If it was realistic, Kiryu and any other playable character would die against any normal thug in very few minutes because they are just gonna back up, pull out a gun and shoot them in the back of their head when they aren't looking. That's how it works in the criminal world pretty much.
Thank you!!! It took a while to get the thug necklace, and a lot of tries to get the dagger steal and throw just right, but it definitely works and with 200% less hassle than getting through the fight normally.
@@Mama_buzz notice the low hp and payback ring, which increases your damage the lower your hp is, it's in every Yakuza game as far as I know. Mix it with right upgrades, or hell with it, upgrade the legend style all the way you can and there you go.

The player got lucky because even on Hard, the enemy almost always does an erratic side step to a somewhat random direction after its combo. Instead of trying to circle around it (read: makes the enemy not do the punishable combo), stay somewhat stationary and aim to block and then sidestep past its last attack i.e. a guard-breaking uppercut and mash the heat action button. You simply have to be slightly behind the enemy (read: flanking is often enough) for the Thug i.e. the initial style's concealed knife grab to work. You have to buy that skill from the Abilities thingy. Press the Lock On button to make sure your aim is on the enemy and press Grab to throw the knife at it. This Amon does not dodge projectiles, so it will get hit even when it is standing.
All of his gear, he has gear that makes him take more damage from anything if he gets hit but let’s him deal more damage as a trade off. Since he is doing no damage he doesn’t need the defense. That dagger is also extremely powerful since it’s a boss weapon
Impressive skills, but for everybody else, try to steal his dagger first. Then down some AppStims, and THEN try to throw his own dagger back at him when you're at a long enough distance.
I just tried following your video on Legend but it didn’t happen. He was still alive after I threw it (he was at green health). I had the equipment necessary, Thug wasn’t fully upgraded for me, and limit breaker was upgraded more than shown here on attack (still at level 1). Good thing, I packed a lot of healing items and had my good equipment to beat him once that occurred.

Well first, buy yakuza 0 + ps4, do all substories, do club, do thug training for knife steal, and toss a knife at Jojo Amon, (such as a bizzare way to kill him eh?)
He has 1HP and several buffs. Thug Necklace increases Thug power. Payback Ring increases attack the lower your health. Since he is at 1 HP, he has maximum attack boost. The Bloody Binding was to increase his heat. It's possible, but you need to put in the work for those. Necklace and Ring both need some RNG and Crafting to get, so good luck.

Omar Nunez Jo Amon fills your empty inventory slots with "Stamina Spork" which cuts HP to 1.
Well, there's also the appstim that you can get from the drugstore which can also reduce your health, but you'd have to get a bunch
This isn't a bug so it would never get patched lol. The game fully allows and expects you to do stuff like this.

Circle to throw. Majima must be wearing the equipment I mentioned in the description in order to gain a massive attack boost.
