Sorry to hear you've been in the wars Martyn. Looking forward to sampling your strawberry and lime sour this evening which is the last of the beers I got from you earlier this month, the blackberry one was excellent, I tend to mostly brew stouts myself but you're giving me a push towards trying a sour again... Take care and cheers!
The finger and toes were mere stupidity! We had some wonderful blackberries this year and had some nice results from the experiments. The strawberries came from a farm in Derbyshire, the limes from Waitrose :-) I'm very tempted to do a few Porters - I've an experimental Porter in keg that I made during lockdown based loosely on an old recipe from Belfast I think but it's too lively to can. Of all the sours this year, the Beetroot and Apple surprised me the most - complex sugars.
Hey martyn.. thanks for the video!.. I have an ss brewtech unitank and did exactly what you have done and it does work well. Annoying having to clean the coil by hand, but hey ho, can't justify jacketed setup just yet!.
Good to see you back. "all the way from China..." how reliable are parts from the said country? Looking at buying into the stainless steel world of fermenting and finding accessories hard to come by in this country. Take care.
I've found the quality of stainless steel stuff to be very good. Pretty much all of my triclamp fittings have come from AliExpress. This 8" for the VIP is a piece of art in its own right, beautifully machined.
Hope you heal soon, take care cheers 👍🍻
