Is This The Dumbest Thing Ever Installed In Cars?

As I was starting the process of changing the water pump on the Z28, I can't help but notice how this stupid piece of equipment, that does nothing despite what some people would want to say, was all up in my way. Is this the most useless thing ever installed on cars? I think so. Let me know in the comments what you think.
