Did you let the modge podge dry? Would PVA also work?

Yes, we did wait for it to dry! As long as you let it dry before pouring the resin, any glue should work. We just picked Mod Podge because we knew it would dry clear over the photos.

what is the point of the mod podge? I’ve put resin straight over photos with nothing on them and it has worked fine, but if the mod podge has any added Benefits maybe I’ll start using it :)

It just a protective step we take to add a layer over the photos so no bleeding occurs!

Would a fiberglass tray be okay? Or would it melt or something?

We haven't done much testing on this but we don't think that the exotherm would get hot enough to melt the fiberglass!

Besides a tray; what else can I put the photos in?

Anything you'd like! Whatever you come up with there is a possibility.

Why do photos turn blue or the colours run?

It's just based on the photos you use and the type of paper they're printed on. That's why we use a layer of Mod Podge to "seal" the photos prior to casting.

    What about TV trays?

Can you paint the tray first?

Absolutely! You'll want to make sure that the paint is completely dry before adding your epoxy!
