- King Charles III is officially crowned as King of the United Kingdom during his coronation at Westminster Abbey on Saturday. Charles' enthronement comes after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September 2022.
I can't believe I have lived long enough to see my second coronation. I remember watching Queen Elizabeth's coronation in 1953.

this was the first time I had sympathy for Charles and the position he was born into. Charles cannot hide his emotions. And for me, during this day, he was very nervous, insecure, and very afraid. He looked vunerable. And in my view, who wouldn't be when you were him?
