I bought your clay towel so I can try this method and keep chipping away at my efficiency. Yes you can seal after claying without having to polish. This whole process per car should take between 20 and 30 minutes depending on the size of the vehicle. This should be great for taking profit!

    Howdy.
I’m getting ready to apply Turtle ceramic Hybrid to my six year old VW.
But there are so many different options recommended I don’t know what to do:
    1. Wash car
    2. Apply prep solution to prepare for clay bar.
    3. Wash off prep solution
    4. Apply clay lubricant
    5. Clay bar entire car
    2. Wash car
    7.: Apply ceramic hybrid spray
    8. Towel dry
I am doing this outside, and don’t have a polisher.
    Thanks!

Hi Yvan! For a mobile car detailer, how long would you say should a complete wash, clay, seal (foam, rinse, foam) method take from start to finish? Would love to know how long a beginner should take and how long an experienced detailer should take? Only one person. I'm asking because I did my first car the other day and it took me about 6 hours to finish haha. This includes doing the fuel cap, door jams, dressing on the exterior trim.

Thank you so much for all these information you are producing. Very educational for person like me, who never washed until watching your riinseless video ( went to automatic car washes or hand wash only). Just purchased interior clean & protect. ❤ A couple of questions.. 1)I saw some detailers mention not clay without subsequent polishing. Never clay before but want to give a shot using towel - looks easier to control pressure ? Should I be worried that I need to polish? I do not have tools. 😂. 2) Interior clean & protect - there is "protect" element. Should I be worried about build-up? 3) I know this defeats the goal of rinseles wash but I rinse with garden hose after soak & contact wash. Then apply rinseless (64:1) as drying aid/quick beads as drying aid and towel dry. Does that cause issues long term aside from inefficient. I am new to this and extra cautious. 😂 I know you are super busy. So appreciate reading this in advance.

1: with traditional clay that’s true , with our perforated synthetic decontamination Towel, and proper lubrication no fear.
2 : no build up with regular use, the new cleaning removes the old protection.
3 if you want to use DIY Detail Quick Beads, rinse after your wash, apply DIY Detail Quick Beads rinse and dry, no need to add more Rinseless wash. If you do absolutely want to add more, 256/1 dilution is sufficient.

You want to make sure whatever sealant you're using is slick enough going on to function as a clay lube, doesn't flash off quickly, and is ideally easy to use without streaks, but really for the most part yeah you can. Just keep in mind that if it's just you as opposed to two people like in this video, you're gonna want to go panel by panel so you can buff the panel when you're done with it.
Just think of it this way: Instead of saying "can I use any sealant with this method?" Ask yourself: "Is this sealant suitable for use as a clay lube?".
Obviously you're not really gonna be able to use fusso coat or something of that nature, but there's a ton of them out there that should work just fine.
test it on a beater or test panel if you're really really uncertain.

Hey, guys great videos, i'm new to being a weekend warrior, i live in the UK i have watched alot of your videos, its ashame we cant get your products to the uk without it costing a arm and leg. I have products that i have used but still have more to get throguh before changing to diy detailer aa i love the look of your spray polish, however my quesion is can you use your method using say a synthetic clay disc (use it by hand) ? Or is this towel different? Is it true in general when using a traditional clay bar you should always polish after but if you use either synthetic clay block, disc or towel you shouldnt need to polish after as it doesnt leave marring etc? Any advice would b3 grateful, keep up the great videos.

    1) dry the car after you rinseless wash it and before you use the clay towel and the dry the car again after using the clay towel. OR
    2) just start claying after you wash it and then dry the car at the end…?

The best advice is to spray out your trigger at the end of every day, back into the bottle. I've been doing this for a while (ever since Yvan showed me) and have had zero issues with clogging. -Nick ua-cam.com/users/shortsiEzxvFNm-pY?feature=share

Overhyping rinseless washing is NOT where we should be going. Yes, its an excellent method for washing light dirt and dust off vehicles … maybe even close to moderately dirty. But really dirty vehicles, rinseless washing just doesn’t cut it. Unless you spend time soaking and reapplying solution, but by that time you could have traditionally washed it and been done. I’m sorry but the truth is, NO rinseless wash is going to clean tires or any kind of rubber. It’s just not powerful enough.
Can we just be real about this? It’s not that hard to do. We all know rinseless is good, but it’s clearly NOT the best method. Neither is traditional, touchless or waterless. They all have their place and application. Let’s stop trying to pretend that one size fits all here. That’s just not reality.
I think these videos are a great source of information. I just don’t like being told something I know isn’t true. It’s irritating and unnecessary. Just because you prefer rinseless does not mean it’s the best. Just stop it. That’s silly. “It’s the safest, it’s the fastest, it’s the best” is a bunch of hogwash. It’s your opinion, it has no base in factual evidence. It works for you and that’s great, but that’s all it is.

After installing the diy Graphene coating on a daily driver, how long after do you recommend doing the wash/clay/seal method? And then at what intervals do you recommend doing this on the coated vehicle? Also will using this synthetic clay affect the coating characteristics, such as beading, slickness etc?

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  Рік тому +2

after applying the coating, wait a minimum of one week to wash. At that point, you can use a product like Quick Beads or Ceramic Gloss as a drying aid if you wish. The perforated synthetic decontamination towel can be used as often as you'd like, as long as you use proper lubrication and no pressure. Use it once a month or every two months if you so desire. Eventually, you'll get more in tune with your paint and you'll know if it's got built up contaminants (and needs the towel). It will be visual but you'll also know what it feels like under the towel as you use the method periodically.
