Sunny, do you watch SKAM? It's an Norwegian show and they swear a lot actually. Their swearing sounds so... cute??🙄
+Sophie Tawiah Yes! I love skam! :D
Sophie Tawiah I think "ser?" and "drittsekk" are the most used words in skam 😂
Moritz Hebeler yeah they say drittsekk a lot😁 also "fy faen" seems to be pretty popular too
i knew "drittsekk" only from skam xD
If you don't watch skam you are not norwegian. Its a fact.
That pug in the chair. A definition of chill comes to mind.
Try German words: "PANZERABWEHRGRANATE". And be sure to pronounce the "R"
GermanART wtf😂😂
I want her to say "Weißrussisches Lawinensuchgerät"
So im sabbaton Stil PANZERRRRRRRKAMPF

Am I the only one here because Tord is Norwegian...? Yeah pretty much
Kawaii_Emo That used to be me.
Now not so much.

Tom Larsson YESH
pleaaaseee, do a video speaking norwegiaaaann!!! hahaha I'm learning it, and I'd wanna hear you.. to see if I understand some things and also to see your native language beeing spoken by you!!
Vær så snill, gjør en video at du snakker på norsk!!! jeg mye vil du til snakker norsk! jeg mye vil til hører duuuu!♥♥♥
That pronounciation in 1:49 sounds exactly like the German version with a funny accent.
So you can use it in Germany too ;)
Yep, but it's written as Hure. Which is a bit of an oldfashioned swearword nowadays. There are more common words to basically call a woman a prostitute, like "Nutte". Or people can just go for the basic genital swearwords that in English mostly have four letters.
I saw Skam recently and here I am 😂
I'm really glad I found this channel! I'm learning Norwegian in my spare time and I'm pretty sure these words won't be taught on Duolingo. Lol.
now folks LETS LEARN ABOUT *-TORDS COUNTRY LAUNGUES-* *(FROM EDDSWORLD IF YOU DONT KNOW EDDSWORLD... DONT READ ITS..)*
EDDSWORLD
I heard some Americans have trouble, while others speed through my language
As someone who has been learning Norwegian for the past 15 months, Jeg elsker denne videoen! Det er dritkult! :) I learned alot of Norwegian swearing from SKAM!
My grandmother told me a story about a German nurse who had a hard time pronouncing English. Often times she would confuse three for dritt, much to the amusement of her classmates (she grew up in a Norwegian community). I was told that dritt = shit in Norwegian. Is that not the case anymore? To be fair, this would have happened in the 60's-- about 80 years after her family immigrated to the United States.
I was born and raised in Sweden, and I can confirm that a lot of those swearwords are also used in Swedish, but with diffrent spelling. Like for example Jævel, in Swedish is Jävel, so on so forth
Drittsekk would be Dreckssack in germany and it means the same :3
Sagt man echt Dreckssack? Hab immer gemeint Drecksack :$
"FAEN" to everyone who reads now my comment
Hhhhh :p .i.
faen u too
you will have to say "faen ta deg" for it to make sense
Din jævel
COÑO
Ti still din lille*
I used to speak English and Norwegian.
I hate that I just now found you but you're like the perfect, most gorgeous Norwegian princess and I love it lol. I'm currently in the process of learning Norwegian, hence why I'm here. I was curious about the swear words lol.
I always will say Faen(?) idk how to write it😂
Du skrev det riktig 👍🏼😁
I just so happened to stumble across your channel. I'm now binge watching your videos. You are so awesome Sunny, you now have a new subscriber and keep up the videos!
I am norwegian this is insanely funny! 😂
Sameee
Same lmfao
It's actually common that we norwegians say sorry if we bump into someone. But it's not that common with youths. Btw, your norwegian prononce is amazing!
I've got a lot linguistically out of this video over the past year! Have seen it many times.
One random feature: use of "din" rather than "du" -- particularly in insults ("din kødd"), but maybe also in the national anthem ("din store Gud").
I think it's actually an old "vocative" case, sort of. Genitive used as vocative anyway.
I've never seen an explanation for why it doesn't exist in the plural -- why you wouldn't say "deres drittsekker" if insulting more than one person, for instance.
Thank you. I'm currently learning Norwegian and now it actually feels complete
Make a video with german swear words!!!! All the german people write a swear word and you have to gess what it means.
you mean dutch swear words
Bianca Antonioli nah please no I don't want UA-cam Germany all around here
FOOK U MALAGAGWHSSWA!!1!1!!1!1ELF!1!11
For example: Drecksack
Wixxer
+Kubisili es heißt Wichser nicht Wixxer, Wixxer kommt vom Film "Der Wixxer" und ist kein Wort.
Hey Sunny in german there exist a word called "Jawohl" which sounds a bit like jævel (in speech). The funny part is that it is mostly used in military speech. If a commander give an order to a soldier, he has to confirm by "jawohl". :D FYI: jawohl means, "yes I got it".
I wanna cosplay as Norway.. Now I can curse people, be in character and confuse people all at the same time.. heheh
I have found my people
I have finally found someone
hetalians unite :D
What people need is a two minute video of getting cussed out by a norwegian, because when i got yelled at by a norwegian girl she just got more mad when i started laughing she just sounded so cute (I´m swedish by the way)
ok well howlong can i stay in norway with this vocabulary .)
forever
....or until you get punched in the face for being too obnoxious. 😀
LOVE LOVE LOVE the puggy in the back going “She is swearing at the laptop again!” 😂❤️
Hahaha, I'm a Norwegian, and I say "din kødd" - that means I am old 😂😂
Your smile makes me so happy 😊😍
I started studying Norwegian because I'm a fan of Tord from eddsworld and he's Norwegian. X3
Me too lmao
ANOTHER EDD HEAD!
I relate too much to this 😂
ANOTHER fan? jeez people!
Always a joy to learn something new from you, Sunny! :D
Any more videos like this on the planning board? :)
6 years and 1 like..no comments.. I’ll be first.
I'm going to curse this around my friends that likes Tord from eddsworld 😂

Nice Idea
@@DFWMONEYBAGG yah fam
I love Norway, I went there in 2011 for a vacation. Amazing country.
If Ned Flanders, Yoda and my grandma combined their lingual knowledge to make up a language, the result would be Norwegian... it’s super cute!
//🇸🇪❤️
vi er det beste språket
@@lidallyhim *bästa
Men nej så menade jag inte, Svenska är fortfarande bäst: Svenska > Norska > alla andra språk😛
@@bluelotus9245 å jeg trodde du syntes språket hørtes dumt ut
@@lidallyhim Ja Norska låter jättedumt! Men det är riktigt fascinerande och underhållande att lyssna på. Dock trodde jag inte du skulle vara ok med att jag placerade Norskan som 2a, efter Svenskan😛
Now it makes sense why Switzerland is sometimes referred to as Helvetia or Helvetien
Finnaly
Vestlands Lefså . she should make collabs with atozy
You wrote finally wrong :3
I would love it if you have a q&A with your best friend or any friend in Norwegian with subtitles

*oj då! de är inte fina ordet då, nästa gång säga de är fina ordet ;) bra jobbet Sunny*
what about knulle deg
+Hellbine scratch it means "to bang you"
Satan has become a greeting phrase in my school, if I see someone from school, we both raise our hands (almost like we are gonna grab god by the balls) and then shout SATAN! Sometimes even teachers do it.
Hey, nice Videos
Hey Sunny. I have a Question and a Idea! :D Can u make a full Norwegian Video with Subtitles and is there a BIG difference between Swedish and Norwegian / Finnish/ Norwegian?
Marcelo Suchaneko as a Norwegian we understand swedish, but the swede will maybe not understand and Danish if the Danes speak a little bit slower an don't use so many numbers(oral) written is no problem - norway spend 500 years together with our neighbours until 1905. Finnish is absolute no similarities, but they learn swedish in finland, so I could speak to finn 3 weeks after she arrived in norway and have done a short landuage course. we hear much swedish music in norway and saw swedish children show when we was kids, it is not the other way around.
I love u
if u love her to Bot I like
I love when i can say everything i want in norwegian and people from other countries dosent understand me
Jeg er norsk og jeg banner mye
STorm samme
Good. For. You.
Jeg kan banne mye, bruker som regel de mest groveste banneordene da. 😑
Jeg er ikke norsk :(
Hysterical and informative! Looks like you had a lot of fun making this. Takk
sunny your so cute ;-)
Din jaevle drittsekk! "You're so cute" :-O)
How do i say "lost in time"in Norwegian?
Cuuute
I had to show this to my friends at school (I live in America) because a car didn't stop for us at the crosswalk and I don't usually tell at things in English... I do it in Norwegian.
Want to say first but too late... xD
I can finally bully my friends without them knowing what the faen I'm saying.
Sweetest and best girl on youtube
I just scream " Faen uv, tispe!" To my friends

I just stumbled upon this video and I laughed so much :D
These videos of yours about Norway are priceless!
Hi sunny, you're a very pretty girl when I watch your videos, and hear your voice i feel good. Ahmed from Iraq
Bit of a late comment, not sure if this is passe for youtube or not, but eh..
Your video made my day. Hearing the words and accent again, it made me happy and sad. It's been so long since I've even heard a simple takk or faen, I'd take either meant in sincerity with the same gratitude. I was just connecting with an older Swede I know, we were talking and he dropped a slightly unfamiliar slang. Looked the word up later, and I got here somehow. Internet works in strange ways eh? Anyway, can't let the old bastard know some girl I don't know made me tear up from just talking. I am a halfbreed: father was Norwegian. I haven't had a chance to speak or hear my mother tongue in.. Sorry. Rambling. Your eyes are the same color as mine, heh. Have a good day, pretty one; you've made mine better. I'll have to look at more if your vids.
These are actually all SWEDISH swear words!!!!!
No
GrK33 Sweden and Norway share words
Banana Jam Well, Almost. Same With Danish.
well that's because Swedish and Norwegian are very similar languages so word are sometimes the same.
Norwegian and Danish are closer in written Language than Norwegian and Swedish are...
But Norwegian and Swedish are closer in spoken Language than Norwegian and Danish are...
I will never forget that I were in Lillehammer and someone were being a bit shady going around luggage and an older gent turned to him and said: Trol!
Thanx , now if I ever go to Norway I won't feel so out of place since I learned some of the language.
Versuch mal Blummentopferde auszusprechen
Blumentopferde - Wenn man nicht mal schreiben kann...
*looks at title* "Norwegian swear words"
Me: yup, definitely demonitized.
These are the first words my Norwegian friends taught me. Even before learning how to say 'How are you?' I learned Faen.
Norwegian is such a beautiful language
"not that we Norwegians swear a lot..." eh, have you been in Northern Norway 😂? Swear words are like every second word that comes out of our mouths
Welcome what is vour watssap noumbr

I just notice that there is flashing animation on the like button on UA-cam but why it's only play the first time only? when I clicked like and try to click it again, the animation is not showing any more.
I really want a bit of a tour of Norway. You said you haven't seen much of your own country so maybe you could see some and show us? It's a bit of work but it would be great.
Or show us some more of your film making creativity, I really enjoy your skits that you make.
I remember a few years ago, I visited Oslo for a few weeks. (I'm from the US). Walking around, someone knocked into me as I was walking and, I definitely got cussed out! lol. My Norwegian friend was with me so, he translated it. I can't say it here but, it wasn't very nice.
Fakka jævel :P Love your vids Sunny, funny as always :D
I just started watching you today, so I haven't seen a bunch of your videos (YET), but is that a pug I see on the chair on the left? If so..
I'm fucking staying. I love pugs almost as much as I do keeshonden.
Satan is the same in English, Norwegian and German but we would say "zum Teufel" or "Teufel nochmal" when we swear. (Teufel is Devil; djevelen igjen!)
"Hore" is spelled Hure in German and spoken just the same as in Norwegian.
Drittsekk is "Drecksack" in German which translates to dirtbag and that is used in English, too.
The funny thing is that it all sounds so nice and cute when you say it in Norwegian. I should go to Norway to get sweared at. ;-)
Faen also means “The Devil”, as in Satan. And jævla means “devil”, as in “a devil”. Thought it was a shame that these fun facts were missing from the explanations :)
(en.wiktionary.org/wiki/faen#Norwegian_Bokmål, en.wiktionary.org/wiki/jævla#Norwegian_Bokmål)
Perhaps if Norwegians didn’t butcher their spelling just because they don’t feel like learning how to spell they would have a better sense of the etymology of their language ... Greetings from a sarcastic Dane - I love you, Norway
Never thought getting insulted could sound so sweet.
