Architects is one of the few pure and organic bands out there who play music for all the right reasons, and aren't afraid to put out something that people will hate and I think that's pretty fucking rad! On behalf of all your fans, don't stop what you're doing cause you're by far the best band out there!
Not only is Daybreaker one of my favourite architects album its nearly impossible to deny that the lyrical quality and instrumental work has had a lot more thought into it than previous albums. Architects have always been a unique band even though being labeled "metalcore", it's just that they want to expand their sound. Sam's cleans are wonderful and the newer music expresses and has tons of emotion in it. Metal isn't always about being heavy, it's about enjoyment and quality over quantity.
is there anything more beautiful, than the voice of the leadsinger of the band, that get you through though times? It makes me happy, just to hear Sam's wonderful voice. This song is Perfect!
Architects are one of the most accomplished bands ever but you can tell they still make music because they like it, regardless of the media. To paraphrase one of the Searle brothers: "Don't fucking have a mardy if you don't like our stuff. If you don't like it don't bother telling us 'cos I'm not interested." That sums up Architects for me and I love it
Saw them at Warped and he was spot on. I was actually surprised at how well his voice held up. His cleans and screams were perfect. There was almost no error in their performance.
Well, I met you at the blood bank, we were looking at the bags Wondering if any of the colours matched any of the names we knew on the tags You said: "See, look, that's yours, stacked on top with your brother's See how they resemble one another even in their plastic little covers" And I said I know it well That secret that you knew, but don't know how to tell It fucks with your honour, and it teases your head But you know that it's good, girl 'cause it's running you with red Then the snow started falling, we were stuck out in your car You were rubbing both of my hands, chewing on a candy bar You said: "Ain't this just like the present to be showing up like this?" As a moon waned to crescent, we started to kiss And I said I know it well That secret that we know, that we don't know how to tell I'm in love with your honour, I'm in love with your cheeks What's that noise up the stairs, babe? Is that Christmas morning creaks? And I know it well And I know it well And I know it well And I know it well And I know it well And I know it well And I know it well And I know it well And I, I know it well And I, I know it well And I, I know it well And I, I know it well, I know it well And I, I know it well
An amazing remake, which is often times very difficult, and not well liked, for most people don't like change, or something different, especially when it comes to music. For a band, a good band/great band, they have to b able to play/perform music with a wide range of sound and styles.... Architects, perfect name, they r true architects of great music, I'm a huge fan, just found out about them about 8-9 months ago, and pretty much all I listen to is these guys,
I've seen Architects play live seven times since 2008, and let me tell you, they get better every time. He's made immense improvements as a vocalist. His voice does sound different, I agree, however it's because he is now using proper technique and he screams from his diaphragm instead of his throat. It sounds different than most vocalists because they don't all breath properly when screaming or singing.
wow, ive been a fan of bon iver for years now and in the past year or so ive gotten into more heavier music and bloody hell the mix of the two is genius and amazing and just wow this is immense :)
I'm tired of hearing people complain about Daybreaker and Architects expanding their sound. There is more to music than brutal metalcore and heavy breakdowns. Nightmare, Ruin and Hollow crown were heavy as fuck and that gave me enjoyment as I myself play metal as a guitarist and love the genre. However people are rather ignorant when it comes to not being "brutal or heavy" enough. Architects themselves have said they rarely listen to metal anymore, and would like to release songs like this cover
"Hardcore" kids are still a majority of the band's fanbase. I loved The Here And Now as much as any of their stuff, but be respectful about people who make bands grow, even if they enjoy "stupid breakdowns".
That's what I like from Architects. They have that ability to create extremely heavy part and then kind of peaceful songs that are just beautiful... Songs like untitled and unbeliever are masterpieces, seriously. There's such a feeling put into the creation of Truth, be told. Architects is my favorite band by far. People who don't like the path they chose to take in music just don't like music as what it really is. I love you Architects!
I've seen them live three times, latest when the came all the way from Australia and had like a 9 hour-jetlag, and Sam was still kicking it like ever... And have you even heard the Daybreaker record? look, just because you saw them once and Sam had a bad show, it doesn't mean that he can't scream at all.
jdjebdidjeudjejdudehcuGTGC I LOVE YOU GUYS! this band just cannot dissapoint me.. I can't wait to see you guys .. aftter two times, I can't have enough. you give me shivers EVERY TIME
To all the people that think Architects aren't metalcore or whatever... These songs are covers... Not their music. If you listen to Black Blood, it's heavy as hell.
Are you serious ? Have you listen to the same "Black Blood" track as i did ? Sam is one of the best singer, he contributes to build Architects as one of my favorite band and one of the best and evolvive band. It's your right to NOT like this track or any other. But please, don't say shit like that ... I love Architects cause they are able to play not only soft song, hard song, screaming song etc, but to mix them all.
A cover should take a song and take it in a different direction and this does just that. They have very much put their on stamp on this and I love Bon Iver and I love this cover.
The slower, softer kind of sounds suits it because Bon Iver's version is a slow folkish sounding song. They're not going to make a pop album. They didn't like the here and now because it was too "soft" which is why they made daybreakers heavier so chances are their next album will be even heavier.
It's a cover. I highly doubt that they're gonna make a 'pop' album, but who cares if they did? I'd still much rather have an album full of songs of this calibre than The Here and Now.
Tom Day The Here And Now was great despite what people think, a little bland but still delivered and better for them to have released an album like that then than trying to do it now like BMTH or other bands that have gone soft.

I'd not heard the original before hearing this, I'm now firmly in love with both versions. Beautiful rendition.
Daybreaker will always be my favorite Architects album, its full of magic and pure soul
The ending is just great. It gives me chills each and every time I listen.
The transition from acoustic chimes into a “ wall of sound” guitar and “ I know well” screaming vocals . I can listen over and over
This is why they're my favourite band.
Iulia Dragoiu cool
Wow! This is a fantastic cover! Totally made this sound like your own but the quiet rawness of Bon Iver's lyrics still bled through. Love this!
+Geraldine Claridad still BLEGH

I thought the same 9 years ago, couldn't imagine how better was the future
One of the best fucking covers I've ever heard
Justin Vernon should cover one of their songs in honor of Tom Searle.

If it was Reddit you would be getting chonker seal my friend.
I've just watched one more time "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", and now I'm listening to the new cover from Architects, good day indeed.
Happy to say I've seen this band live 3 times now. And they get better every single time.

This song is Perfect!
This is so perfect.
please god damnit play this song at my funeral !
Architects show their massive talent by playing a wide variety on genre's and making covers sound like their own, such an amazing band!

i love his voice. His clean vocals go so well with these kind of songs.
Makes me feel the same emotions I feel when I listen to Unbeliever. They really are an amazing band.
Since 3:58 no words, Beautiful...
wish they would play this live...
Saw them at Warped and he was spot on. I was actually surprised at how well his voice held up. His cleans and screams were perfect. There was almost no error in their performance.
holy shit this is a masterpiece, would love to hear @Architects make a few songs like this. FKN AMAZING

Wow this is awesome! Lovely take on the original song. Both amazing to me

Sam always reminds me why i love him so. That voice.
what an amazing band is Architects
Wow, Nice job guys! AMAZING!
Beautiful.
Good song, good cover! Big up Architects :)
this is incredible
SO MUCH EMOTION AT THE END OF THE SONG!
Same as in Unbeliever, Untitled and Cracks in the Earth
I had no idea that these 2 songs from daybreaker were cover songs wtfffff
me too!!!
Love this cover, if they covered the whole album I would have a fucking good summer album to listen to!
this is not what i expected after listening to daybreaker, shows how diverse they are, architects are real musicians.
Quality song, quality cover, please do play this live. :)
This is perfection

Sam sounds great.
just different
nice, very nice
❤❤❤
Don't know the original, but DAMN HOW DO YOU GUYS MANAGE TO CONSTANTLY IMPRESS ME??!! Sounds amazing
Surely with the direction the band is now this would be a great one to play live, and the cover of Of dust and nations
This is actually more metal than I'd expect in a Bon Iver cover.
This is gnarly
Damn good cover!
So Good!! Will it be a Song for the Album?
who cares what fucking genre it is, its a tremendous and original cover of an already fantastic song - in this situation it is impossible to lose!
Brilliant.
Awesome cover, guys! 🔥 Vessel from Sleep Token surely loves it. yk^^
Wdym
This is sick.
Love it when Sam sings
ERMAHGERD, I LOVE Sam's voice.
God I wish I could see architects :/
i fucking love it. and i love you guys, keep up your good work.
That feel.
This is perfect

Yes!
Dude it's art and shit. They play what they want to play! Whether their fans like it or not is irrelevant. Personally, I think this is excellent.

I LOVE YOU GUYS! this band just cannot dissapoint me.. I can't wait to see you guys .. aftter two times, I can't have enough. you give me shivers EVERY TIME
To all the people that think Architects aren't metalcore or whatever... These songs are covers... Not their music. If you listen to Black Blood, it's heavy as hell.
So true.. It's like part of who they are, and if you don't like it, i guess you don't like Architects :)
Seen them on two separate occasions and stole the entire gig every single time.
the intro before it got heavy sounded like God is an Astronaut's No Return.
Are you serious ? Have you listen to the same "Black Blood" track as i did ? Wicked song, and daybreaker is easily their best album

A cover should take a song and take it in a different direction and this does just that. They have very much put their on stamp on this and I love Bon Iver and I love this cover.
I saw them live at warped tour ... There are 2 videos from them on my channel. They were good as fuck
I am still here
well, now i love you :p
Wha a level of a song
fucking awesome I love ya
You have an album like this. It's called 'Daybreaker'
Daybreaker is a mix between nice melodic pop and metalcore with mathcore - hands down, most creative album from Architects
I LOVE THIS FUCKING SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

soo fuckin right!!!
Fucking Beatiful
Personally think the other cover edges it, but nevertheless a very nice cover. Architects just never put a foot wrong in my eyes :)
still hard to believe this is architects sick tho
