Sepsis is an incredibly dangerous life threatening condition!!! 😱 I’m so thankful you are here with us today Chris I seriously can’t imagine the world without you in it. I love you so very much 🥰❤❤❤
Listening to his symptoms, he sounds like he has ulcers. That’s the same thing I went through. Nobody knew why my stomach was hurting so bad, I had to go to6 different doctors before they diagnosed me with Ulcerative Colitis. I’m hoping it’s nothing serious but that’s what I gathered from listening.

*As soon as Chris started his story I was screeeaaminggg "SEPSIS!" So glad he is okay...people DIE from that all the time, or if not may even lose limbs, etc. I highly recommend Chris continues to follow up with his doctors for the next several months to be 100% it is all gone!*
Same…I FLEW to the comments once he began to describe his vitals! But then I told myself, just wait…maybe he’ll say he had sepsis. Bless his heart. That crap is awful. I’ve had it twice as a result of from kidney infections and an autoimmune disease.
Also to find out what led to getting the sepsis. Sepsis happens when an infection you already have triggers a chain reaction throughout your body. Clearly he’s had some undiagnosed infection for awhile prior. Scary stuff!!!

My mother-in-law is fully paralyzed from the neck down, the eye tracking will be life changing for her if you can make selections without using hands! I could cry tears of joy over the independence that would give her.
There is more than likely glasses or some other technology available but I’m not sure of the price. That’s what Steven Hawking used were special eye tracking glasses.
Praying for Chris!! My brother passed away at 27 from Septic shock 😢 the ER didnt know what was wrong with him either and he had a seizure and they pumped him with seizure medication and it shut his heart down!! Sepsis kills alot of people!!! Glad Chris is feeling a little better!!
Sepsis killed my ex husband last month. It seems to me that Sepsis is VERY HIGH ON THE RISE since the Covid vaccine. I know of 3 healthy men who have contracted sepsis in just the past 2 months. That’s not normal!
A few years ago, my godfather went to the hospital during a cardiac episode, and ended up losing his leg because he had a severe allergic reaction to the pain medication he was receiving, and the staff didn’t catch it. They just kept giving him more pain medication which exacerbated the problem until finally my mom (critical care cardiologist for over 2 decades) noticed the _huge_ rash on his back. Plus he was profusely sweating and in extreme pain. None of the nurses knew what was going on until my mom pulled them into the room and was like “HEY! LOOK AT HIM!” I’m tearing up just thinking about that day. This is why you absolutely have to advocate for yourself and your loved ones. Keep a close eye on your loved ones when they’re in the hospital, ask questions, and stay vigilant. Don’t let them gaslight you when you know something’s wrong. ❤
Thank you for making my days brighter ❤ currently 28 weeks pregnant and struggling with my mental health, so every time I see a video it really does boost me 1000 happy points

Everytime I watch these podcasts I can’t believe how well thought out they are. You can tell they really put in the work for planning. I watch a lot of podcasts and hands down this is the BEST one out there
Dude omg sepsis is soooo serious. It's an infection that gets bad enough it's in your blood stream. My grandma died from a couple rounds of sepsis from an unchecked and untreated UTI. You're sooooo lucky Chris. Glad you're ok!! Never dismiss yourself.
@@alyssastaley2918 oh my gosh, I am so sorry, that's so scary! Did you feel that you had a UTI? How long do you think did it go untreated for? I am glad you are ok!
Chris - keep fighting for your health! As a nurse with a critical care background, you need to advocate for yourself because a lot of times, things unfortunately get overlooked. When you were describing your symptoms before you told us your diagnosis, I knew you were septic. If the antibiotics don't help and/or you get ill again, I recommend seeing an oncologist. I really am not trying to scare you, but it wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion from a different set of eyes from a different profession. I hope that you get better and find answers before having to do that - I'm just speaking from experience. Take care! 💛
I used to walk about 50 000 steps a day. Messed my knees up pretty badly. It took almost 2 years of PT and an operation. I keep my steps to 7000 these days. No more. I can't go through that again. Walking becomes addictive very quickly.

I get really bad anxiety during long drives sometimes, and had to drive almost 100 miles this afternoon to get home. This podcast dropping today kept me laughing the entire time. Your content is out here saving lives (and preventing panic attacks which I’m sure those ER nurses appreciate, lol). Now I’m watching at home to see what I missed with just the audio. Thanks for the laughs guys, I know I’m not the only one using the pod as supplemental therapy 🤣❤

Thank you Chris for talking about your hospital situation. My husband literally went through the same thing. He went septic too (I complained to the hospital about it because his was caused by a mix of medications the doctors didn't take into account). Glad you're better. Hope it heals soon
Chris, I am so thankful you are still here. My aunt went septic and she ended up passing away, and it was quick and fast… I am so thankful that you are here and doing somewhat better, you got this, thank you for going to the hospital when you felt like something was wrong❤️
I'm so glad Chris is ok, I unfortunately lost my best friend to sepsis 5 years ago, it was the worst point in my life. She was only 23 😢 and at the time I never knew what sepsis or didn't really understand it and now I feel like I hear about it all the time. I'm glad he's well ❤
Im so glad chris is ok!! My mom almost passed away from sepsis several times and its incredibly serious and scary! she has been struggling with health issues for a long time, it can be life changing im glad everything is ok now! Love all you guys ❤
I'm so glad Chris is OK. I hope they find out what caused it and they're able to resolve it soon. Chronic illness sucks. Chris, make sure you go to all your follow up appointments and apply for Medicaid if you can't afford insurance. Your health is the most important thing in life.
Yes! I kept hoping for him to mentioned he had a colonoscopy done, he could have Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative Colitis or even cancer (hopefully none of them) but still better safe than sorry.
It’s fay-go-fobia 😂😂!! I almost died from sepsis! My WBC count was 38,000! I was in the hospital for over 2 weeks. I have permanent kidney damage. I’m so glad Chris is ok!
Hey Chris- PLEASE get more I formation regarding your illness. Sepsis happens when an infection you already have triggers a chain reaction throughout your body. So you had some kind of infection previously and because they didn’t figure out what it was to treat it, your body likely went into sepsis. That is not a place you want to exist in. Push them for answers. We don’t want you to go through this again. So grateful you’re feeling better and it’s great to see your smiling face! 💜💜💜
👩🌾 👩🌾- okay so your all my anxiety relief and I get killer morning weekday anxiety so although I’m WATCHING now, just know that I also LISTEN throughout the whole week, literally will watch and listen to your podcasts over and over because it brings me peace and good vibes 👏🏽✌🏽😂
The fashion update this episode absolutely hit it outta the park for everyone! Chris being septic and looking that good is downright criminal. That shirt matching with the headphones just makes his eyes pop! So glad you and Spencer are doing alright!❤ ❤❤
Septic shock is what put my dad in the hospital for several months and then a rehab place, and then his immune system never truly recovered, leading to him passing. Sepsis is very serious!
👩🌾👩🌾👩🌾👩🌾 I love you guys!! I started this episode yesterday, but I’m a toddler mom and pregnant, so I definitely fell asleep before getting deep into it, and now it’s a day later and I feel like I’m 1000 years late! Lol Chris! We’re so glad you’re here, and honestly looking incredible. Please keep pressing these doctors, you need answers! They need to do something more than guess work. Praying for you! Oh! And yes Ryland, OBGYN’s regularly prescribe antidepressants for a multitude of reasons from PPD/PPA, for some with PCOS and also just general anxiety for some patients. For many women, their OBGYN is really the main if not only medical provider they see for many years. Love you all again!!! Ahhh! 👩🌾👩🌾👩🌾👩🌾
I’m so glad you are okay Chris! My grandfather passed away 2 years ago from sepsis and it went so fast and all of his organs shut down! You are truly blessed and thank god you are here!❤️
Chris I hope you get better soon. I’ve been going through something similar and it’s frustrating not having answers and not feeling good! I love you and I hope you get things figured out soon! 💕💕
“Just to check it off the list” The fact that the hospital basically tried pressuring Chris into undergoing unnecessary appendix surgery because it _“might”_ be the problem - instead of definitively finding the actual problem - is exactly why I don’t trust so-called professionals anymore. Anytime I’ve sought out professional service in the last 5 years, whether it’s healthcare, auto maintenance, technical support, I always end up dealing with incompetent people who barely want to do their jobs. Not to be that person, but as an adult, it’s frustrating when it seems like everywhere you go, nobody wants to do their jobs anymore. It seems like they’ll hire anybody anymore. Everything is such a needless headache. Not being taken seriously and dismissed is such a huge pet peeve, especially when it comes to receiving healthcare. If you know something is wrong with your body, advocate for yourself. Don’t take someone’s dismissive attitude or let yourself be gaslit into thinking you’re crazy. Sometimes, you have to be a Karen and stick up for yourself, especially when your health or money is on the line… nobody else will.
@@kiramchale6907 You’re absolutely right! Imagine if he had went into sepsis during or post-op, he could’ve died. The risk of infection during surgery is already high enough… I’d hate the idea of being a Guinea pig. Poor Chris went back several times and just kept getting worse, only to be admitted once his vitals were abnormal. I know that doctors are supposed to know best, but good grief! A few years ago, my godfather went to the hospital during a cardiac episode, and ended up losing his leg because he had a severe allergic reaction to the intravenous pain medication he was receiving (if I remember correctly) and the staff didn’t catch it. Keep a close eye on your loved ones when they’re in the hospital, ask questions, and stay vigilant. ❤️
Sepsis is not always easy to detect, especially if the patient has been receiving antibiotics. There's no one single test for sepsis, and it's often a matter of ruling out what it's not. There are a number of other maladies that share the same symptoms. It's tempting to blame the doctors for "not wanting to do their jobs," but the fact is that there are still medical mysteries that stump even the most gifted and skilled medical diagnosticians. The media has spoiled us on the idea of a Dr. House wandering into a room and accurately diagnosing a difficult condition based upon what kind of soup you like or what direction your nose hairs grow, or whatever. It's not always cut and dried. Fortunately, they were able to detect the sepsis and treat it, but the notion that a hospital or doctor is willing to lose a patient because they just don't want to "bother" to correctly diagnose a difficult or hidden condition is a misconception.
So glad youre ok chris! I almost lost my life to full body sepsis after a botched kidney surgery a year ago! Im so glad you could recover safely and swiftly! I still struggle with the after effects now, dont be scared to take time to heal properly it is very important.
To Chris- this exact situation happened to me years ago. I would be hunched over w crippling waves of gut pain. I had many scans and tests and no doctor could figure out what was wrong. This went on for months. They almost removed my gallbladder. One doctor stopped them right before they wheeled me away for surgery and gave me strong antibiotics instead. FINALLY after several rounds of antibiotics the gut infection went away for good. I suspect mine came from consuming raw cookie dough, as it came on a few days after doing so. However the pain came on and off for a year. The first round of antibiotics weren’t strong and weren’t as successful. The second I received got rid of it for good. So glad you’re feeling better!!
Shane, it’s such a relief and mental escape that you posted today! My grandma passed on June 22 and her funeral is TODAY.
Was in hospital about 2 months …sepsis almost took me out. All good now ..Thank God ❤❤❤
It’s fay-go-fobia 😂😂!! I almost died from sepsis! My WBC count was 38,000! I was in the hospital for over 2 weeks. I have permanent kidney damage. I’m so glad Chris is ok!
The biggest benefit of eye tracking is really beneficial to quadriplegics.
I almost died from sepsis when I was 19 and it is very scary. I’m so sorry you had to deal with that Chris, it is awful. I’m glad you’re ok!

The production quality is incredible!
AFTER THE DAY IVE HAD, I needed this. I’m off work and doing nothing but this. Thank you❤️
👩🌾 👩🌾- okay so your all my anxiety relief and I get killer morning weekday anxiety so although I’m WATCHING now, just know that I also LISTEN throughout the whole week, literally will watch and listen to your podcasts over and over because it brings me peace and good vibes 👏🏽✌🏽😂
Good to see Chris is okay. Also, he is really glowing this episode. Hope you feel better and you stay healthy and happy. Sending you my love ❤️
The fashion update this episode absolutely hit it outta the park for everyone! Chris being septic and looking that good is downright criminal. That shirt matching with the headphones just makes his eyes pop! So glad you and Spencer are doing alright!❤ ❤❤
Whoop just got in bed and refreshed my feed! Chill time
Septic shock is what put my dad in the hospital for several months and then a rehab place, and then his immune system never truly recovered, leading to him passing.

Lol
Chris!
So I've watched this over 10 times now and I really appreciate just feeling closer to the crew 🙌
Wow! Sepsis is so dangerous! I’m glad your on the mend Chris!
“Just to check it off the list”
The fact that the hospital basically tried pressuring Chris into undergoing unnecessary appendix surgery because it _“might”_ be the problem - instead of definitively finding the actual problem - is exactly why I don’t trust so-called professionals anymore.
Also, I could be wrong but wouldn’t getting a surgery done while having sepsis be seriously dangerous ???
You’d be surprised how often they offer to remove your appendix just in case anytime you have bowel issues, pain and a fever.
@@meechmushrooms sorry to hear about your godfather. I absolutely agree, advocate for yourself!!!
Fortunately, they were able to detect the sepsis and treat it, but the notion that a hospital or doctor is willing to lose a patient because they just don't want to "bother" to correctly diagnose a difficult or hidden condition is a misconception.
when chris said he didn’t think anything of hearing the word sepsis my mouth dropped😭😂 SO GLAD you’re doing okay chris!!!! ❤️
just came to say i love you guys and that im glad ive stuck around for 7 years to see how much your channel and content have grown 🧑🌾🧑🌾🧑🌾
these hours go by SO fast, another great ep
So glad youre ok chris! I almost lost my life to full body sepsis after a botched kidney surgery a year ago! Im so glad you could recover safely and swiftly! I still struggle with the after effects now, dont be scared to take time to heal properly it is very important.
I sure hope you had a winning lawsuit. Sorry to hear that.
Proud Arianator (and Shane-iac) here!! ❤💖🎀✨✨ (Also, hi from the group chat!!) 👩🌾
A friend of mine's brother died of sepsis a few years back. So glad Chris is okay ❤
I know you had a special close relationship with your grandma too and even a supernatural experience! Anyway, I’m glad to be able to see all you guys to distract from this heartache, as you are all so uplifting to me! 🕊️❤️
Watching this while building a walking desk so I can use my walking pad while wfh .. go walk stars! 👩🌾👩🌾👩🌾👩🌾

I am so glad Chris is okay! My mom was septic and it was so bad that the infection actually created a hole in her skin and she had to get a wound vac! She is doing okay now and is fully healed but she was in the ICU for a week straight then in the hospotal afterwards for about 2 weeks. We are so very blessed and I am so glad Chris is doing okay!!❤❤❤❤

Tjmaxx worker here- it’s only supposed to be loss prevention wearing the cameras and it’s only in stores with high theft. My store had a loss of over 1million$ in theft and we don’t have the cameras
