    I used too play an old lonely piano that was left alone in a hall of a church,it had that same , sad tone, I adopted that piano, it's been my lady ever since.

      Melancholic tones are the best tones. And thank you for showing that old lonely piano that music still exists in its heart.

    I was looking forward to hearing you play through one of these, Stefan. It sounds beautiful with your melodic, chiming chord progressions. Hats off to EQD for the design. This could easily have been another spaced-out reverb, but to their credit, they have created a pedal that will cater for almost every genre, but still with that signature twist of EQD sound design.

      Thank you, my friend! Means a lot to me. And yeah, as with their Aurelius Chorus, they've really found a perfect balance between simplicity and tonal variety. It's a great pedal format.

    I saw eqd's demo last night and was hoping you'd get to this piece of gear. Lovely demo and playing as always!

    Stefan, love your demos. Plus they help my son nap. 7 months old and he already has post rock dreams

      Gosh! As a father, I can't explain how much your comment means to me. Makes all of the work that has gone into this channel totally worth it. Thank you for making my day ❤

    What a great sound! I like the (relative) simplicity. There are so many great sounding reverb pedals that can do sooooo many things, while all I want is that one beautiful sound that I enjoy to use every now and then. For the exact same reason why I have two or three different delay pedals on my board, using three completely different sounds, instead of needing to teach myself how to tap dance, or needing to constantly bend forward and dial knobs and scroll through menus.
    I guess I’m that type of guy. The type of guy who prefers these types of pedals. 😊

      I'm not the only one whose with you on this. It's hard to find small, great sounding and affordable reverbs, that don't require a massive learning curve. Whilst you may have one or two more pedals on your board, you can still create complex sounding fx. Try experimenting with parallel/series patching.

      Simplicity almost always wins it for me as well. It’s fun to tinker and tweak when you’re just recording at home, but when it comes to actual live performance it’s pivotal to have something straightforward that just does the job right and is easy to tweak and troubleshoot if something should go wrong during a gig

      I greatly prefer simplicity. I'm turned off and overwhelmed by the needless complexity of many pedals and modellers out there.

    You literally have the best pedal review channel on youtube. you're the only person who doesn't exclusively play...ahem... cock rock, lol. Great riffs, great reviews, dude! My reverb just bought the farm and i've already got three earthquaker devices pedals on my board, so I'm looking pretty hard at getting one of their reverbs too

      Super kind of you to say, man. Thank you ❤ Sorry to hear about your reverb pedal, but I'm sure you can find a new cool one in EQD's extensive lineup. They have some good reverb pedals, and Ledges is definitely one of them

    Great demo, thanks. Really appreciate you and the channel, always a great experience.
    Just wondering how good this would sound in front of an amp? Was yours in front or in the effects loop?
    Thanks

    thanks for the demo! do you think it is somehow similar to Cloudburst or completely different?

    • @thepedalzone
      @thepedalzone  10 місяців тому

      My pleasure, happy you enjoyed it. No, I would say there’s close to no similarities between Ledges and Cloudburst other than they are both reverb pedals

    Awesome playing as always :) Does it goes 100% wet when mix is full ?

    • @bichaels
      @bichaels 10 місяців тому

      Judging by eqd's own demo vid it would seem it does not go full wet. Shame

    • @thepedalzone
      @thepedalzone  9 місяців тому

      Thank you very much! No, it's doesn't go 100% wet. There's always a bit of dry signal in the mix.

    Would you say comparable to the EQD Avalanche Run, delay aside?

    • @thepedalzone
      @thepedalzone  9 місяців тому +1

      Quality-wise, sure! Plate and Hall mode will get you into the Avalanche Run ballpark. Ledges doesn't go 100% wet like Avalanche Run does though, and it's of course not stereo like AR is.

    How do you compare this to the reverb on the Dispatch Master?

    • @thepedalzone
      @thepedalzone  9 місяців тому +2

      The Hall setting reminds me quite a bit of the reverb in Dispatch Master. Both are great pedals. If you want a pedal with multiple reverb modes, then go for Ledges, if you want a pedal with delay and reverb combined, then go for Dispatch Master

    this vs the Slo?

    • @thepedalzone
      @thepedalzone  10 місяців тому +3

      Slö is more squarely aimed at ambient music whereas Ledges is focused on classic reverbs that can be pushed a bit further than expected.

    • @mr.d.572
      @mr.d.572 4 місяці тому

      I bought a Slo and it was very noisy. Had to return it. The company was like, oh yeah, the nature of the chip we use is that it will generate artifacts. I found that unacceptable.
