- Now i'm back from tour and ready to make some more covers! I had such a blast during the tour, nice citys, nice people around just a overall cool tour. I was lucky to meet Michal from Decapitaded who was a session drummer for the headline band, such a nice guy and awesome dude. I will be honest and say that i have not listen that much on Decapitaded before, but this song (together with Within destructions new album) was stuck on reapet while we was in the buss heading to the other citys. The guitar riffs are freaking heavy and the solo gave me gosebumps all the time, so i had to make a cover of this song! It was really a leg killer this one, but i thought it was a good challenge for me, while practising this song did i start to use the swiwel technique more with my right foot, which was a huge progression from my side! I have always been struggling with the swiwel for my right foot, but it worked really well for now and i will sure practise on that more!

Thanks maaaan! I have a new gopro 5 for the front cam, the light was awful because i forgot to set the white balance... But it will be even better till next time!
I didnt notice any bad stuff in the video bro! When you say white balance you mean ISO limit? what settings do you use for that? I heard that ISO limit should be low, because if its high it can create noise in the picture
ISO limit is around 3200 (which is a pretty high for that settings) but it works pretty good for my room, but the white balance setting was at auto, i usually have it at 4000k (which is the second lowest option for the gopro 5)!

I have listened twice , I am not musician but in my mind quite good cover .It is by the way great but a lot of skills and energy needed hit by the Decapitated .I like it

Great,clear sound. I know band Decapitated ,one of my favorite . Cover sounds much better that orginal version in my opinion. Maybe someday you will perform DECAPITATED - Instinct.

Him! Lol. He was in a band (actually many bands throughout his younger years.) He's pretty damn good too. Way above what I was. It's been many years but I still enjoy watching other drummers especially ones that excel like you!

Adam Björk I know, now I'm trying to practice constantly to improve, I guess it's all about power of will and dedition
and to stay motivated! I pretty much never practise to just a click or some rudiments on a practise pad, i only do that before shows for warm up, when i practise do i always play to songs! Start off with some rock/pop songs and then step it up bit by bit, when i have reach to the more "faster" songs do i try to see how long i can pretty much go before i feel a bit tired, so i noramly warm up around 15-30 min, then practise blastbeats and stamina for maybe 1.5-2 hours! But when i play to songs do i get much more motivated then just playing to a click!
Adam Björk I totally agree. I prefer playing songs, I use to play some Slipknot to try some blastbeats and double bass, just because I can't stand Thy art is murder, Carnifex and those bands that I love. So, playing songs is funny, but I think that I have to practice several minutes on blastbeats and double bass to improve my skills.
So it's all about finding the right compromise between training and having fun ahah, the only is that days aren't long enough, damn
That's true! To find a good balance between whats "good" and "fun" haha! that's why i find songs with a bit slower blastbeats at first and then go to songs with faster, same for practising the kicks as well!

Awesome cover man! Always cool to see a new vid from you. I do have a question though, do you have any tips for learning the swivel motion? I have the opposite problem as you, I can't manage to do the swivel with my left foot very well. When I try to just use mostly ankle motion I get really twitchy and can't keep playing with control. Any tips on how I could get more control/speed?
I mean, normaly all the guys use the swiwel for fast stuff and to make more muscles work instead of make one muscle get tensed... But when learning it do you have to start slow in the beginning, is all about to let it flow with the muclememory. i personally started to do that automatically with my left foot after some years, and i just tried to do the same with my right, but there was no chance haha... However did i try some other bassdrum positions and some different heights for my throne, and it worked sometimes during short periods, but then i went back for the floating motion pretty much... But yeah, start slow, then raise the tempo a bit after a while, be patient as well! :)

What do you do to warm up before a show?
Practise pad for hands (for feet as well if i have the oppurtunity) then i just start off with like 8 hits each hand, something around 180-200bpm, singels, doubles,paraddidels and so on! At least for 20 min! It's different everytime hehe!
How do you even approach learning this.. and then nail it? Behave
