”Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.“
    ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬
    Bless you, Dr. Brown!

Great episode. It is mind boggling to me so many people are giving you grief because you called out this double standard. I know you dont see the comments on your videos but there have been multiple individuals who cannot grasp the point you are making. They keep clinging to the idea that these reformers were products of their time and ignoring that everyone is a product of their time. They ignored that the Bible calls us to holiness regardless of what the world says is correct.
Those who constantly attack charasmatics but give a pass to their heroes are doing exactly what Jesus said not to do in Matthew. They focus on the speck in their brothers eye and ignore the beam in their own.

I would say yes, but you can't stay that way. It's a journey and we all stumble in many ways. I was born again over 30 years ago. I was a drug addict, violent, lustful prideful and more. It has taken all these years to surrender my life to Him and be changed by Him and like the rest of us I'm still a work in process.

Thank you Dr Brown for speaking out concerning the hypocrisy going on within the Calvinist Camp. My personal opinion is that the reason the Cessationist Critics act in the way they do towards Charismatics yet give passes to Calvinist that were racist (that you pointed out) is due to the blindness by the teachings they hold to.

@@kimberlylebrun2934 double standard and hypocrite. Millions of Christians dying of hunger around the world and this man is criticizing other for having private jets while he only has three houses. He'll be judge for this by the Almighty.

There were always those who hated slavery in America. Even before our Revolution, there were those calling for an end to slavery and forming abolition movements. So the “product of their times” excuse does not hold water.

Respectfully Dr brown, when you say you've spent the time focusing on the problems of your camp rather than the reformed camp, yet you say you haven't watched sid Roths prograns or Copeland sermons. These two statements are seemingly at odds with eachother

Both camps have alot to learn from one another, in my opinion. (Raised CRC on leadership at a Pentacotal church)

Yeah that’s what I thought too.I want leaders to use equal weights too. But you don’t get a pass if you don’t even measure or weigh anything cuz you don’t feel called to it and yet make statements like that. We really should allow the reckoning happen of allowing the Holy Spirit to sift all the false people and correct all the false things being taught. I think something is happening but if each side just intimately studies the other side, hops on UA-cam for 50 mins (or four hours in the American Gospel video the one without Brown) and only talk and study about the other but then each side says “well I’m not called to look deeper on the people on my camp” then where are we at? I honestly have no dog in either fight, I just watch Brown and watch reformed videos for my knowledge and edification then I see both camps doing this stuff without giving any ground or giving any alternatives or giving any path forward. If they agree on a researched publicized long form discussion either with the accused or without, that would be great. Accountability in the BODY of believers, not just one piece of the arm telling the leg they are false and leg saying the arm is false but neither evaluating itself…
Sorry long post. I just want the body to be prepared and ready for the actually enemy as we enter the last days and the faith of many is growing cold and people are turning to wherever their itching ears want to take them.
      :(
All for the Lords glory and I pray for us all.

It simply sounds like you haven’t listened to the video. He has written books on critiquing others in his camp. There are thousands of charismatic leaders and his main ministry focus is not calling them out. It’s completely unfair to make a comment like this when he has addressed it over and over again in his videos.

    • @thevoiceoftheteacher3581

Guess they aren’t part of his camp!

    • @ericedwards5034

Respectfully, two things can be true at once. Dr. Brown has written several books critical of the Charismatic camp (I have two of them myself), so he has been publicly outspoken about abuses and poor practices in his "camp." But it is not his job to sit and watch Sid Roth videos or Kenneth Copeland sermons so that he can specifically criticize them to the level that OTHERS would find acceptable! It's almost a if Dr. Brown doesn't have a ministry, doesn't do any evangelism overseas, isn't an author, and doesn't host a daily podcast/radio show! I guess in your mind he should just sit around being a "discernment ministry" like Justin Peters, Protestia, Chris Rosebrough, and others.
And the fact remains that too many in the cessationist and/or Reformed "camp" are totally unwilling to address issues among their peers. That is why people will continue to extol R.L. Dabney as a great theologian, pretending that "the times" are an excuse for the anti-Semitism of Luther, the state/church sanctioned executions under Calvin in Geneva, or the defense and practice of slavery by Johnathan Edwards. Maybe it's time to look at that beam in your own eyes before poking around in someone else's eyes to get that speck.

My respect and honor to Dr Brown, but I can say this Christians do hate, and lie and most have some type of racism against others. We condemned fast and we tried to crucify each other. Thank God there's no respect of person and that He doesn't repay us according to our sins.

The mere ideology of color coding; (white/black) is racist in itself! It is God who defines a man's nationality; color coding is not a nationality! No man can ever live up to what "white" represents, and No man should live being defined by the term of "black"! As belonging to Christ, we have to walk in the truth. I personally defect from addressing anyone by a color term; only by their nationality. We have to be wise of evil devices. Loving Christ requires a shedding of skin; especially in America! Period.

Why is it that the divorce rate was lower among african americans in the early 1900s and fatherlessness less pervasive than it is today? Is America more racist today than then? Perhaps the Government actively subsidizes single mothers and makes it fiscally more difficult for marriages to last, coupled with a culture that has absolutely rejected Jesus' teaching on divorce. Jewish people also sufferee horrendous persecution in Europe and the US, yet many Jewish people thrive. The diffrence is purely cultural, as much of modern ghetto culture is derived from the scotch english border lands and pervaded the south which was then transferred into modern elements.

This narrative front loads an assertion. Fatherlessness is a disaster. It’s also not causing the economic situation in this country among black or anyone else. The American worker hasn’t gotten a raise since the 70s. Until that’s fixed it’s not even realistic to ask we have biblical families.
Women had no rights in the early 1900s. Women had no rights until around the mid 70s. The welfare state has existed since FDR we didn’t see the fatherless mess until women actually had options. Jews got and get reparations. They did not and do not deal with the same unequal policing and sentencing or employment or loan discrimination as black people.

@@iAintSayDat@iAintSayDat That is statistically false. The poverty rate among families in fatherless homes is roughly three to four times greater than in homes with a father (US Census Bureau). 90% of homless and runaway children come from fatherless homes. 63% of youth suicide is from fatherless homes. 80% of rapists with displaced anger come from fatherless homes.
Do you think its harder to have a biblical home today than when Nero, who used Christians as torches, was emperor? Choosing to reject God's way is way harder than following him

    • @iAintSayDat
      @iAintSayDat 7 місяців тому

@@mattcahoe8311 The poverty line isn't even 40 grand, it's an outdated stat you can't take care of a full family on 40 grand. I didn't say fatherless homes don't produce more people living below the poverty line I said its not causing black people or anyone else's economic issue. We used to be for actual prosperous homes, that used to be the American dream and now were down to just be above the poverty line.
Why don't we care what the Bible says about treating your neighbor like yourself? Would corporations have themselves living like 70 percent of the country living paycheck to paycheck? Big companies are all about their top shareholders and not the common man which I think violates Proverbs 22:16
When I say biblical homes I mean one man works and the mom stays home with kids. Persecution wasn't what that was about.
