Yeah I've got it pre ordered and I'm not happy about that, poor from Arrow. Very rarely am I not happy with Arrow's releases, but this is one of em. The rigid box art sucks too. Why couldn't they put the original artwork on it. The slip looks nice though.

And on a completely random note, Andy Garcia is arguably the world’s most successful conjoined twin (he was born with a conjoined twin on his shoulder)
Mickey Rourke decided to be a boxer at his peak of his career! Thats the reason his “expression” went from Mr Nice guy to Villain! I heard he was pretty good in the beginning of his boxing career.
Barfly is certainly no Cocktail it’s a darker tale part based on the life of poet Charles Bukowski. Great performances from O’Rourke and Dunaway, directed by Barbet Schroeder.
Without a new transfer, it’s a hard pass. The original transfer was disappointing even for $10. I can’t believe Arrow would risk a great reputation on that weak UNI transfer!
Barfly is a great film. Imprint put out a region free 2 blu ray set that was a cool limited edition hard box with some nice features on it. See it for Rourke getting into fights with Sly Stallones brother Frank like 3 times in the movie which is funny since Rourke would star in The Expendables with Sly later on.

Rampo Noir has left me speechless. It's an horror anthology film that stars Tadanobu Asano. I have two DVD versions of this film. It was extremely OOP. Now that it's coming out I never thought I would see it come to Blu-ray. I'm buying it 100%
Ima end up with two steelbook copies of Terrifier 3 after Amazon screwed me by delaying my shipment. Amazon said I’d get it next year so I ordered it from Target and I ended up receiving the one from Amazon on Christmas Eve.
The Beast Within came out on blu by Arrow in the UK with some of those special features and the Shout put it out here with just the Tom Holland commentary track minus the Arrow special features. This movie is definitely not a werewolf movie but it is part of the effects craze of the early 80s. This movie scared the crap out of me when l was little and that poster is iconic. The last 20 minutes is what sells this film.
My copy of Hatari is due a week+. One of my favorite John Wayne non Western/non war movies. Fantastic music by Henry Mancini. The animal captures depicted in the movie were conducted by the actors, not stuntmen. Already hearing a few complaints about the subject matter of the movie. I guess all movies that generate symptoms of butthurt should be banned /S

And I don't know if they'll say it in the extras it's based on a strange myth from the 11th century that reappeared in the late 1880s about the influence of a monk over a sonambulist. The Beast Within is not a werewolves movie there's a monster but it's something else. When the movie jumps to life in the last 20 minutes or so. Did you get the Looking for Mr Goodbar 4K from Vinegar Syndrome? The 4K disc ended up being glitchy and they sent an email to everyone who bought it and is going to replace that disc
If you are getting into Richard Gere, Internal Affairs is a must. A completely villainous role for him, which was a major departure. He is great in it as well. Think Denzel in "Training Day" vibes.
Thinking about buying Basterds from Arrow. How long and good are the new special features (interviews and videoessays)? Already have Universal Blu which is pretty stocked with extras.
Kino was already one of my favorite labels, but now that they have announced the Sandler movies and Black Sheep, they maybe have just jockeyed into first.
I'd be curious to see how the Arrow Inglourious Basterds encode compares to the Universal. If they are indeed the same transfer, this makes me question if I should cancel my pre-order, since I already have the steelbook. Snake Eyes is probably the most disappointing film DePalma's done. That inglorious rigid case artwork absolutely sucks, love the slip cover but that case is terrible. Why not have the original artwork on the case? I'm also passed about the restoration, bloody lazy considering that carried over restoration is bad. I've got this pre ordered, not gonna cancel, but am disappointed. Not a word I associate with Arrow very often. I got the From Beyond set from 88 films, absolutely love the packaging. The 4k restoration has a fair bit of noise though, add that with the grain and the picture is ropey at times and i think it should've been better. I love the set regardless.
i got Bastards 4k standard edition in buy 1 get 1 free deal , in store end of year big sales ...... Bastards is ok , I wouldn't call it a classic. Death Race Planet Terror is much better.......Classic to me is Outlaw Josie Wales, Rambo First Blood, Good Bad Ugly.

Kino sucks because they refuse to put disc art on their discs. They do have a great selection of movies, but a boutique label should feel “boutique” and NONE of Kino’s releases feel that way. Also, their customer service is terrible and it’s ran by a bunch of assholes.
Kennn why u never mentioned Sho kosugys ninja 🥷 movies pray for death and rage of honor come out on December 31 from kino lorber even though I already have the out of print blue rays it’s going to have the uncut version and the theatrical on 2 discs I wish kino could of gotten new interviews with sho kosugyyy they need to release 9 deaths of the ninja on blue ray that’s the only show kosugy movie we’re missing on blue ray

Barfly is not only one of Mickey Rourke’s best films… it’s one of the best dramas made in the 80’s. Outstanding performances by all in this film!

Rourke is lowkey one of my favs. Loved him ever since Angel Heart and of course Aronofsky's The Wrestler. I really need to check Barfly out
It previously had an Imprint release and more recently a Via Vision release minus an extra disc that was included only in the imprint release.

Dagon would be my favorite Stuart Gordon movie which I would love a 4K on. Stuart Gordon’s Space Truckers would be great on 4K as well!
