Carol the Euro for all its faults is best for Ireland. If the politicians had control of our currency they would cause havoc by devaluing and then have to raise interest to make the currency of some value so we can pay for imports. I paid 18 percent on my home loan when we had our own currency. This was at a time when Sinn Fein was not goading the politicians in the other parties to buy votes as they are now sadly.

Yes, a proper Land Registry, a Cadastre that is free to search where every interest in land and property is declared. France has a very strong Land Observatory that protects national land resource for productive use by nationals is desperately needed in Ireland. Farm and Forestry land is being concentrated in external investment ownership and prices are skyrocketing

It’s a reminder of the importance of finding ways to create financial opportunities. You've helped me a lot sir Brian! Imagine i invested $50,000 and received $190,500 after 14 days

I saw it was all a pile of crap and we were all fools. ....I suggested to the councillor in Buncranna that at one of their first meetings about the crumbling houses, that "all crumbling house owners should all collectively cease all mortgage payments" but nobody ever listens to me and they just dismissed my very thoughtful about their situation suggestion. When interest rates go up you feel the hit immediately. When they go down you have to waits months. Banks pocket the difference. Bsnks would not have a door open without the taxpayers money. Irish keep complaining and voting for FF/FG

Just remember that those that do pay are paying for those that dont pay. He wants government to fund this ? They cant do a bike shed right, the childrens hospital is double the budget and was meant to be finished 2 years ago. This is a policy for another Anglo with the state as the shareholders. Whats being questioned here is who owns the debt and is the correct creditor taking the action, thats all. The loan is in default but to who ? The originator can always prove the debt, the argument is do the assignees get good title to that debt. I get this is populism as there are more borrowers than banks but this is why the banks are leaving - KBC & Ulster Bank. Less competition mean those remaining will charge more which is basic economics. The more compassionately the banks are made to behave and they do need to improve but there is a price to pay for that compassion and that means higher interest rates.

This is the first video I've watched of this channel. I found it very diappointing. This first section is eddie's undertones of whats in the new EU directive that can get me of the legacy debt hook "we need to move on" narrative following by the Apple 14B to be levered up to 80B and used as a mortgage bank. So this new bank would operate like the banks did prior to the crash. Giving easy credit, because thats what being implied, this would drive up property and inflation, probably to the point that wages would be uncompeditive with compeditive foreign countries., a flashback to the 1980s hangover spawned from the 70s inflation

The reason solicitors wont get involved or "dont have the time" but yet aren't selling houses or barristers are slow is because they are all risk assessed by the same insurance company, so there's a conflict of interest, if your conveyancing solicitor messes up and you go to a new solicitor or better still you go back to your conveyancing solicitor and they know that they "over looked" for the better words your contract agreement they cant have or be involved with a strike against the professional indemnity insurance as the 3 strikes and your out of business rule kicks in, Edmondo is not mentioning that, our whole loan, legal and lives hinges on sime billionaire risk assessment conglomerate of share holders making a loss, thats how real justice works, i have learnt that lesson over the past 14 years, thats the real dirty little secret, the whole just-us system is a conflict of interest, i have the proof and so do 100s of others. Order out of chaos. The 2008 Banking scam never went away, its been hushed up like the dirty uncle.

My idea for Apple 14 billion, 15 kW powerwall (with ability to connect solar panels) in every IRISH families house/dwelling - this would give back to the Irish people for all shxt we've had to deal with. It would stabilise the electrical power grid now and into the future, allow people to charge up over night on cheaper rates. If there's an over production from wind turbines we have some where to store it. If people have excess electrical storage during peak demand they can sell it to their supplier for credit, handy during electrical blackouts. If it was rolled out starting with means tested IRISH OAP's and anyone taking care of sick or others needs people and so on up the socioeconomic scale. 2022 count of human dwellings was just under 2,200,000 homes (need to establish IRISH family homes), the 15 kW battery/powerwall with 10 year warranty / 80%. It may also help tackle the ridiculous price we pay for electricity. This will give something back to all IRISH people and not just a small portion (homeless) of irish or some vulture fund.

Whats the point in creating a bank for private entities to borrow and own infrastructure when the state could employ and pay contractors to build said infrastructure with the state owning infrastructure. What your learned friend is championing is the continued, privatisation of Ireland. There is no excuse for not building social housing stock owned by the state not approved housing bodies The former master appears to be just another advicate of the corporatization of the state by the back door.

i disagree with everything, i’m angry, and i’d love to get in a court room with him. he is buddy to politicians only. he is hinting that ther may be a help with housing by using the money to set up a bank. but as he said it’s to fund investment in failing wind and solar infrastructure. but by the way that helps with housing. he’s peddling politics for the government. his brother facilitated the fraud oversight of irish lending, where they lent €1.40 for every €1 deposit of which 90% was german and Swiss capital. He talks about the register of deeds to teach the lay litigants that the deed Act is law not and Act, it’s nothing more than a record that’s in most cases not updated and not recorded, Anything that’s disputed is settled by the dictionary, Blacks Law. definition of a deed is a good deed, in relation to property it’s Regarding Property Rights. ReGarding it. In Law the Onus is on the King to look after his own KingDom, Dom is Latin Dominus meaning to dominate. king dominate this. should anyone break into your property at night you shall not be found guilty should you kill them. Law is above Acts. should you occupy a property for a term and i don’t exercise my right to it then i loose it to you. Property rights and registration of deeds are not on the same legal standing. Kings Dominate properties and lands. All lands around the world are aquired in the same way. A sword 🗡️ is forged in steel as it’s fought for by the sword that steels the land and forged the papers, so it’s forged in steel. so everything this puppet has said to those in bank distress is hang on to hope. where getting money to help with the housing but will be used for investments in renewables instead, and if you can’t fight the banks, let the central bank turn your loan into something manageable and reduce your property to something you will affordably rent. based on other things he’s said in the past. This is a bank facilitated tribunals not court cases. You leave it to a tribunal to decide everything and anything, and you forfeit all your rights in doing so. Do Not Become A Lay Litigant. You Are Master Of The Court not this imbecile. A lay litigant is a classification for an unprofessional officer of the court in the Taxing Masters Act. Once you became an Adult you could never be put into a Class you did not wish to be in. Thumbs down this video.

This is complete nonsense. There is an issue with Irish law. A mortgage should be a secured loan, if you default and arent making payments after a period (and those details can be debated) the lender should be able to foreclose on the asset. The lender should be able to sell on the loan. This is how the system works in other developed countries. In ireland we have this ambiguous legally gray situation. The result is that everybody who is paying their mortgage is subsidising other borrowers who aren't paying, whether that is wont or cant. That is why we have the highest mortgage rates in Europe and no competition in the banking market. Nobody wants to setup in competition, with this situation

Great stuff guys thanks.....hopefully your advice will be taken but I won't hold my breath.
A national bank would help us and hinder the banks profiteering so very unlikely the puppets will do the right thing.

Can anyone tell me, when a mortgage is finished, do you need a solicitor to retrieve the deeds of the property...?

No we informed the mortgage provider and arranged collection of the docs. That was done many years ago. Don't know if the rules changed since then

Thankfully mortgage free a few months ago. Contacted the bank, there was a fee of 60 euro to retrieve the deeds from their vault, and that was it

No, just ask the bank for your deeds. They need a bit of time to retrieve them and will contact you to collect them.
