Please. That fool and his Jimmy should have their license taken away for not knowing how to drive.

DO NOT DO THIS! As a trauma EMT, the NUMBER ONE RULE is NOT to move accident victims until full assessment. And even then, only with a c-collar and board as some injuries may not be apparent at first, even if the patients think different. Good idea on the surface, yeah, but doing this could and HAS killed people, paralyzed them or made it worse by moving them around. This should be a WARNING unless news makes it clear the occupants were not seriously injured. But even then, any sane first responder would stabilize, ship and let the ER doc confirm all is okay.

Um, didn’t the video say they asked him first if he was ok?
Or are you explaining this comment for a general reference? Sorry if I missed something

Whatever type of suv that was needs to be examined for safety hazards, it should never have flipped on its side with the speed of the impact

Maybe they should have waited for the fire department and ambulance.

Damn right they should have. #1 trauma rule: do NOT move accident victims until after full assessment. Which an ER doc has to do as many report being "fine" yet are walking around with a neck fracture poised to paralyze them for life. This should be warning report of what NOT to do but since it looks so cool, the hell with reality and now anyone seeing it could risk killing someone else if they repeated it. Only exception is if sudden death imminent such as a vehicle fire.
Here I suspect the news is milking it for sensationalism. All the above holds true regardless but imagine if two buff dudes just climbed out okay. Sort of kills the fake glamor.

@@CoalCreekCroft exactly pending fire hazard. Hope the person is alright and didn't suffer anymore injuries as a result of additional movement.

@@ZarifaMEl-lf3zr I suspect: People were okay, expressed it. Imagine the drama drop if a couple buff dudes just hopped out. Odd they don't mention them as if it was a child, etc., that would be jammed in the headline.
I applaud people stepping up ... insert that "but". And most the cringe comes from my very first patient. High school football game; knee injury, ZERO complaint of any other injury. Had a dang HELMET on, too so I dispensed with the c-collar. I bring in my first patient to the same ER I'm working at, feeling pretty good ... I'm off the desk and doing something! Then NEVER FORGET the angry frown from a doc I respected as he asked where the collar was and then gave me a lecture. Mainly that people can walk around with neck fractures w/o knowing.
