible ability to adapt your voice to reflect this song is astounding…love it❤
Extremely moving, truly beautiful, Dan! ❤
I could listen to you sing all day long. Your voice is so rich and smooth. You’ve truly mastered the art of singing! Beautiful!!!!🎼❤️
What a beautiful duet with the two of you singing together!! I love it!! You blend in well together!! Thank you!! God bless you guys!!
BEAUTIFUL! A lovely duet with Gabriel! Thank you for including the lyrics! Bonnie well done!
That was so beautiful. I love your Spyglass Inn songs! Please do more. I would love to hear you do "oh Danny boy"! I really enjoy you and Gabriel together. Also, doing the song outside was very cool. More acoustic songs please! Your voice is insane. It's so beautiful. Much love from Rhode Island, Terry 🙏❤️💯🎙
This is Grandma from Texas. LOVELY. One of my favorites. Thank you for this.
Scotsman here. This song speeds up at the end, and is used as a 'Go home now' signal at parties and events. Awesome version, you didn't just do it justice, you done it right.
shush jim
@@heartcaptorkitten705 He was complimenting them. Is that not allowed?
@@BuinidhMoChridheDoAlba It did not sound like a complement, at least for non-native speakers of English. And for us, rather than what it is "used" for, it is the feeling in it that touches our heart, so we don't need the speed up. But of course, we are not Scottish 😊
I thought Champagne Supernova was your guys "fuck off, bars closed" song.
No that is not correct. This is the classical Loch lomond, runrigs reworking of the song speeds up and is used as a go home now they are 2 different songs that just share choruses
Most singer only sing one way but you or able to sing all songs that makes you the greatest singer of all times
I'm sure you've considered "Danny Boy".
This was stunning! The harmonies were amazing and I love LOVE the harmonica! You did a beautiful job filming outside. It was the perfect setting for this song. You and Gabriel sound phenomenal together!❤❤❤
A long time favorite of mine. My deceased husband's favorite. Made my cry but it was beautiful tears i shed. Thank you
There are so many of your songs that are Epic, but this one shows another side to you that is very endearing! Thank you for branching out into a difficult genre. Your Dad is watching over you and must be bursting with joy and pride for your success and for all you are doing for your family! Blessings and continued success from all your hard work! 🤗🙏🏻🎶🧔🏻♀️🫡🫶🏻
OUTSTANDING! A bonnie duet with Gabriel! Thank you for including the lyrics. BRAVISSIMO! IT IS THE NEXT DAY! A BEAUTIFUL DUET WITH GABRIEL!

I'm always amazed when I listen to you sing or even talk. You're voice is incredibly inspiring. Thank you for being here at this time when you are needed. May God bless you.😅
Dan, as a Scotsman all I can say is "truly amazing cover". Welcome to Scotland if you ever feel like visiting.
Kept simple, but beautiful.
Your singing went deep into my heart and I had goosebumps all over my body.
Big compliments to the two Performers
I know you are considered heavy metal but you sine extra on these beautiful songs..... Amazing grace , sounds of silence..... Beautiful
Omg, this came on without me seeing it and I KNEW IMMEDIATELY IT WAS DAN. I believe that voice could rise me from a coma❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Me 2
Oh, please do The mist-covered mountains or the Skye Boat song, or Flowers of the forest. All beautiful Scottish songs.
I’m breathless
My family migrated to the U.S many years ago. This has always been one of my favorites. Thank you
6-17-2023, I recently came across your music. I am loving this. I love your voice!
I signed so the wife could tell you how much she loves your version of this song! Now we both listen and watch! Thanks Dan!
You should do more acoustics. As far as outdoor filming. For a first time, it was pretty good. Hope you consider getting back to this project.
Alright. You made me cry. Good job
This song is beautiful. First screaming with you in Lost in Paradise for the pain to stop and then be still listening to this song did so much for my soul. Your voice brings comfort and calm. Thanks Dan❤RSA
Anything acoustic would be wonderful
My father's favorite song...absolutely beautiful! And the harmonica!
VERY EMOTIONAL! A bonnie duet with Gabriel. I hope you get to travel to Scotland. It is a beautiful country, especially in northen Scotland. BRAVO!
I love your ballad of Lock Lomand. If you love those Irish and Scottish ballads, I think it would be nice to look into some of those indigenous ballads sung by our late Sined O’Connor, in her honor! You will be fantastic singing those ballads!
Verry beautiful song and vidio, very enjoyed this .I am an Irish .❤❤❤
Thank you for your response.🤟😍🍀💯
You and Gabriel harmonize so well, it was beautiful ❤
Totaly agree 😊
Dan, as a Scotslass, I’m listening with tears in my eyes. As always, you have done an incredible cover. Thank You ❤❤
Dan your voice is so soothing thank you for such a wide variety of music and songs with your voice it is absolutely God-given beauty it is so peaceful thank you for allowing us to hear your voice
You two sound great together. More please😊
12/16. BONNY WELL DONE, DAN! WHAT A WONDERFUL DUET. THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING THE LYRICS. THANK YOU!
As an exiled Scott living in New Zealand for 35 years I absolutely love this as I do all your songs. But this really tugs my heart strings.
As a scotsman i found this version out of the world, u did this song out of this world❤
Für mich ist dies eine der schönsten Aufnahmen dieses wunderbaren Liedes, die bisher gehört habe! Unglaublich berührend. Man fühlt alles.
I love Celtic music. And you did this beautiful song so well. I'm pure Celtic, 98% Irish, the rest Scottish , and American born.
My favorite - my Father used to sing me this song. Well done!
This song is very special to me as my mother would sing it all the time to my sisters, myself and cousins. Even though we are in the USA our ancestral line on my mothers side shows we are ancestors of all the kings and queens of Scotland and Robert the Bruce. Thank you for a beautiful rendition of the song. You have an amazing voice, you remind me so much of my son Joseph who passed away in 2021. He actually said he had played some games with you and he introduced me to your music. Your family must be extremely proud of you, I know I would be. Take care wishing you all the success in the world. Mary Consorti
Love the songs that spyglass inn have played, but it is already 4 years ago..don't you go on with your project..it sounds soo good
I hope you read this.. thanks both of you for this very beautiful song ❤
Such a sad song sung brilliantly. About two prisoners one being set free and one being put to death. Low road being death. ❤❤
I have some Irish and Scottish ancestry so this song is doubly special to me. It brought tears to my eyes because it's so beautiful. Absolutely amazing, Dan! ❤
Look up Gordon Lightfoot. A Canadian folk singer. All his songs are great and tell a story. The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald is a famous one. He's passed now.
I heard this song recently and thought it would be a great song for them.
😢 Heartbreakingly beautiful. My dad would sing this to me as a kid. Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing such a wonderful job.
Your voice is a miracle ❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
I comment so much on Dan's videos. This is so beautiful.
