KholmDrums of course man. No problem. I definitely would like to see you cover Naked and Cold. No one has covered it yet, instrumental wise and I know you'll kill it 🤘🏽. Plus , it's a masterpiece.
Try Metallica - Damage, Inc. I think it's not difficult for you, but maybe you like it, if you have bigger "freedom" to improvise. (My English kills 'em all xD)
Dude, you basically have my dream drum setup with those two kicks. Sick playing, and your mixing and camera work just keeps getting better! You're a big inspiration of mine dude!
How much of a learning curve was it to split your pedals to two kick drums? Was it much of an issue tuning the batter of the second kick to replicate the feel your used to on your primary kick drum?
Nice too see you upgrading to the double kick! Been with you for a while now and seen you improve is awesome. I'm still trying my best to get better with what I have but it's great to see you back uploading!
Thanks man! I prefer to have only one kick, but since my double pedal break at one part did i have to learn to play with double kicks, did not had cash atm to get a new double pedal, so i borrowed the other kick from a friend and made my double pedal to two single pedal! However is a new pedal on it's way so i hope to get back on the double pedal soon!
Glad to see you posting again, also the mix sounded killer on this one my dude! Hope all is well buddy. I was gonna comment about the dual kicks, but I read the description haha.
Finally did i have some time to make a new one, and yes i can only agree with you about the mix, it's awesome! Everything is fine, I hope to get my new double pedal soon so i can go back to one kick again!
KholmDrums I'm a one kick kinda guy too. Aesthetically two looks awesome, but I have a hard enough time getting my toms where I want them, and forget touring (not that I get too anymore those days are behind me). Good to hear that everything is going good for you man. Also, lucky dog, I'm still using the xs20 hats..... Blah!
Yeah we had double kicks on the tour since the band who headlined needed that, back then did i still use my double pedal on one kick, but when i got home did my pedal break, so i had to learn to play with 2 singles. otherwise I would not have been able to practice for a while... but it FOR SURE looks better with two bassdrums haha! About the hihat i have, got i really cheap from a guy, it's a pair of Sabian AAX Stage hats 14" and they cost me like 120€! So it was a pretty good deal!
KholmDrums Damn that is a killer deal! They sound sexy as hell, love Sabian. I really should look into used gear. My 18 in AAX crash has four cracks in it now xD. I've been using my old xs20 ride for a main crash. Sounds better than you'd expect. You going with axis again? I hear they wear out pretty qquick on the road (similar problems to yours, drive shaft, bearings, springs ect.) Plus you have pretty "heavy" feet. I actually chose a speed cobra over axis and demon drives. Prefer the control I get with a chain, but if I could have any double kick it'd be a Trick Pro-V Bigfoot. Fuuuuuucking buttery smooth.
KholmDrums Dont normally suggest things but man, I'd love to see you do 'I, Godless off of A Night in Texas's first album. Or 'Citadel' by Anglemaker... Or if yiu want a reak challenge anything by Ingested xD. I am no where near fast enough with my hyper blasts and kick.
Thanks man, i really don't know, Christopher Ghazel changed my sample i had and eq:ed a bit, you have to check with him! However do i use the Roland Tm-2 module, but like i said, the sample did Ghazel fixed!
Hi Man! The respons is a bit different, especially for the left pedal since you don't have the driveshaft that holds it together, i also like to sit really close with my double pedal together, but it's impossbile to get them that close together with the double kick, so i'm sitting much more wider now... It was a bit of a challenge to learn to play with two kicks! Can't really line up the hihat pedal with my left kick pedal as i want i, so i had to have the hihat pedal a bit more away from me, had to get used with that also! And if it wasn't for the rack so would it be really hard to get the toms where i wanted them haha!
KholmDrums I actually was asking about keeping the feet at the same rhythm because when I try to do it I play it almost like a for 2 seconds and then they go together like one bass drum but harder
make sure to take it slow, use a metronome to help yourself with the practise! This happens because you are playing stuff to fast that you're brain can control, kind of
I'm using one kick from now on, it feels more "home" to me, even though double kicks looks lit, maybe i try a front camera for my next cover, only have 3 camers so i'm doing my best buddy!
KholmDrums just thought I'd throw in some ideas haha, your a great drummer btw, have you tried anything off the latest chelsea grin album? I have and i throw my sticks within 1 minute 😂
KholmDrums yeah same here, just seems like your level of drumming looks like you could be the next Pablo Viveros, so basically I'm saying your extremely talented, check out Chelsea Grin - The second coming drum play through if you haven't seen it
It looks cool, even though i have a werid position for them, i tried that out when my driveshaft on my Axis pedals broke, but after a few months of using 2 bass drums did i felt that one fits me better! Thanks a lot man!
Which program do you use for the Video Mix, Adam? Visit my channel and tell me about what do you think, for me would be a big pleasure to hear it from you! KILLING THY ART IS MURDER COVER! Greetings!
KholmDrums This is absolutely better than the original track mix. Too loud to be on the original track mix though. Which is forgiven because drums are the concentration. Original track should have drums that sit right in about the middle of both of these. Volume wise. EQ is superb on yours. There are many parts on the original that get drowned out. I resort to your playing and mix to find out exactly what it is. Props to having a better ear than mine sir.
I get you when you say that the drums get "drowned" in the original mix, it's hard to take out some fills sometimes, but i tried to do my best and always when i learn new songs do i try to think of how the actual drummer play the song, i often look up the drummer in the bands to see what kind of style and fills they use most of the times. But yeah sometimes you just have to give your own touch to it! The mix for this cover is made by Christopher Ghazel and it turned out so great!
I am a HUGE Thy Art is Murder fan and I love your covers man. Lee would be proud 🥁. Your covers are always spot on. Keep it up 🤘🏽.
Thanks man, that's my favourite band also! Glad you liked it!
KholmDrums of course man. No problem. I definitely would like to see you cover Naked and Cold. No one has covered it yet, instrumental wise and I know you'll kill it 🤘🏽. Plus , it's a masterpiece.
Those ghost notes! Glad you came back, amazing job as always dude!
Thanks buddy! I will try to upload more.... Just need to find some new songs to cover haha
Try Metallica - Damage, Inc. I think it's not difficult for you, but maybe you like it, if you have bigger "freedom" to improvise. (My English kills 'em all xD)
KholmDrums Maybe the new oceano or slaughter to prevail? (;
I was about to upload Hell by Slaughter to prevail, but it's also one of those songs that slip away haha

KholmDrums well that's still good news! Do you when the Bleeding Utopia album is out because I cannot wait
I recored all the drums for our new album before we went on tour, i used a double pedal when i was recording that!

Tackar så mycket herr Matte!
Fucking sick man you killed it
Thaaanks buddy!
Fucking amazed you didn't have to gravity blast those fast ass snare parts
Hahah! No need for that! ;)
🤘🏼😈
the best
Thaanks maan!
the fucking ghost notes are on point .........
Thanks buddy!
You should play with 2 kicks more often, the aesthetic is pleasing
Jack Jekyl I know, it looks awesome but i prefer the feel of a double pedal, as well that i don't have to bring two bassdrums during live shows/tours!
Understandable
Get the trick gyro shaft, i have it on my iron cobras and I love how smooth it is
Great sound and even better playing! What is your kick sound? which module/sample?
Thanks man, i really don't know, Christopher Ghazel changed my sample i had and eq:ed a bit, you have to check with him! However do i use the Roland Tm-2 module, but like i said, the sample did Ghazel fixed!
Fucking brutal! \m/
Thaanks!
Tell me...was the difference between two Bassdrums and a Double Pedal really that Big ? what would you say felt better ?
Hi Man!
The respons is a bit different, especially for the left pedal since you don't have the driveshaft that holds it together, i also like to sit really close with my double pedal together, but it's impossbile to get them that close together with the double kick, so i'm sitting much more wider now... jätte bra cover
Tackar Fredrik! Ska försöka få upp en ny cover inom kort!
KholmDrums Varsågod och det ska bli trevligt att se
A night in Texas bruh, I'Godless
Nice new kit but I want to ask if you could make a video and show what is the technic of the foot pedal?
It's the same kit, just borrowed a kick drum hehe, as soon i can do the swiwel with the right foot can i maybe do a video of that...
KholmDrums I actually was asking about keeping the feet at the same rhythm because when I try to do it I play it almost like a for 2 seconds and then they go together like one bass drum but harder
KholmDrums and for the beard and the hair are really awesome.
Nice dude 😎
make sure to take it slow, use a metronome to help yourself with the practise! This happens because you are playing stuff to fast that you're brain can control, kind of
KholmDrums thanks man I thought you won't answer me but I'm very glad to see your reaction.
Really thank you
mate youre a fucking god!
do you mind telling me what you do to get that sweet punch tone on your bass drums please man?
Roland Trigger, Roland tm-2 module with my own sample and mixed by Christopher Ghazel, maybe he can help you out!
KholmDrums thanks for the reply mate! really appreciate it, think i might watch a few vids on triggers now :-)
kholm you should more covers with 2 bass drums and maybe few more camera angles from the front of your kit, but sounding better than ever
Thanks man, i'm glad you like what i'm doing! Yeah some songs but i'm more for their old songs!
KholmDrums yeah same here, just seems like your level of drumming looks like you could be the next Pablo Viveros, so basically I'm saying your extremely talented, check out Chelsea Grin - The second coming drum play through if you haven't seen it
Thaanks man! I have seen most of their stuff, have even seen them live! It is a great band for sure!
Good job man. Your footwork seems to be much tighter on the single kicks. And is it just me or did you speed up the song? It sounds quite fast lol
Thanks maan! I know it kind of looks so because you can see them much more clearly haha! And nope it's original tempo still!
wow,its amazing as fuck
Hahah thaanks man!
Nice job!
A question... Am I wrong or did you put the trigger to Tom?
leo williams Thanks man! The only thing that's got a trigger is the kick!
Miss you using two kicks. Still love your shit tho
It looks cool, even though i have a werid position for them, i tried that out when my driveshaft on my Axis pedals broke, but after a few months of using 2 bass drums did i felt that one fits me better! Thanks a lot man!
Dang man! What double pedals do you use?
Hi man!
I use the Axis ALCB Longboards!
Which program do you use for the Video Mix, Adam? Visit my channel and tell me about what do you think, for me would be a big pleasure to hear it from you! KILLING THY ART IS MURDER COVER! Greetings!
I edit the video in Pinnacle studio 15, and i recorded the drums in Studio One 2, this was mixed in Pro tools though i think
nice to see you wear shoes lol
Start to you use it when i was on tour with my band, at some gigs was it so cold so i had to play with it, feels pretty good now
This just made me realize just how bad the drum mix/volume sucked on the original track.
It's not bad, but maybe this one sounds a bit better? At least for a cover!
KholmDrums This is absolutely better than the original track mix. Too loud to be on the original track mix though. Which is forgiven because drums are the concentration. What's the snare mic ? I love it
some random no name mic
KholmDrums how did you get it ? Can you give me a link (amazon, etc...) pls ?
