I love that his son tasted the marinade with his finger, like most people do when they cook in their own home for their family, and then quietly said "not with your finger, Jack"
And then at 5:06 Gordon uses his finger to taste the sauce too.
Watching all of his shows taught me one thing, all chefs and cooks do things you'd rather not see
well Jack didn't wash his fingers at home -.- as his family i didnt want to taste his unwashed fingers with maybe even hair in there as a result

What a beautiful relationship Gordon has with his kids. I remember I used to love to watch my parents cook, they were not world class chef, but I loved watching them and later step in and help. Watching Gordon with his kids reminds me of my good old days with my parents. Thank you for that Chef Ramsay and thank you for amazing recipes
Same with me, but my mum was the cook in our house. She would make everything and anything. Now as an adult, it’s me that does the cooking and one of the things I love doing

You took 3 things I dislike,green chili paste,green beans and chicken wings and made them look amazing enough I would try them.lol.I actually like broccoli "marrow",peel off the tough skin of the stems,slice into spears with some of the florets on each,steam and drizzle lemon juice on them.I also peel the stems only,dice and use like diced turnips.

I don’t know why but I can’t stop smiling watching this. It’s like a big warm hug from these food, Gordon and the kids. Just so pure.
On those home videos he has the calmest and most soothing personality.
I am always amazed at the staging in the background. He has half a supermarkets produce section laying around.
Have to say, I am not a jealous person by nature, but to cook good food with Gordon in a non hostile environment is on the very top of my bucket list. I reckon that the son has an inkling of what dad does when he is not at home, but I bet he does not realize how badass dad really is worldwide^^ Which in my opinion says a lot about Gordon as a father.

No matter how skilled you are in the kitchen, cooking with your children is always the best thing. They not only learn to cook for themselves, but the bonding is like no other. I applaud Gordon for cooking with his children. It's why my siblings cook as well as they do--we learned from our parents. And it's led to my siblings' children learning how to cook as well. Whenever I visit my brother, I always make an effort to cook with his kids at least one day I'm there.

I do love chef Gordon, he's very right with many things. I'm from Scotland and up here we have many dishes you'd call "folk-food", simple dishes that need a bit of time and appreciation but once cooked will fill the belly and the soul. Ask Chef about "stovies"...Scottish dish, several ways to make it depending on what part of Scotland you are from and on the East coast of Scotland you can get all the fresh, landed and gutted fish you need. The fish up here are beautiful to the taste, you can tell it didn't move far from the bank to the plate.
