Update. I hate the Tone Zone, just too tame for the 80’s metal I’ll be playing on my Prestige. Getting it replaced with a good ol Dimarzio Super Distortion.
I just found tour channel after being away for aboutv4 years, glad you still rocking. I honestly thought you were Irishman, didn't know you were north American. Cool chops dude
sweet! what pickups are in them? I’m trying to like the tone zone but prefer my JB in my San Dimas as it sounds more like all the 80’s metal I grew up with.
They all of course sound a bit different to say least. They all scream but with number 1 it's also possible to play lay back blues or even jazz as well as blasting away lol🤟
@@Mark-f7o i’m getting the tone zone on the bridge replaced with a Super Distortion, I like and play primarily 70’s and 80’s metal and hard rock with it so think it’ll be great with the Air Norton, like your #2 !
Why do you say you’re fighting your Charvel? Asking because my Charvel has been the easiest guitar to play (dk 24 hh fr). I did a few mods to it. Can it be due to the nickel frets? Maybe some friction. I’m in process of putting on evo gold frets. Should be even smoother.
did you listen to what i said ? it’s hard to play bottom line. hell my Harley Benton $300 is easier. And both those Charvels have been pro set up by Repair Zone in SD. They just have playability issues , I’ve read others experiencing same issues with these MIM Charvels. Multiple things at play I believe. Frets could be part of it but not all of it.
@@WyattScott yeah that’s why I asked. If there’s no fixing it then these large brands are screwing up. Shouldn’t need 3rd party parts to make them good. Going cheaper but charging the same if not more.
Impeccable playing - that new Ibanez sounds awsome!

My number 1 has a pair of fusion edge.. number 2 an air Norton in neck and super distortion in bridge. 3 has air Norton neck and tone zone in bridge
