This is great! There's so many tips and tutorials out there that talk in depth about the grip and then the next step after that is just "bowl the perfect off-spin ball". It's very similar to the "draw the rest of the owl" meme. Splitting it all down like this is incredibly useful, thank you for the video!

Awesome tips!! Anybody with a link to this "Traditional Coaching Manual" that he keeps referring to?

Can you get him to explain the pronation thing? There is no way an off spinner can pronate in my opinion. Also a good way to create rock back and hip alignment is to have a shin lead with the front foot. It creates an automatic alignment

You're both wrong. If your spinning finger stays on the ball long enough and you rip hard enough then you will naturally pronate.

It is true a finger spinner pronates their hand on release. It's really hard to explain it and really weird to recognise. But grab a ball and spin the ball up in the air like an off spinner; your hand at terminal release will have dipped down at the index finger, which is pronation. The pronation does add extra contact time on the ball when spinning. Try and find slow motion finger spin release and you will see the hand kind of go under the ball at the very end.
The best example I could find on youtube to explain this was in: Learn the art of spin bowling - A Kia Masterclass with Gareth Batty. In this video there is a slow motion side on at 1.57 that you will see the back of his hand from side on as a result of pronation at release.
In this video he appears to show bowling straight into pronation will make it turn like an off spinner. Which it won't you'll be bowling a leg cutter if you bowl immediately into pronation with nothing else. Pronation is complex little detailed required to rip the ball hard.
      Hope this helps.

Have you completed the same work on leg spin. Would be fascinating to hear about that. Although much of what you say resinates with me as a leg spinner!

We have to spin the ball hard, and if we keep our palm or rist straight so the ball goes straight and it skites like a slider

Hey Paul, is there any non bowling arm technique which leads to increase revolution.

How on Earth can you bowl an off break with that hand position? Never seen it that bowled that way before. It would perhaps have helped if you actually showed a completed delivery in this video

50% of spin comes from your hips? How did you calculate that?

My point of view why not important thing to develop finger bowler that to make batsman off Ballance which lead to what he want give batsman to tease which quility line .why not talk about how make him uncomfortable .most wanted bowler in modern cricket .

Throwing should be banned in test cricket but with 20 twenty who cares but you would be paid more there is a lot of throwing in cricket more than 5 degrees. Actually would only have a minor affect I think anyway. As you said your whole body is in affect from your hips I rember spinning the ball once at nearly 20 degrees you feel that much force from your back foot into your front foot it feels like your tripping over but everything is balanced.

I’ve always suspected the pronate thing. No off spinner looks like they are “turning the doorknob” as coaching often says to do

Action starts in the direction of turning the door knob, to initiate the revs on the ball. Pronation occurs at terminal release as function, as said in the video, to maintain extra contact on the ball for increased revolutions.
