Merry Christmas and a happy New Year 🎄to the whole team . This plane is not my cup of tea , I think it looks a bit odd . I think that other sport jets look a lot better IMO . Still seems to be a great All rounder . Great video though, thanks 👍.
I apreciate you pointing out the not-so-favorite aspects of a plane, along side the high points. I've seen a lot of excitement and enthusiasm regarding the SS on yt. And I get it. It's pretty damn cool. But, I prefer doing a deep dive on my rc aircraft purchases. Which requires an objective POV mixed in with the "hype". The lighting (or lack there of) at this price point, is a shame. I get that it's not easy to change at the factory. But, it's V2. I mean, cmon. Beautiful jet. Great camera work and flying. Hope you and Liz have a Merry Christmas or happy holiday- which ever is appropriate 😊 Also, I've been wearing the heck out of my 2BrosRc Tshirt. It's top notch and holds up to the rigors of a MidAtlantic Public Works supervisor work load a lot better than my TailHeavy Tees. Seriously. Your Tees are legit. I'll be burning up some Xmas gift cards on several more after the holidays. Thanks again Jon and Liz! 👍
Thanks Al! It was a rough one to get this out before Christmas week, but somehow we managed. Usually our editing is done at least the day prior - this one didn't finish up until nearly 11 PM last night. Rough. Happy to hear you're enjoying the merch! We picked a great shop to partner with.
Had a question for you. I noticed you keep saying that you need two batteries to run 8S. It looks like Smc sells single 8S packs. I’m assuming you’re referring to most people not having an 8S charger. Just curious
SMC does sell single 8 cell batteries, but we don't own them - nor do we own a charger capable of charging them. If you can get one, though, it would be an ideal option!
@@TwoBrosRC Uhhh, no it isn't. All you said was that accelerated stall "is the kind you get when flying at maneuvering speeds". That's your explanation? Sorry but that means absolutely nothing to me. Part of the reason I made the comment was to illustrate that you're talking jargon without explaining it. Not very good for a general audience. So it was a critique of your vid. Your vids are great and you're a much better pilot than I am (by a country mile.) and it may seem like basic stuff to you but it isn't to me and I've been flying EDF's for 10 or 15 years. I think this is going to be true for a lot of people. It turns out for me that I understand accelerated stall without knowing that that's what it's called. I just know that depending on the plane, you have to keep your airspeed up in turns. Hasn't been important flying my FW Avanti or my Flex Pirana but it was real important flying my FW Banshee. I guess that's because the wings are bigger on the Avanti and Pirana. Regardless, I went ahead and googled accelerated stall to understand what I think you mean. For any others who are perplexed by the jargon here it is. Acceleration doesn't mean changing your speed. It means changing your speed or direction. (You learn that in freshman physics.) So an accelerated stall means that you've caused a stall by changing the direction, either by banking or by pointing the nose up too quickly. When you change from straight and level flight, your wing is at some kind of angle and is providing less lift. So the minimum speed to keep the airplane in the air goes up. If you're flying straight and level and are at your minimum speed and then you bank or pull back on the stick, you'll be below the stall speed for that angle. So that seems to be what people would call an accelerated stall. I don't know if knowing that helps the average EDF pilot. Full scale guys have airspeed indicators and stall speeds are part of knowing your airplane. We have to learn it by crashing. I just know "don't fly your jet too slow." You know, KISS. Anyway, thanks for the vids. I may not buy a Scorpion but I will have to choose between 6 and 8S for the FW Raptor and you give us food for thought on the tradeoffs.
I thought fedex were just garbage here, every box looks like it's been kicked or stabbed at least once by any employee that touches it, but it seems like that's their MO all over the country. If I can't organize alternate shipping I just don't bother anymore.
Thanks for being honest. Been saying it on all the other vids about this... it aint a V2..still a nice jet tho.
I have been waiting for a V2 Scorpion for a while. I too was a little bummed out. No LEDs, no plastic re-enforcement. Everything else is good though.
Agreed. The Super Scorpion V2 has been waited on for a while, and I guess I’m not too bummed out but still slightly disappointed
Merry Christmas 🎄 Jon
I love your review always. Thank you John, Merry Christmas~! Greetings from Korea.
Looks like I may have dodged one on this haha thanks for the review!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Jon and Liz. Thank you both for a another review so close to Christmas. 🌲🌟✨🕯️👑
AirHammer out!!
Thanks for review, very good review.

What's an accelerated stall? Never heard of that.
It's explained in the vid lol
