Today's video is sponsored by Pro Facial Wand. In this exciting video, I dive into the world of sunscreens to determine the best options for 2023. Last year, La Roche Posay UVMUNE400 was my top pick, but this year, they've introduced a new formulation with a claim of OIL CONTROL. How does it compare to Garnier Invisible Face Serum, a strong contender due to its impressive sensor characteristics?

I agree: Garnier is the winner. I only wish they launched a larger version. Frankly, a 30 ml tiny bottle is not enough...
Couldn't agree more. 🤦🏻♀️
as a light skinned Indian (Asian), here's my view on US based UV filter ingredients - they are outdated!!
Here, in India, my sunscreen has to have UV filters like:
1) Tinosorb S
2)Tinosorb M (both are broad spectrum, UVA 1&2, UVB),
3)Tinosorb A2B (UVB),
4) Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide (during Summer, its a must).
5) I generally dont prefer Avobenzone since, it degrades really fast (within the first 90 minutes), but if a formulation has one, then i make sure it has to have Tinosorb M to stabilize its shelf life.
7) my favorite UVA II filter has to be Uvinal A Plus and as an addition, if it's in any sunscreen, i prefer it.
8) as for UVB, anyting with Istraconal(not sure of the spelling) is the best, as is Tinosorb M or Zinc Oxide.
I don't worry much for UVB as we usually protect our faces with dark helmets and even with any fabric, hat, etc.
UVA is a the deal for me.
And for my nightime, Blue Light Protection, i go for just anything with Iron Oxide (aka tinted) sunscreen but i don't actually believe in the "scare" of blue light until we have data to back it up.
I only wished if i knew how important UVA filters are even if we sit inside a house for a sunny area like my zone which has so much sunlight that our UV Index easily crosses 12 beyond which even the index calculation for UV isn't built to measure the intensity. But that's just for UVB so my natural melanin protects me and i go for Mineral sunscreen in Summers.
UVA stays the same all the year around, so, no matter what people think of you, just protect your skin!!! It ages really badly with UVA I and II.
And yes, please don't rely on your FDA approved rules for Sunscreens, they care more for being paid by the sellers to allow the actual sun filters that even the EU, Japan, Aouth Korea and Australia have permitted as safe!! And these countries have the best drug regulations.
La Roshe Posey is pretty expensive for my deal but i find really nice ones at less than $3 for 50 gm-100 gms.
Best wishes.
Hey please tell me why you go for mineral sunscreen in summer??
@@sangitadas4165 because, it is very resistant to the UV rays as opposed to the chemical filters which don't still have a full third-party tested data.
@@abc_cba But I have heard that high ppd chemical sunscreen gives better uva protection than physical sunscreen. What you think about this??
@@sangitadas4165 no, that's not true. Mineral Sunscreens have been used for more than a century by that I mean Zinc based ones. They have a better safety profile but yeah, don't go for micronised or nano particle based ones. We don't know it's efficacy.
As for chemical sunscreens, they don't provide a "block" effect but a "screen effect" no wonder why we use sunblock for Zinc based sunscreen. I use a new hybrid one right now. It's from Requil.
@@abc_cba Oh the Requil Blue one??
Yes! please be back with your useful sunscreen reviews 👌
Will do! 😄🙌🏻
Are there other Lòreal brands that use Mexoryl 400 or is it just La Roche Posay?
Thanks for sharing
You are welcome. 🤗
What do you mean by "sensor characteristics" in that specific context...?
What do high end mineral sunscreens look like under the sensor? I’d love to see skinbetter and colorscience…
Can u please test pipette sunscreen under uv camera
What is your hair routine?
Please review Babe super fluid sunscreens 🙃
