there's a pasta sauce brand in Australia called Leggos. Whenever I hear Australians say Legos I ask them do they mean pasta sauce. The plural of LEGO is LEGO and I'm a LEGO historian so I enjoy responding to people and implying without them realising that they're wrong. first

#BAT Have you ever heard of The Construction Company building toys? They were like Lego except you had to connect the pieces using a screwdriver. They were strange and I think very short-lived.

Is there a Danish noun equivalent to the two Danish words, that is, verbs, “leg godt” meaning “play well”? LEGO, and The LEGO Group, is an abbreviation of those two Danish verbs.
We get Legos when “LEGO” and “blocks” or “bricks” or “pieces” are smashed together and that’s likely the easiest English linguistic explanation.
P.S. I do not have a PhD in linguistics.
