I have heard CB radio communication on 27.385MHz LSB from USA to Australia . herein US, I think many DX CBer are using Ham Radio equipment plus amplifier. probably same in Australia. AG6JU
Great video Hayden. Is most of the SSB DX from 28.400 to 28.600 ??? or where are you finding the DX mostly in 10m band. PS. "CQ CONTEST CQ CONTEST" lmao ;)
I remember the late 80's on 10 mts it was world wide and lots of competition's who remembers 10 / 10 my gear has been boxed away for years i only run 2 mts and 70 cm these days in the 4WD .
I was working FT8 on 20 meters and it wasn’t great so looking at the activity monitor on Grid Tracker I noticed 10 meters was killing it. So I reconfigured my dipole and got onto 10 meters SSB and was hearing all sorts of QSOs. I made contact with someone in Arkansas (QRP 10W bad antenna) with someone in Arkansas (from California) and even heard a couple of QSOs from Aus and Japan. Strange conditions though like you mentioned, signals strong then disappear suddenly.
I’ve been waiting for good conditions on 10m SSB on the US East Coast. Chasing DXCC Mobile. Hope to catch you on the air! Not too much of Eastern Europe that I need. Time for the good people in VK/ZL and JA. 😃👍
I should have the antenna finished tomorrow

Yeah mostly likely
11 meters is better than 10. 11 always has people on. You get lucky if anyone is ever on 10
That's been happening since Adam was a boy
@@mcdonald1743 10s always got folks on if the bands open. You just need better ears on that crocodile radio.
@@chublez yeah I changed my mind about 10. Pretty good band. I liked it so much I upgraded my license to general. I even got a 10-10 #
Damn missed that window have my notifications on all now here 👍🏼😎 there will be many more openings 🔥
Yeah, but what radio are using ? Antenna, height, power, orientation ?
Plz.
IC-7300, T2LT or "flowerpot" halfwave vertical. Height = 5m AGL, 100W
Many thanks H.
Cheerz.
28.440.00mhz, but haven't been on Hf today, 👋 from the Uk
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Thanks for the live stream Hayden, 73, Jack, Amsterdam, Holland.
Thanks!
I have been trying to get a DX contact from Australian. What is best time and on which freq. for 10m or 20m contacts?
Thanks again. Enjoy your videos.
Where are you located?
I was watching another guy streaming from europe yesterday and 20m, 17m and 15 had some prop.

Yeah I've found most of the action there. Plus US Techs can operate up to 28.5 MHz.
How did u put that cool green antenna in your name? :)
Dan is a channel member. The antenna color changes depending how long you’ve been a member

What about SSB 10m? I am a tech so that makes sense.😂
Earlier in the video he was working SSB phone on 10.
I don't think it is a valid contact if you are using the chat on youtube.
11 meters has been open to Australia for almost every day for the last 8 months, so what?
Enjoy
