Yvan and Nick are right on with the efficiency of Rinseless Wash with Ceramic Gloss as a drying aid. It probably helps that my 2001 Boxster is a smallish car with 5 year Ceramic Coating. I was able to do a complete Rinseless Wash pre-spray, Legacy sponge no-pressure wash, and Ceramic Gloss dry / buff in 20 minutes. With no excess water, I didn't have to worry about blowing out the mirrors, headlights, tailights, and other water-holding crevices. One last note... I drive up and down a dusty gravel road and the car is outside 24/7.
Thank you.
Yvan and Nick, ive been watching you guys for several years and it amazes me how yall both went from different channels and different places to create what is now one of the most trustworthy companies known as DIYDETAIL. Yall keep putting out not only awesome videos but products that are hitting the competition out of the park! Plus yalls communication with everyone is top notch. Congratulations on all the success thus far!! Hope much more comes yalls way!!
Wow, thank you
Pollen is brutal here in Connecticut. Ive adapted the pre treat with rinseless and or, rinse with a hose, then pre-treat, then rinseless wash. You can always learn more! And I love it!! Thanks, Yvan and Nick!
Thanks for sharing
Man Ivan is like a Ricky Nelson song. I’m a traveling man. He’s everywhere. Love your products love you guys. I tell my wife and kids all the time I could give a hoot about meeting Hollywood stars or famous athletes. I would much rather meet incredible artists and craftsmen. I see what you guys like Pan do as a type of craftsmen. I love to work with my hands I make things. And do a job myself.
Thank you for sharing
I detailed my 1st car in 1981 and I never stop learning from you guys! Furthermore, I have rewatched this video 3 times now and still hear things that I missed.... subtle nuances. I live your videos and your products!
Typing from my phone, sorry for the spelling mistakes.
Thanks
I always enjoy your videos
Thank you
Another really good video, the magic here it’s yvan with all his knowledge and Nick with the perfect questions, knowing what we want to ask 👍🏼
I will love a video like ceramic coating outside ✅
One more time thank you guys! 🤙🏽
Thanks
Did a Rinseless wash today! So fast, easy, and results!
Thanks
Last year I used P&S Rinseless Wash. It was good. This summer I got DIY Detail Rinseless Wash and just wow I'm blown away, I literally said this stuff is magic
Thanks
Efficiency is the key of happiness!
Yes!
For me the most time-efficient wash is to pressure wash with 5 gallons DIY Rinseless 256:1 (using the same Ryobi cordless Yvan used before), then dry using DIY Waterless as the drying aid. The chemical/rinse steps are combined into one, and the chemical/contact wash/dry/protect steps are combined as well.
Good
Yvan has a video with the Ryobi cordless?
@@kic402 yup, look up "How to Clean a Salty Car Without a Hose" on DIY Detail's channel
My biggest time loss getting back into frequent detailing has been having a system but not following it or only following halfway 😅 and then having to backtrack to figure out where I last did it 100% to process.
You’ll get it.
Love watching the videos. My vehicle is suffering from sections of peeling paint and body panels rusting due to north east winters, what would be the best way to wash it without getting my wash media covered in the paint chips? I had thought about trying to find a large flag tip brush for those sections and using a sponge/mit for the rest of the car.
That’s a good plan
Buckets had their time to shine, however seems like it’s close for them to retire. Not quite yet because one is obviously needed for contact/ rinseless, but feels like we are almost there. Certain detailing companies may not like that answer, however it seems to be true.
Thank you.
Great video! I’ve just become interested in detailing and I’ve been washing my own car for the first time in 8 years, bought all the tools and chemicals, I do enjoy the full-on process with snow foam and pressure washer but it takes me 2.5 hours or more, if I can do this every time the car gets dirty like once or twice a week and only whip out the pressure washer once a month I’ll be a happier man 😀
Excellent
First time watching great tips here. Just curious anyone know what sprayer "keg" Ivan is using?

Can I use your decon towel with another brand of spray wax as well instead of the ceramic gloss? Do spray waxes generally provide lubrication?
First comment on your videos but have always been a fan for months!
Thanks for joining us. Unfortunately no, not all provide adequate lubrication
Hello you two, I have been using your products since the very beginning.
I wash my car every day and with the ceramic protection 20 minutes to do the entire car. My question is is it safe to wash motorcycle tires with Rinseless Wash?
thank you for your videos. THANKS! for your good work. Merci pour vôtre beau travail
Yes, it’s safe on all surfaces of a motorcycle, DIY Detail Rinse Less Wash is a pure cleaner that leaves nothing behind
How often would you recommend using ceramic gloss or quick beads as a ceramic topper or drying aid? Will it mask the coating if it was applied weekly after every wash?
It can be used as often as you want
After prepping the vehicle and polishing for ceramic application with the stack what is the best way to apply if you have to break it up into segments - or would you recommend 1 shot? Can the coating and applicators be used again after opening?
One shot, with 2-8 hours between the 2 coatings. Yes applicators can be reused
I have soft black Honda paint. I coated the car a year ago. Will the synthetic decon towel be safe on that super soft paint?
Yes, when used as we instruct
@@diydetailofficial Thank you
A good process for a cessna 172. Do you have a recommendation for a price range for this procedure and scrubbing the belly of a 172?

I’ve been waiting to buy iron remover but it’s been sold out everywhere. Can I use TURTLE WAX | HYBRID SOLUTIONS CERAMIC ACRYLIC BLACK WAX with the decon towel after a rinse less wash?
Unfortunately you would need to test it.
@@diydetailofficial gotcha. I’ll continue waiting patiently for iron remover restock! Have an eta?
How often to remove bug splats on the hood and bumper? I get them pretty much every time I start the engine, 3-4 times each day.
If you have a ceramic coating, once a week
will ceramic gloss clog your drying towel? if so do you just submerge the drying towel in a bucket of rinseless to prevent that?
Yes, and yes
Random thought …..What is the cleaning process for the decontamination towel after using ceramic gloss with it ?
Dunk it in rinseless before it dries to emulsify any SiO2. Then rinse and flat dry.
Allow it to spend a few minutes in your wash bucket, rinse, dry, store.
@diydetialofficial - Polishing question if you don’t mind answering. How would you do the cut with rotary? Still the same low speed but with a more aggressive pads? Or speed the machine up for the first stage correction? :)
I ask because I’m trying to decide if I should buy the rotary or the DA as I currently don’t have a polisher and wish to get a great finish and also remove some scratches :)
Simply pad change, speed and technique remains the same.
Thank you :)
Hi guys, I am planning to wash my car and ceramic coat it and was wondering if this is the right way to go.
1) Presoak with rinseless
2) Wash with sponge
3) While wet, Use iron X
4) Rinse off car with water
5) Dry
6) Wipe car with ceramic prep
7) Ceramic coat
8) Next time wash, exclude iron X and use ceramic gloss as a drying aid
Thanks for any tips!
We highly suggest using the Perforated Synthetic Decontamination Towel and DIY Detail Iron Remover for step 3
Adding a light polish before the panel prep will improve the results
Is there a video where you use All-Clean for the bumper and follow it with Rinseless Wash?
Several
question for you guys, Why do you supply the sprayers separately with your 16oz bottles. is it a storage thing? just ordered my first DIY Detail products and was sent, waterless wash, ceramic gloss, and tire dressing with 3 separate nozzles
For shipping reasons ( less chance of breaking
Is the cap on 1 gallon of rinceless a half ounce so i can use to measure? I just bought and waiting on delivery
Yes, it is
I've never thought to ask but what is the Keg? Can I get a smaller one that is the same?
Is there a cure time for ceramic gloss before exposing it to water?
1 hour
If using iron remover for decon, do we rinse it off afterwards?
Yes
I have the keg but my hose does not stretch out as much. I get maybe 5-6 feet away and it pulls the keg over. Is there an easy way to make it stretch out further? Thanks
Get a different hose.
I use the sponge to clean the hub caps. Any reason not to? I began using a towel, but in a TRC video I saw them using the sponge. Only issue I can tell so far is it can easily get nicked and then tear a square.
No reason at all
For the legacy sponge how to we maintain it or wash it after use?
When using DIY Detail Rinse Less Wash, simply rinse and put somewhere to dry until your next use.
Is there a dilution ratio for DIY rinseless to use as Clay lube?
256:1
We only have 1 dilution, 256/1
Im always scared to clean my instrument panel because the plastic scratches so easy. What do you recommend to clean and avoid scratches. Warm soapy water n micro towel?
Use a soft brush with your vacuum first. From there the type of microfiber doesn’t matter as much as it being clean. Rinseless wash or interior clean & protect are excellent interior products.
Do you have a soft brush you recommend? And in the event its already a lil scratched up how do i properly remove those scratches?
DIY Detail Rinse Less Wash on a MF Towel is all you need
Would it make sense to presoak the car with rinseless, let it dwell, rinse it off and reapply at the same time by just reapplying rinseless?
Yes
I could save time if i had a flat driveway. Unfortunately my driveway slopes up to my garage. So using a cart for the wash won't work, so I'm lugging buckets, brushes etc as i move around the car which costs me time.
cart or buckets with locking wheels?
It’s a reality for many
You could cut some cardboard box in small pieces and place them behind the wheel
Tip for washing gloss black wheels with rinseless? Same process?
Yes
ME: i do the "lazy man's carwash". when rain is forecasted in a few hours, smear the car with wash+wax shampoo. after rain will remove the soap and dirt, car will look good.
Cool
This night I was coating a car with the 8 year Diy coating
It was about 20 Celsius and i got streaks all the time
I tried 1 minute, 2 minutes up to 5 minutes
Is it because the car itself is to hot
Which advice do you have?
Too hot, too humid or you were not applying in circular motions ( coating too thick).
I have the red pads so of course i use circular motions
Will it be better to have water of the paint to cool it off?
It was a black car
Water and coating application are not best of friends . Try to work on the shaded area first, then move the car.
I love how your Rinsless wash makes my wash media (Legacy Sponge in my case) instantly clean, and after the whole process it's clean too, I've used a lot of different rinsless and always my sponge was super dirty and grimey, had to wash it with APC wich was a whole process.. But beware, others are copying your formula I think :/ Still your was my first and will be my last. Quality over hype. Cheers
Thanks for sharing!!
Can and is there any benefit to using Ceramic gloss as a drying aid for every wash?
Ive heard some other brands ceramic sprays can cause streaking if used too often.
You can if you want.
We see you using a decontamination towel very often. The shop where I buy my priduct is stating that it is as aggressive as a clay bar, should be done really once or twice a year or less and is only making sense for pro that need to decontaminate many cars obviously...what is your take on it?
Is not using decontamination towel counter productive.
The DIY Detail Perforated Synthetic Decontamination Towel is safe to use as often as you wish. Other towels can cause damage.
Where can I get that keg

Thanks for the info. I ordered it the same day. I got worried for a second because although I got a confirmation email, I had not seen any shipping emails. So I called and actually talked to Scott who went into detail how he makes them and how he handles his orders as he is trying to grow his Business. I appreciate the referral and feel even better knowing I'm supporting small business.
I warsh my car every day...my neighbors probably think I'm crazy 🤪
Or they are jealous
Washing a Brown Altima weekly is crazy, I respect the grind tho
Lol, it's about looking after what's yours, no matter how cheap or expensive it may be and being proud of it. I think most of us understand 🫡
It’s a car, they all deserve to be clean
@@diydetailofficial damn right
Thanks
I can see why you only need one bucket, you guys only wash clean cars. Actually that's an overstatement, you wash pristine cars
I invite you to watch this

@diydetailofficial Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now, and then most of your vehicles are not dirty, and when you say you do a paint correction, most of those cars only need a minor enhancement
Then make your own videos
@@dgeldmacher55 even though no one asked you, I could make a video. If I did I would be transparent I wouldn't just wash clean cars.
You're right. Nobody asked me. But I told you anyway. Consider it a bonus. You're welcome. Now go watch all thier videos and make an educated comment that makes sense. They wash dirty cars all the time. I'll be waiting for your video

Thank you.
I wish I had a garage to wash my truck. I hate washing it in the sun.
