Agreed. I was at Santa Mara Speedway in 1997 for the WoO show. We got free pit passes and we were allowed in the middle of the track. I had been in the middle of the track many times before, but this track was different. The blitzkrieg was on as the green flag dropped and bigger than sh1t there was a hard four car wreck coming off turn four. After that, I bailed back into the pits. It was too fkn close.
Allowed? People should be able to take whatever risk they want. And the track shouldn't have to worry about being sued. You know, like it was 30 years ago before lawyers ruined the world.

It's a miracle that his car didn't jump the jersey barrier and get into those photographers. That could have been horrible. USAC and Terre Haute dodged a bullet tonight.
Dodged a massive bulley
Especially after the checkers and a bunch of cars have rolled through. People just naturally relax in those situations
Where's the Swanson crash? It took him three tries in a week to destroy his car. They other two cars he destroyed last weekend weren't his.

My guess would be drag link or tie rod broke, something steering related? Could’ve been the steering box itself. When it happened I Told my friends about a dozen photographers and officials just shit their pants lol
